I just purchased this adorable swivel chair for $85 including tax, from this store a few days ago…read more I own an AirBnB STR house in Temecula Wine Country, and wish I knew about this store before, when I was furnishing it, 3 years ago. A few days ago, they had several mid-century style pieces of furniture that were new. Seems like most of the furniture are manufacturer closeouts, or dent and scratches, This Habitat ReStore amazes me, because it is in a nice modern industrial building, which I have never seen Habitat occupy. The others I have been to , are in the oldest most run down buildings in low rent areas. However, as nice as this building is, you look way up at the ceiling, there is no AC or other cooling system. It was over 100 degrees when I bought this chair, outside temp. They leave the front door open for the breeze but you feel all the hot air, that is hotter than the temp inside the building. The employee at the cash register, near the open door where all the hot air was coming in, said "Yep, no AC". But if you didn't have air circulating, even hot air, it would be a greater hotter oven. They have a separate room, where they sell small stuff, not even related to building or home stuff, like bike helmets. The thing about this store, the things they sell here are newer, and not used and sometimes broken and chipped, like the other Habitat ReStores have. The donations come from manufacturers or commercial businesses rather than individual donors that are remodeling their homes, or got a new piece.

This company took several hours to respond back to me to schedule appointment, that alone should have been a red flag but I still gave them another opportunity. Appointment time frame was 7:00am-7:30am, when he hadn't arrived by 8:30am I called them to see if he was late, they gave me BS that he was at the county getting info on my property. Then stated he'd arrive by 12:30-1:30pm again DID NOT SHOW! (keep in mind they already had my $1,500.00 deposit) Basically this went on all day didn't show up until 4:30 pm and the man that showed up had no idea what he was there for instead wanted to chat about his kids instead of getting the job done! The company stated that the waterproofing work was completed and documented. However, after that response was posted, new leaks continued to appear, including leaks in areas that had never leaked before. Additional damage occurred to my home, including hardwood flooring and interior finishes. The company also stated that it does not reinstall unsafe components. Yet I personally documented damaged and broken pillars being reused, and multiple workers told me they had objected to reusing them. Most importantly, the company has since involved its insurance carrier regarding the conditions and damages at my property. Their insurance consultant inspected my home on March 18, 2026. If the work was completed properly and there were no issues related to the project, I find it difficult to understand why an insurance claim was necessary in the first place. Since then, I have been repeatedly told to wait for the insurance process. Months have passed, no meaningful testing has been performed to determine the source of the continuing leaks, no repair plan has been provided, no leaking doors have been repaired or replaced, and the missing railings and pillars remain uninstalled. The most frustrating part is that my home is still left looking like an unfinished construction site while the company points to an ongoing insurance review as the reason for delay. I do not believe a homeowner should be expected to live with continuing damage and an incomplete project indefinitely while waiting for an insurance determination. I genuinely hoped this matter would be resolved after meetings with the company's ownership and licensing representative. Unfortunately, despite promises that things would move forward, very little has actually happened. I will continue to update this review as events unfold so that potential customers can make an informed decision.

The demo company and I have already filed complaints with the contractors board and the financing company because this man thinks he can just take people's money and run. How does a grown man blatantly steal, lie through his teeth, and operate with zero integrity? Every response he posts to negative reviews is defensive, rude, and dripping with shady behavior. He cannot be trusted. Nothing he says is real. And I have the documentation to back every bit of this up. I wish I had dug deeper before hiring him. If I can stop even one person from getting screwed the way we did, then at least this disaster serves a purpose.

If there were 10 Stars Jason would receive them ALL plus additional. His work ethic is amazing his start time was 8am and was always on time. His job performance was neat and cleaned. I've seen other people works but his was far the BEST one. I feel like I have Brand new cabinets out the box. He matched the color perfect and he did ALL the work by himself. Only one word to describe the finished product.....spectacular! We searched for weeks and received multiple quotes until we decided on using Refinish Arts. Jasons references and explanation of his process is what made our decision. We had multiple contractors working as we remodeled our house and Jason did all the work within our schedule. We had our entire kitchen changed from the 1980's Golden Oak, to a darker espresso color. He also matched our staircase and spindles to match. As the project manager, Mike Gast was extremely patient and accommodating, and provided lots of feedback to solve various issues. This was a large project that involved removing the garage door, retrofitting 3 sets of doors, framing and finishing for a custom look, inside and out. They even installed special thresholds so we could be assured of being able to roll equipment in and out of the space easily. After each stage of the job, the crew cleaned up the area and removed all debris. The price quoted us initially was in line with competitors, better than several, who failed to follow up with us. There was no cost-creep, and we finished at the price quoted us. Progress and payment was tracked on their online job project site, which was an added benefit and inspired confidence. The reason for my 1-star rating is because when we were ready to schedule, we called and called and no one ever answered. My husband also tried and left messages that were never returned. I know they are a busy company, but it shouldn't be that hard to schedule once a quote has been provided. Perhaps Doug needs to hire a receptionist to help with phones. We ended up going with another company and I'm so glad we did. They did a wonderful job! They were also Yelp verified and backed by a $2,500 protection by Yelp. We chose a smaller company where we had direct access to the owner and communication was never a problem. The owner was also onsite every day of the job.
