After dinner on a Monday, we wanted to get a few games in. After Yelping the nearest billards establishment, we gave this spot a try. We walked in to plenty of tables and music playing in the background. Staff was extremely friendly and courteous. 2 of us ordered drinks and she offered water for the third person in our party. Sometimes, it's the little things that go unnoticed and I wanted to recognize this was appreciated. The establishment was clean and the tables from what I could see were all in great condition. Overall, a great experience and will return in the future to get some games in. read more

No-frills spot. I wouldn't call it a romantic date night - but my partner and I loved showing up on a whim around 10 pm and seeing the place packed. Got a table within 10 minutes and the music was great -- 90s and 2000s hip hop that kept me going. Definitely dive/grunge ... but not unsafe or gross read more

I had the of pleasure of visiting Hot Shot Billiards, I must say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by friendly and attentive staff who made me feel right at home, The quality of the billiards tables, cues, and balls is crucial. Well-maintained tables with smooth surfaces and properly balanced equipment can greatly enhance the gameplay and enjoyment. Fair pricing for table rentals and cue usage, as well as any additional services or amenities, is an important factor to consider. And the most important and remarkable the staff who work there they are awesome and they have best customer service, Isabel and Jennifer one of them who named Isabel avila she the best and have the best attitude very good customer service and Nasir who is the owner of the hot Shot he is very cool and hospitable, I'm recommending to visit this nice place and have fun. read more

This place is awesome ! I come with my friends all the time. The first time I come it it was really nice . I went to the front and asked for a table. All they asked for was my id and then they game me the balls . They let me pick my own table . They sold sodas for a dollar and chips. There nachos are really good . You can also choose a song for a dollar to play on there speakers. They reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because I would like them to have a cleaner bathroom Over all they are really nice , cheap and just a good time . I recommend this place. read more

I've been coming to this place for years, probably a couple of years shy of a couple of decades. Some have been on, some have been off. All in all, this place is what you would hope to find in a pool hall: friendly, helpful staff, lots of pool tables, with ice cold brews and helpful, friendly staff. I honestly can't really speak on the food, the ping pong tables, or a shortage of good brews selection, which has always been plentiful. But, what I will say, is if you're looking to shoot some pool, have some ice cold brews, all you really need is some good company and everything will fall into place. Having been here over the years, during different times, with different groups, people, it's always been a pretty chill and relaxed place, which I would endorse. read more

My buddy and I came here with a Groupon . We were worried since it is in a semi-shady area or at least definitely blue collar. Coming in, maybe 5 tables were played on at around 10:30pm. I think it was a Friday night. The guy and the lady working there were pretty cool and friendly. We had a good time with 2 hours of pool, nachos and 2 sodas. Kinda worn out tables and bad cues, but good if you have your own. Everyone minded their business and no one caused any trouble to speak of. Funny, I talked to the lady and she said she hoped my buddy and I would come back because their regular clientele was nothing like us. LOL. Funny, the jukebox, which you pay to play, started with Mexican/Spanish music, then Guns and Roses and Van Halen, then ended up with some hardcore rap. Too funny! read more

There are pros and cons to this place. I mainly come here if I want to play table tennis, since it's the only place in Sac that I know of that has table tennis. As for pool, there are plenty of pool tables normally available. Below is a breakdown of how I feel about Hot Shots: Pros -Wide array of pool tables -Cheap prices -Decent service -They have table tennis! ;) Cons -Sketchy location -The patrons here can get kind of rowdy at night -No AC!! This was a huge problem when I came here during a summer day. Ended up leaving early that time. -Food is mediocre at best (same kind of food from a bowling alley) I personally would opt for a different place if I wanted to play pool. There are other options in better locations. read more

Second time stopping by with a friend to play a couple games of pool. This time around we showed up a little early (1:45PM and opened at 2PM), so when the place opened, we were able to get whichever table that we wanted. The older gentleman behind the counter greeted us and promptly got us setup to play pool. Prices are reasonable and I believe they have a happy hour for games (didn't ask), but the bill came out to $4.00 for the table and two cans of soda, whereas an hour of playing pool would run you somewhere about $5.75. read more

I realized later that it's the complete opposite of what a "country club" is supposed to be. I went there around December of last year and was wondering if I missed it since it's not easily locatable. As soon as I get out of my car after finding it, there's a homeless looking man just standing there near the pool hall. So I step inside because I wanted to play pool. It gets worst... The tables obviously show signs that they were bought used and were not properly maintained. Besides myself, there were only two other people playing and they left after 15 minutes. I figured, might as well shoot some 9-ball racks while I'm out here. Well when I hit the balls, it would go in weird paths (should've been obvious from the start since the table cloth on the pool table was crap). Never again. Sure the hourly rates were reasonable, but I'll be never stepping foot in this ghetto ass joint again...

Nice staff, great tables, relatively cheap, and awesome vibes! The pool tables were really good quality and the place itself was a vibe with tons of music, nice people and great drinks! Definitely recommend, will be back. read more

They have a pin ball machine, 1 pool table and a shuffleboard which I don't think is in use. We came here because they were hosting a pool game for our league and the owner or manager was nice enough to supply us with food since they do not have a kitchen. The bartender was quick, efficient and friendly. The regulars were also very welcoming. Overall, it's more like a 3.5 but chose to round up since we had a good time and appreciate the hospitality of the owner/manager.

Came for the food, stayed for the vibes. Shoutout to the kitchen manager for doing an incredible job!
