OK so here's the Situation report....It was New Year's Day and my power had been out for about 16 hours and I really wanted to watch the 49ers vs Raiders game. So I went out and my 1st and 2nd choice places were closed and too packed...so I quickly yelped what else was nearby and found Lighthouse and Cheers bar were down the road. I stopped at the first one I came across which happened to be Cheers (also I had been to lighthouse before and I'm always up for trying new things!) The parking lot was empty and it looked closed, but we still decided to give it a try. So we let ourselves in through a mini iron gate and opened the door that faces the street and to our surprise it was open! We walked through a mesh screen and a huge cleaning chemical scent hit us right in the face... it was super quiet too, but there were a handful of people there (Raiders fans- booo ) and they had the game on a few TVs (muted though since ppl were paying for Jukebox time). My friend brought in her Starbucks drink (since she doesn't drink alcohol and wanted a nice sipper)...she was immediately told that it's not allowed so she put it back in the car...I suddenly thought that this spot was not a good choice...but I really wanted to watch the game and to give it a shot. I was afraid the chemical smell would make me feel nauseous and cause a headache, but fortunately my nose adapted...and figured hey it could be worse..at least we know they clean and it didn't smell like shit. They actually had coffee there so my friend opted for that and she thought it was pretty good! I got Modelo on tap followed by a Jamaica cider. The Modelo tasted a little flat, but I got through it. The cider was way better. Cheap drinks so that's a plus (and they didn't taste like chemical - thank goodness). The first bartender (a girl named Sam I think I heard), was not the friendliest, but she still greeted and tended to us. Another bartender came in later, an Asian guy with great humor and a huge personality, and it immediately warmed the place up. There was also a couple that brought in some beef stew to share with everyone so that made it feel more welcoming. I ended up chatting with a cute guy named George (Cowboys fan unfortunately) who also was there for his first time. It got a little packed at the bar after halftime and my friend felt a little uncomfortable, so we left in the 3rd quarter and went to grab lunch and finish the game on my phone. Overall, It wasn't the best - I prefer to watch the game with the volume up and drinks and initial impression could have been better, but it ended up being just what I needed to get my mind off of my stresses (namely the power outage at home). I still like my other spots better, but wouldn't mind returning to the bar again and giving it another shot... They also have pool tables and an Avatar pinball machine that were calling my name. :)

Stoppping in here on my way home from Reno was maybe one of the best decisions of the weekend. Jennifer was just ending her shift and Noah was starting his, and they were both terrific bartenders! Spent a lot more time talking with Noah though, after he asked if racing was okay on the TV - um, very much okay with me! $3.25/coors light and friendly conversation - shuffleboard and pool table also!

    Pineapple upside down Cake SHOT!

Came here for the first time and right off the bat the atmosphere was super cool. Our bartender Christy was absolutely fabulous and her pineapple upside down cake shot was AMAZING!! Environment was super friendly and I totally recommend this place if your looking to chill have some drinks and have a GREAT time!!

Nice little dive bar. Friendly patrons and bartender. Mickey was amazing, friendly, and personable. Jukebox, pool table, shuffle board, and pin ball machine. Karaoke on Friday and Saturday. No kitchen but have chips for sale if you need a little snack.

Love this place. My boyfriend and I always go there!! It's a comfortable good fun vibe. Bartenders are amazing and freindly. One our daily relax spot!

What can I say about cheers? Stiff drinks and good atmosphere. Stop in on a late Thursday night and you will run into some crazy ups guys. The people are all interesting that frequent the place, I guarantee you will be intertained.

Ayeee she said, you want a fruit basket like his ? LOL

I would give Cheers a better rating if they would just have lights that didn't feel like you were being interrogated. Seriously. It's a bar.

Looking to meet up and chat over a couple drinks, I suggested that a friend and I meet at the Mecca Club. When our Lyft driver dropped us off at the establishment (I highly recommend using a ride sharing app when visiting this bar), I honestly couldn't tell if the business was still in operation. The outside sign was not illuminated, and at the time, the two motorcycles parked outside was the only indication of patrons. However, when we opened the back door (it literally felt like entering a secret society club), we were greeted by a friendly employee named Amy, laughter from some folks at the bar, and the sound of tunes coming from the jukebox. We took a seat at the bar, Amy politely requested to see our ID's (this is a silent compliment when you're in your late 30's), and we placed our orders for our first round of margaritas. As Amy concocted our drinks (she really puts love into making each drink), she greeted the patrons that continued to file in. What really stood out about Amy was her ability to not only remember the names of the regular patrons, but also their drink preferences (now that's what I call exceptional customer service). I did not watch Amy make our drinks; therefore, I cannot attest to how many shots she put in each drink. However, I will say that the drinks that are served here are indeed stiff (by no means am I complaining). Hence, why I suggested that you utilize some form of ride sharing if this is your bar of choice. If you're not in the mood to deal with downtown/midtown parking and the increasing prices of cute craft cocktails, I highly recommend checking out Mecca Club...enjoy and please be safe!

Fun West Sac hangout place!!…read more Parking: moderately difficult (metered, popular area) Ambience: 10/10: live music, outdoor under the open sky, super relaxing. Great crowd and overall flow. Entry: there's a line for ID check and wristbands, but it moves quickly. Restrooms: clean, 5 stalls per gender with plenty of sinks. No line when I went. Seating: mostly outdoor. Options include long canopy tables (fits: 6-8 people) or fireplace seating (extra $10). The building itself has really interesting architecture: loved it. There's also a small indoor area called "The Wing" with a nice bar and fun photo props. Service: ordering is done via QR code at your table and paid upfront. Food comes out fast (5-10 minutes). One hiccup: they dropped another table's pizzas at ours without confirming, and sauces cost extra, even basic ones like hot sauce have to be ordered online. Food & drinks: burgers, pizza, wings, fries. Drinks: beers and ciders. Highly recommend the lavender lemonade. Overall: great spot for casual hangouts with friends: definitely a fun place to bring guests.

We came it to just enjoy a quick beer and head out. The open space and kind of camp out vibe was amazing. If it's hot try to grab a space with shade otherwise you would get cooked. They have fire pits and games so you really can't go wrong. The food was ok, we got a pizza and the lemon hummus with veggies. The pizza was decent but the flour on the bottom took away the flavor. Mind you I love that they to woodfire pizza, I make woodfire pizza at home but ya just gatta watch the flour underneath to not lose the flavor or the crispness of the dough. The hummus was ok, I was hoping for a more lemony flavor and the veggies were cut really thin. As far as bang for you buck it was ok. They had women great beers and drinks on then menu so honestly the environment is set up for vibes. The food could use a little more love but honestly it's a great spot because in the end ... decent food, good friends, drinks and vibes ... you cant beat that.

This one man came in and let me tell you, he brought a party with him and partied the entire time. He as about in his 50s and he danced by himself, he danced with the young and the older. He was a whole entire VIBE. We purchased a table for 4 and paid $100 in advance. We were happily surprised to see that when we arrived we received a complimentary champagne and juice for mimosas! Ok so that's the good stuff. Here is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. We paid in advance for a table howevor, they let the people in first who did not have a ticket or a table, so we and others with tables had to wait until they paid and went in first. That defeats the purpose, in my opinion, of paying in advance. I hope they consider to allow advance payees in first. I mean coupled with the champagne, that would make it a complete VIP experience. The service. They had one young lady on the floor and she was stretched thin. She came to our table and took the order of our 2 friends and walked away. She did not take my and my daughters order. I was like what the heck. She walked to the next 2 tables, who had already had their food and took their drink orders. When I got her attention she was like "I know" and then walked to a third table before coming back to our table. I was flabbergasted to say the least. If they did not automatically put a 20% service fee on the bill, please beleive she would have received a lesser tip for that. I dont know if they were short staffed or what, but that was crazy. Please know your credit card will be required to open a tab. They put a 20% service fee on the bill. There is a $200 minimum spend for each table. Leading with that i will add, the minimum spend would not be a problem except, if you don't drink you are stuck with ordering multiple plates of food. I ended up ordering the fried chicken (3 large wings) and a French toast plate. I dont drink beyond mimosa and they do not offer any non alcoholic options aside from juice...at least from what I saw on the menu. The food... Omg, the fried chicken was lukewarm and had no seasoning on it. We doused it in hot sauce, that is how bland it was. The French toast, while pretty, was cold so I did not eat it. The eggs and potatoes were hot and sufficient. No one at our table finished the chicken. The catfish was good and perfectly seasoned. I wish they had seasoned the chicken the way they seasoned the fish. The table next to us did not finish their fish and grits. The lady told me the grits were subpar. Another lady did not eat her breakfast burrito. One person at our table spoke to someone about the bad service we received and they adjusted our bill so we were not required to meet the $200 table minimum. So that was a good save. Overall I would give 5 stars for the vibe. Music. Complimentary champagne. 1 star for the food. I hope they consider revamping their menu and marinating the chicken overnight in some good spices and frying it to order, even if folks have to wait a bit longer. Lukewarm unseasoned chicken for $15 was disappointing. Would i come again, absolutely. I would eat beforehand and not get a table so I dont have to spend $200. I would drink mimosas and party. I do recommend going because despite the food, the party is a VIBE!

It does pass by periodically however. Great vibe and fast service. My coworkers said they want to come back here again. Can you blame them if the boss is treating? LOL.

They were already on the patio with Tyler (The Server), who turned out to be the MVP of the day. We asked about the Pork Belly Tacos we saw on the game‑day menu... only to learn they were theoretical tacos. Imaginary tacos. Tacos that exist spiritually but not physically on game day. Tyler went full hero mode trying to make it happen anyway. Didn't pan out, but he gave it a valiant effort. To ease our grief, he brought shots on the house--because nothing heals disappointment like tequila. He made the whole visit a good time, so here's a big thank‑you to Tyler. If you wanted a larger meal, the menu includes options that seemed to cater to most people, at comparable restaurant pricing. The staff was pretty busy as the place was bustling with alot of people , but they all met you with a smile, and service was great. I did not try the food, only having a beer and a chocolate old fashioned, but if the food tastes anywhere as good as it looked , or like the drink I had, I cant wait to give it a try.
