Wow I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place. I have been coming for years!!! It's definitely a local gem. For that reason the staff is friendly but not too inviting which could improve. Not that it matters all of us locals will still come. It's always a chill vibe. Always great food and drinks. Great for families, couples, or girl dinners.

Stephanie michelle Wisdom is a five-star bartender. She makes incredible drinks and is super friendly and attentive. She knows exactly what you want before you even ask. Her positive energy and professionalism make every visit a great experience.

Happy Hour!
Raheem A.

After making the 30 minute drive from our home to K1 Racing, we realized that we were three hours early for a friend's birthday celebration. Instead of driving back home, we decided to make a date out of the extra time. A quick Yelp "around me" search led us to Luna Lounge. Ironically, it was happy hour at the establishment; hence the nice gathering of patrons in the outdoor seating area conversing over glasses of wine. Upon entering the establishment we were greeted by an employee (unfortunately I did not obtain his name) who ushered us to the outside seating area and provided menus. My wife and I were not hungry, so we both ordered the chardonnay that's on the happy hour menu. Less than five minutes later, the server returned with two generously poured glasses of chardonnay. As we slowly sipped our wine, we chatted and enjoyed the very pleasant Spring-like weather. Although the chardonnay wasn't as flavor forward as we're used to (I think we have grown to be wine snobs over the year), we appreciated the price and the pour size. Also, the serve did a splendid job of regularly checking in on us. Since I'm rarely in this area, I cannot say that we'll make a return visit anytime soon. However, I encourage you to check out Luna Lounge...their food looks delicious!

New York Steak and Eggs with potatoes

The waitress was amazing - super friendly and did a great job checking in on us. I ordered a special and got the new york steak and eggs. The steak was very charred on the outside and did not have much flavor - also the portion was much smaller than I expected- so it was only okay. Eggs and potatoes were good. We sat outside and it was nice.

Delta Breeze

The delta breeze was an amazing and refreshing drink on a nice summer evening. Luna Lounge was busy that day and seemed to only have one waitress working but she was on her game and tentative. Will be back soon!

Delta breeze- light and refreshing

After enjoying glasses of chardonnay at nearby Luna Lounge (please reference my review if…read moreinterested), my wife and I headed to The Blind Pig to enjoy a few cocktails. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly bartender by the name of Ronny. Our first round consisted of two dirty martinis (my new drink of choice), which Ronny put his fist (that's a good thing) into making. One of the things that I love about dive bars is the various demographics that usually frequent them (along with their interesting conversations). For our second round we ordered a "Manmosa (yes I know that sounds ridiculously machismo in 2024)" that Ronny insisted on putting a fruity spin on. Not only were we thankful for his suggestion, but his version was GOOD! In real dive bar-like fashion, Ronny provided us both with an extra cup to house the remainder of the Manmosa that could not fit into our glasses (another dive bar perk). As we sat at the bar, my wife and chatted while lightly watching the movie Step Brothers on one of the televisions. Although it was a fairly slow Saturday afternoon, I can imagine that this place gets pretty lively in the latter part of the night though. We observed lots of seating, games, and an area for karaoke (toasted karaoke is the best!). I highly recommend The Blind Pig if you're looking to have deliciously strong drinks at a price that won't have you waking up the next morning rethinking the decisions that you made the previous night!

He always takes great care of me and my friends and makes amazing drinks and is super thoughtful! The food is just as solid. The menu has a nice variety, and the house fries are honestly so good. I can't say enough about their Wednesday girl dinner. You get a cocktail, a salad, and fries, which is kind of the perfect combo. My only wish is that they were open for lunch because this would be such a great daytime spot too. Overall, love this place and will definitely be back soon.

Think dive bar meets aloha: it's crowded and dark, nicely furnished and decorated with island style, and serves amazing tropical drinks and food. We went recently for the Aftershock 2026 promotion night. First 100 drinks were on them, and they had a raffle for a pair of tickets! There was a long line when we pulled up, but luckily, my friend was able to snag a reservation right at the start of the promo. (Pro tip: always MAKE RESERVATIONS!) I know it's just a bar, but they are so busy most nights, you will be grateful you got in right away and get to sit down at a table. They also have a patio for more seating. The bar itself is small and is right at the front, so it's crowded right as you walk in. The host stand is to the right. Service was very welcoming and polite albeit slow, just for the fact that it was a very busy night. The mai tai and pina colada were delicious, fruity, and strong. We ordered Spam fried rice (my favorite), chicken potstickers (OK), and the coconut shrimp (good and not too sweet). We shared that between 3 people and it was a good snack while we sipped on our tropical drinks, but we were still hungry when we left. It's a good portion for 1-2 people for a meal, and prices were average.

All the workers are nice, friendly and welling to help even the owner is nice. I have been a customer at least for the past 3 years and moreover and for the last year I would come by one or twice a week with friends or by myself. I was shocked when I visited this weekend because the prices went up in a crazy way even the regular hookah and customer service were bad unfortunately I asked about one of the smoothies ingredients he didn't understand but as it showed in the picture it looks like strawberry, kiwi and pineapple kind of smoothie whatever I ordered it with my hookah the smoothie came fast but I waited for the hookah 20 minutes which never happened. The smoothie was bad it taste like milk and pudding cream with a bit of strawberry I drink almost half of it because I paid for it I'm not sure if the place has new owner or something but they really need to work on the customer service and someone who's know how to make drinks. So the wifey and I are day drinking our way thru Oak Park on this particular Saturday and as we…read morewere kinda walking aimlessly after a few beers at a local brewery-we ran across this simple unassuming door with the name The Butterscotch Den written across it-it's kinda crazy because I had no idea where this bar was and for sure didn't know it was in Oak Park-I couldn't have been happier as this bar has been high on my must visit list for months. When we walked in I knew I was in the perfect spot-this bar has those low lights that all the bars in the 70s and 80s had-giving off a both romantic and mysterious vibe to it-I was in love with the place from that moment on. The music that day was awesome-I heard they have live music at times but at the time of my visit they did not-they were instead playing 90s and 2000s R&B and Hip Hop-it was wonderful-one banger after another-so yeah I was vibing. Our waitress couldn't have been cooler-she was as friendly as can be-suggesting drinks that were both on and off the menu-her and I were sharing tequila stories based on our shared affinity for the Fortaleza tequila they had in stock -which is super rare and it's how I judge every bar-whether or not they have Fortaleza tequila on hand and The Butterscotch Den had multiple bottles on hand. We ended up going with a few drinks that day. -Strawberry Negroni-($13.00)-This one blew my socks off-my favorite drink in the works is a Negroni but this bar makes a Strawberry version of it and let me tell ya-it's dynamite-10/10 rating -Old Fashioned-($12.00)-This is my go-to order at most bars because it's pretty reliable and most bars can make a decent one and I'd say they make a very solid one here-8.2/10 rating -Cucumber Gimlet with Tequila-($11.00)-This drink was made with lime-sweet vermouth and tequila-it was very refreshing and went down way too easy-rating 8.4/10 -Mezcal mystery drink-($12.00)-This was a drink the bartender made that after we declared our love for the smokiness of mezcal-I wouldn't be able to ask for it again unless I got the same waitress but if your a mezcal lover like I am-this drink was top of the line-smokiness intensity off the charts-9.1/10 rating So a little about the place that I picked up during my visit-I guess they serve food-I didn't know that but after my 2nd drink I looked back and saw this entire dining area with table side grills-so I guess the customers cook their own meats and such-pretty cool concept-my visit was strictly a drinking visit so I didn't partake but it looked pretty cool. I guess they are opened most days from 4p-12am and until 2am on Friday and Saturday nights. They do not have a dedicated parking lot for this bar but they are located near 34th and Broadway-so unlimited street parking is available for those who drive here. In closing-I really really enjoyed my visit to The Butterscotch Den and I was pretty sure I had found my new favorite bar in Sacramento with a bar in the Ice Blocks but I am pretty sure that has changed and The Butterscotch Den is my new favorite bar in the greater Sacramento area-if you find yourself looking for a new spot to enjoy some adult beverages or maybe looking for a date night spot-don't hesitate to make your way over to The Butterscotch Den-the place is a true hidden gem. PS-They have a Disco Ball in their lounge area and a vintage non-working cigarette machine-the coolest I tell ya.
