We came here on a Sunday night and went straight to the bar - there was a little line and a bit of a wait, but not too busy. There is also a digital jukebox and it was playing rockish music. They have a row of about 5 large/standard 9' tables and then more smaller 7' tables. They also have dartboards and some arcade games. For large tables it's about $15-16 an hour... I forgot to actually ask about pricing in advance but we finished in a little over 2 hrs and also got 2 fireball shots and total bill was $41... Ashley, the bartender, was nice and I appreciated her being welcoming and letting us know about the kitchen closing at 11pm. She even said when we were leaving to come back and try the food. The only complaint I had was to have someone check the bathrooms more bc they were both disgusting- throw up in both men and women's sinks. Also it seems to be a hangout for youngin's (high schoolers) which is fine. I liked that it wasn't super packed and lots of tables and quality. read more

Came over here mostly to spectate during a league day. I have driven past a few times but have never been inside. Its big inside with many tables and lots of room for people. They have a small kitchen to serve bar food and a full bar. I dont know how much it costs but it was a very lively environment when there is a lot of people there. We had fun but the waitress saw me standing there holding my money and proceeded to keep walking, sitting down and then chit chatting with someone. I stood there 5-6 mins before she made her way finally. The gentleman that also works there was very professional, cordial and knows how to take care of customers. I grew up in Rancho and I never miss a chance to visit Diamond when I'm back home. It's the perfect place to catch up with friends, have some drinks and good food, and play rounds of pool. The bartender and chef were friendly and everything served was delicious. The chill vibes and music are always on point. Diamond Billiards is a really solid establishment. There are plenty of tables, the atmosphere is laid-back, spacious, clean. Rates are super fair! Staff is courteous and on top of their service. APA tournaments are Thursday's which is always cool to witness If pool isn't your thing, there are other games. Food is always fresh to order. Although me and my husband love playing pool, we actually came here because I saw they had steel tip darts. When we parked, there was a man outside whom I am assuming worked there (but not sure) who said they had a huge tournament going on and there were no tables available. Since we were there for darts, it didn't matter so we went in anyways. Inside was huge and spacious and lots of tables. And there were several available for play, as it appears the tournament was coming to the end. Should we had been there to actually play pool and this guys said that, we woulda never walked in and would have missed out on playing because of his misinformation. As I said, not sure if he was an employee or not, so not holding that against Diamond Billiards at all. We made our way back to bar area to inquire about darts, unfortunately to play steel tip darts, you have to bring your own, which we did not and while they had the plastic boards, it's just not the same so we opted to leave. Normally we would have just played pool but the couple we were with wanted to hit some breweries in the area. Overall, it was spacious, lots of tables, decent price per hour and our interaction with staff at the bar was pleasant. We came in on 4th of July with my kids- looking for something fun to do before all the fireworks. There weren't many people there, and the bartender was working on her own since it was a holiday. Let me tell you- this lady cooked and served us ALL BY HERSELF, we did not see anyone else working on the holiday... She deserves a raise, or a free trip to Disney or something because she absolutely friggin killed it. I love shooting pool but i suck at it lol i love coming here! I came out here wit my wife and nephew and i'm sad to say that my nephew whooped us both!! Haha they have big billiard tables and they have the smaller tables, the smaller tables are dollar tables which i prefer to use. I honestly don't know how much they charge an hour to play because we always stick to the dollar table because since i suck at pool i'll take me nearly an hour to finish one game lol. This place is great! They have lots of tables, they have a shuffle board, soft tip darts and metal tip darts they have a jukebox (i wish the music would be a lil louder) they also serve beer and food. Theres lots of parking spots outside. I honestly like this place a lot. Its fun, clean and the vibe is always live and i've never had any drama coming here. This place continues to improve - definitely a good thing for the Rancho Cordova community. I'm guessing it may pick up some of the load from the recent closure of Jointed Cue Billiards, and I'd say it's up to the task. I dropped by for dinner tonight, and it was very good! I saw a new item on the menu and decided to give it a try - the Steak Burger - carne asada, cheese, onions and garlic on a hamburger bun - served with fries (which I upgraded to garlic fries). It was essentially a Philly Cheesesteak on a hamburger bun... but the added flavor of the carne asada marinade kicked it up a notch! Very good! Plenty of gooey-cheesy-liciousness. The garlic fries were on point too... nice and fresh and light and crisp like I like them. I do appreciate how this place is coming along - tables are in good shape, steel darts as well as electronic darts... a good variety of other games. The TVs are good quality, sharp, high contrast Samsungs... definitely a step above the typical Visios or other "B" brand TVs you see in many other sports bars. Another thing that's nice is the jukebox... they have it set to play music even if nobody's paying for it. You can still put money in it to play your songs if you want to... but you don't feel *forced* to just to break the silence. Lower revenue from the jukebox for them... but happier customers, I think. I haven't been here in a while. Came yesterday to play in an APA tournament and I'm loving the new 7ft tables. The one thing I don't like is that when it's packed, there's really no room to stand, and if you are unlucky to get the middle table (#5), not only do you not have a place to stand, there's not even a spot for your sticks, drinks, or food. Also, the table and stools between table 7, 8, 10 & 11 is really in the way of everything. You sit, then you got to move for someone shooting on table 7, then 8, then 10, then 11. read more

Typical dive bar / pool hall. If it's hot outside, it's stuffy and hot inside. Bartenders are not super polite, as expected. You're lucky to get a table some nights, especially Thursday/league days. Food is typical bar food. Not a place you'd take your mom, but a great place for your future ex wife. read more

When I came in, it was on a wimb. I was pleasently surprised by both , menu options and staff quality. The food is amazing, and overall cleanliness of the establishment is top notch. I dealt with two bartenders, Amanda and amber. They made the whole place feel homely , not just to my wife and I, but everyone there. Pool tables are top notch, with options of 7 or 9 foot tables. Went here with a friend who was visiting because we used to play pool together in college . The place has such a good vibe. Families and youth were there. A lot of pool tables and dart games. The drinks is a little pricey. I paid $6.50 for a short IPA. $10 to have a table for an hour and they're food actually looked really good. The establishment was clean. Update to my previous review... Since the new owner Brian has taken over, Diamond has improved immensely. The food is awesome, and he just made a huge investment in some brand new Diamond pool tables. These two things alone put Diamond at the top of my favorite places to play pool. They also have steel/soft tip darts, ping pong, shuffle board. You name it, they have plenty of things to entertain just about anyone. Pretty fun place! They have several pool tables, a bar, billiards, shuffleboard, darts, and a couple arcade games. The dartboards are digital, allowing you to choose from a variety of dart games to play, which I thought was unique and fun. Everything here is inexpensive. The only negative thing that I have to say is that I wish they played music regularly. Instead they have an iPod juke box type of thing, which costs $1 to play two songs. I came on a weekday so it was pretty quiet and low key - I'm not sure how it is on weekends. If you live near the area, then this place is cool to hang out at or spend a date. read more

This place use to be a hit for me and the friends. We would travel from Elk Grove to play a few hours of pool and drink a few pitches. My last visit was terrible. It looks like they re-felted the coin operated tables and added an area specifcly for darts. They also raised the prices! I can't believe a pitcher of beer is now $18 for a basic, mass produced beer? The bartender seemed knowledgeable and professional. I had even accidentally left my card there. And, I have not seen any funny business with my money besides the fact that they gave themselves a tip with my card. Make sure that, if you pop out the door just to check on a friend who is going to their car or smoking, do not forget to put down the stick. The owner and his employees will mean mug death glare you and sporadically remind/harass you about him not wanting to lose any more sticks to thieves while you're playing billiards for however much longer you're going to be there, playing billiards. He really cares about his business and is trying to better it to make it good for the leagues along with the families.
