My husband decided he wanted a pool table, but since we aren't pros nor rich we found one on offer up. Easy enough. Now comes the tricky part - moving the thing. Not tricky at all if you have mike and his team and pool table taxi do the job! It was a slam dunk! (I know, wrong sport!) I looked on yelp for various companies and shot out messages for quotes. Most were quick to come back with a high price without asking any questions. Mike gave me a call and asked me several questions about the table before even getting into the details of what the job and his services would entail. In the end he provided me with a price. Not only was he more affordable, but he offered a complete job! He was very professional and communicative throughout the entire process. Pool Table Taxi has a customer for life!! read more

I called Pool Table Pros and everyone I talked or texted with was so professional. Chris got me a quote and quickly scheduled me an appointment the next week. The cost was right where I guesstimated and researched so I thought it was fair for a move and installation from Oakland to Stockton.in between I got nice reminders in case I needed to make changes or had questions. On the day of the appointment Jacob texted me when they were on their way to the pickup with an ETA. Did I mention the pickup location was in a high rise around the lake on the 15th floor!! They arrived at my home and They took their time installing and did double checks that it was level. Payment was easy peasy and I was hitting balls instead of working from home by 3pm! I am extremely pleased with Pool Table pros and will definitely use them for maintenance and any other moves. I highly suggest you do too! Don't laugh at my pics still need to move some other furniture out the room and get it all set-up! read more

This company should NOT be in business. Do NOT use this business. Their customer service and service in general is absolutely unreal!!! Where should I even begin? First, see the photo of how they "leveled" the pool table. Are you fricking kidding me?!!! Who the hell does that? We checked to see if it was even after the two guys left when they said they had triple checked it...it was about 3 inches off :( really? so we went to move it over and yep, playing cards and pieces of broken wood holding up the table. Oh and they didn't show up until 6:30pm on a Friday on Memorial Day weekend and were here until 10pm when they were supposed to show up at noon. This was all after they had been over a week before attempting to set it up when they cut the felt wrong. Yep. They said they were coming back the next day. Never showed/called. We called five plus times with assurance that they were coming back and finally showed up a week later. Pool table taxi is horrible. HORRIBLE. No idea how they are in business. We were also told the owner was going to come out himself. He didn't. There were also LOTS of nails and staples left on our brand new wood floors. WOW is all I can say. So crazy that people run business and stay in business like this. Unbelievable! I wish there was ZERO stars. read more

Where do I start!!??? Wow. Horrible customer service. From the first phone call with the rude lady on the phone to the last call with the owner in the background cussing at me like I'm his worst enemy!! My pool table was delivered in a huge box on a pallet. I took my pool table home to be installed by Pool table taxi. The 2 guys arrived and started installing my table. (They were good, very kind). They got to installing the table and realized there was no slate. Wow that's a bummer the shipping company didn't deliver my slate. No their fault. I get a call from the lady that runs their office saying I am going to owe them money for the inconvenience. Okay I'm good with that... Wasn't there fault my slate didn't show up. And I didn't purposely have them show up with no slate available. So no harm, no foul so far. I hear Mike "the owner" in the background cussing at me and saying how I owed him money. He also threw a fit about having to come back out to my house. Mike relax, I'm willing to pay for the inconvenience. Oh no. He continues to fly off the handle and cuss. So that phone call ended with the office staff gal agreeing with how bad mike was talking and treating me bad. She stated she would get me back on the install schedule and call me later in the next week. Today I get a call and the first thing she says was she is going to refer me to someone else to install my table. They don't want to do business with me. So you take my money, take my old pool table I was giving you guy, (shame on me) and call me to say it's better off we go different ways with business. The best part is they blamed me for being the difficult one! I suggest to anyone and everyone stay away! They also made a big deal about paying them cash... Hhhmmm I wonder why?!?? What a disappointment to see a small business have no class and cuss at customers for no reason. Mike your business practices are shady. read more

We called Mike to get our pool table moved. He was friendly and professional from the start. He was flexible on available appointments. Mike showed up perfectly on time to disassemble the table. It arrived at our home damage-free. Mike and his partner carefully reassembled the table, taking extra care on all the little details. I highly recommend Pool Table Taxi. read more

I cannot speak highly enough of Pool Table Taxi's services. Anyone that wants a job done to perfection for a reasonable price should be using this company. Very pleasant and easy to work with. Also, they have a knowledgeable staff that are very quick and available to answer calls or texts to help you on putting together your game room as well! They are professional and leave your place looking like they had never been there. Sizing work was very accurate. Rarely do you see the quality and professionalism from any company today. I highly recommend this company, better than other movers in my experience and best in NorCal by far. read more

Mike did a wonderful job moving and setting my table up. He answered all of the questions I had and helped with the placement of the table

I can't recommend Pool Table Taxi enough! Mike and Adam installed our pool table today in Vegas after picking it up from Nor Cal and were so professional and friendly. They came in, got to work, worked with me about proper placement so it was playable and worked in our space. We had some scheduling issues on our end and they were so cool until we got it sorted out. Thanks guys! read more

Pool Table Taxi is the bomb! We recently used this company to refurbish a pool table that i inherited from a dear friend who recently passed away. Upon hauling the table back from San Diego, my wife Googled this company and we spoke to Michael, the owner. Michael went out of his way to meet us on our way home where he inspected our table and gave us a quote on the spot. I am a business owner myself. Michael and his crew are young entrepreneurs who have the best attitude, show the greatest respect, and are the epitome of professionalism. He and his crew were at our house the next day and spent 9 hours refurbishing our table, and came across a few obstacles that most companies would have given up on. I have a particular view on most kids these days who feel entitled with everything they encounter. Michael and his crew have restored my faith for our future generation. read more

Truly excellent service. I purchased a used table online and Mike and Nick went and dismantled the table, transported it to my house and set it up in my home. The distance they traveled was pretty far, almost 200 miles one way, not many people will go that far. The communication was great the whole time. They arrived on time and got the table ready for transport in a timely manner. The table arrived at my home in perfect condition and they got right to setting it up. After they finished the table we played a game and it played great. Thank you! read more

These guy are awesome!!!!! Mike and Adam did a wonderful job and were very professional and knowledgeable. Money well spent.

These guys are awesome!!! We had our pool table moved yesterday & Amey was able to schedule our move with only a 2 day notice; she gave us both an email & phone call confirmation. The day of the actual pool table moved, we were given a phone call ETA and Michael and Ryan showed up on time... These two guys did an excellent job! They spent so much time taking up our pool table carefully apart as well as reassembling it way better than it was even assembled before... They made sure our table aligned perfectly & even took the time to remove ugly staples out of our leather pocket holes and finish them nicely with adhesive ... Needless to say our pool table looks way better than it ever did before the move. You can definitely tell these guys know what they are doing! I'm shocked this company has anything less than 4 or 5 star reviews on here!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this company!!! read more

Really glad went with this service. Super professional, drove to Bay Area from Sac and met me at 8:30 to move a pool table I bought from FB marketplace. Helped move boxes the seller had stacked around the table in their garage then carefully dismantled the table, wrapping each section in cloth. Install at my home covered things I didn't even think of: measured from each wall to recommend best placement, used multiple levels, asked which direction I wanted the felt reattached for shooting. Definitely recommend them! Super glad we didn't try to move this ourselves. Much more to it than many would think. read more

Pool table taxi are real experts and most professional company Their true craftsmen moved my over 100 year old tournament 9.2 foot table perfectly installing new felt . Thank you so much Pool Table Taxi , you were so polite, your office was very nice to work with and the scheduling was great. Just an absolute pleasure to do business with you! WOW THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!! We needed our table refelted. Found them on Craigslist and made the appointment. Price was reasonable. They are in Galt and drove all the way out to Dixon with no extra charge. Another company we looked at charged mileage!! They were on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. No issues. Table looks great. I will be recommending these guys to family and friends. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. read more

They did a good job of moving the table. Price was a little high, and I was in a bind on time frame so I chose them to move the table and do the repairs. The work was done thorough and complete. You get what you pay for, I just found the repair to be a little expensive especially after calling and receiving price quotes for what was repaired. But they did a great job and my husband was happy with the re felting. read more

Not very happy with this company they left me high and dry! Called me 30 before my appointment and cancelled! Charged me $75 deposit so I wouldn't flake then they did! When we asked to talk to the owner they said our information would be forwarded to him but I never received a call back! Unreliable! I can't say enough about how great Pool Table Taxi is. I bought my brother in laws table in the Bay Area and needed to have it moved to the Sacramento Area. Francine was awesome to work with and provided me an extremely reasonable rate. I also had the table re-felted so that it would have a "new" look. The 2 gentlemen that installed my table were professional, polite and worked so hard. They worked until midnight to complete the job after getting stuck in traffic for several hours. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! read more

From the first inquiry, to exactly one week later when Mike was in my home setting up my table, he showed nothing but extreme professionalism and outstanding customer service. Flaked on us day of move. I understand companies have issues but seemed shady. Should have flat out said couldn't do it vs keeping appt and us wasting time on finding another mover. read more

Messaged them, got an extremely rude and unprofessional response from the owner. If this is how they treat prospective clients I can only imagine how they would react after I've given them money and if there was a problem. There are plenty of other pool table movers on here that are much more professional. Avoid these guys. read more

Pool Table Taxi is to be avoided at all costs! I have dealt with a lot of unprofessional companies and contractors in the past, but nothing like this group. The other reviews on here must be from friends, because my experience has been much more like the experiences with the low star reviews I read below. Tried for over two weeks to get them to move my pool table. They were so unprofessional its amazing they're still in business. After taking time off of work so that I could fit into their schedule, they cancelled at the last minute. They then did that two more times, each time claiming a "family emergency." Finally found another great pool table mover who came out the very next day and did a beautiful job. Having asked around, I also learned that they're not very professional in their work just like their scheduling. Unbelievable? So frustrating. How does a company stay in business when it is run so poorly? I would strongly suggest that you look for a more reputable company than this one. I just hate to reward such incompetence, which is why we finally went to another company. read more

Honestly this is the worst small business I have ever dealt with. They have wasted so much of my time. They have used excuses that range from "being so busy we can't get to you" to his kids are sick. I can understand being put off once but honestly this was the fifth time they rescheduled me to re-felt my table and they were the one who offered to do it for free after they scratched my new floors on a simple move. After being put off today again I scheduled the appt for July 30 2016 at 3:30. We shall see. I have a sense of humor can not wait to see what comes! Good luck Pool Table Taxi! read more

Michael, the Owner, called me back regarding a concern I had, and he was a gentleman about it, which I appreciate, thank you!

Very please with Pool Table Taxi. Amy who handles all the coordinating did a great job from the start. She researched the felt we bought from an online distributor and made sure they new what they were going to be working with. They gave us a price we could accept for re-felting only. Table was already installed and moved. Only the slate needed to be set. Once the guys came to start, they recommended we replace the cushions. The table we received from a friend and not familiar with the history and the cushions were apparently hard. We also put a lot of money into buying JackDaniels black label felt and they wanted us to be satisfied with the final product. Two days later (July 4th) the day of our party, Mike (the owner) and his partner came back to finish the job. They did a fantastic job and just had to break it in and play a couple games lol. While finishing up they have their recommendations in where to place the table so we had room all the way around. Also told us we could get new pockets online pretty cheap and they would be happy to come back and install them. Table is DONE! Looks amazing and all our friends love it. Definitely recommending these guys to our friends who need pool table work. read more

Excellent service! I would highly recommend their services! Two guys named Mike and Ryan showed up to move my pool table and they did an amazing job. This company was very accommodating. Their pricing was very good. Amey was very professional. delivery guys worked hard and had the table set up in a short period of time, while being very professional in my home. This business was selected by the buyer of our pool table to move it. They were flexible on a time that worked for us to be home. They showed up at the appointed time and went straight to work. They were professional and explained how they were going to do the job. They worked to protect our walls and railing - no small feat since the slate was thicker and was in a second story bonus room. From a seller perspective, they were awesome. I'd recommend them! read more

This company changed the date twice. They gave the buyer who paid for the move only a tiny discount for this after inconveniencing both families w last minute changes. They charge TOP DOLLAR for this service. Our move was of a smaller 7 ft, 3 slate table. Not some huge beast- but they added $6+ per stair, an 8 % fee for credit card payment - and so total was more than 2 x what we had paid to move it in originally. Close to $500 for a move of less than 3 miles!! The two guys who did the move were fine and they did a good job. But this company is very pricey and a bit flakey on the scheduling side - and if anyone is looking for a biz concept in specialty moving, they could use some competition. read more

Awesome movers, I called on a Friday and they were able to squeeze me in the next day due to my urgency of the move. Very clean, very fast, and very affordable. They laid out moving mats when breaking down so that nothing fell onto the carpet and vacuumed up before leaving. On top of everything else they had the best prices out of everyone I called. Also played a full game with me to make sure I liked how the table played. Couldn't be happier! read more
