Located at the yard right outside of spokesman in south Austin, Reem's has a different taste on shrawma than I've ever had. It has more of a char flavor on the chicken bowl and I liked it. Also came with good veggies mixed in which was a nice fresh touch. The food came out quick and there was a solid portion for the price. Only thing I wish they included was a hot sauce on it, as I had to add my own.

We tried Reem's at a Yelp event and I was so surprised to find they had dedicated gluten free options. The proprietor has a niece who's a celiac and said they made it a priority to be aware. And did I mention the falafel balls are delicious!

I'm sure glad I gave this spot a second chance. My first go around was with the lamb/beef wrap. Which was solid, very juicy with the sauces, and more than satisfying for a quick lunch, but quite a few chewy fat pieces from the lamb which left me less than impressed. But this time, I tried the Chicken Shawirma Plate - MY GOODNESS. Outstanding. First bite was a scoop of hummus, and let me tell you... I did not know hummus could be this delicious. Creamy, buttery, delicate. Do they put butter in it? I don't think so, but somehow it's that good. Next the chicken. Delicious flavor. Juicy, moist, just really good chicken thigh. Put it all together with the rice and the pickles and you have a standout lunch. The side tabbouleh salad (basically fine parsley and mint with lemon juice) was bright and a great compliment. Took about 15min late afternoon. Would definitely order this again and maybe try a side of falafel next time for a snack!

Best falafel I've ever had. Not super dense and light and fluffy. Hummus on point very light and creamy. Highly recommend!

Insane. Different. They even spell it different - shawirmah. The beef and lamb wrap is crispy on the outside. Go with the spicy hummus - just enough kick to get it popping. Bottom line - this is the real deal.

Ok make the drive to find this place! Don't pass it up! It is a place called the yard. It has the Austin winery and some pretty awesome food trucks. Sorry no pictures of my awesome sandwich from Reem's. It was super yummy and I could stop eating. Definitely a must stop and have a glass of wine and great food!!!! Picnic tables outside to relax.

Reem's is a phenomenal food truck that deserves more popularity, and hopefully, a brick and mortar down the line. Until slightly recently, their shawarma was the best in town, but they've now switched to using tortilla wraps instead of pita bread (costs maybe?) and the mouth feel and overall taste isn't the same anymore. I miss it, but I won't order again with the current changes, so I'll get my fix from the Phoenicia resto cafe or the Phoenicia bakery. Their bowls and plates are well portioned and incredibly flavorful!. Service isn't the friendliest sometimes, but if you're there for the food, who cares?. Just as their name indicates, their falafel is incredible and probably the best I've ever had outside of a Lebanese friend's home. Things I wish they had on the menu: Baba ganoush and toum /garlic sauce.

Best shawarma, tabbuleh, and hummus in Austin, hands down. Worth the drive even if you're further north

We ordered the half order falafel with hummus, mint lemonade, lamb kabob platter, and beef kabob platter. Everything but the salad came in large Texas style portions. I requested the beef be cooked to medium and the temperature was perfect. Tips: Substitute the tahini in the kabob platters for tzatziki and request garlic sauce on the side. The garlic sauce enhances the flavor of rice.

However, I'll think about coming here again because I didn't feel a good vibe with the service. We had to go look for someone to show us the table even though the place was empty for early lunch. Then, to get drinks or even the order was a problem. It took so much longer than usual. Our waitress was rude, and seemed bothered that we showed up. Then someone else came as the waitress and she was preoccupied with other tables and barely checked on us. A regular lunch which would've been one hour became almost two because of the lack of service. My friend had to stand and look for someone to give us a box to take out the good we couldn't eat because it was getting late and also to get the check because No one came in to check on us at all. It was almost like pulling teeth to get a regular service let alone good service. Again, the food was really good, and that alone was the only positive.

The grocery store has fresh fetas, olive bar, fresh in house made baklava (traditional, pistachio, walnut).. that was amazing! NOT soggy and 2.50 per piece.. great layers of crunch on the top and not too sweet. I'd go back for a tray of those!! We will def be back! You should check this out too! I've only ever ordered takeout at the counter so I can't speak to the dine-in experience, but the service is smooth and efficient. Dessert is ready in about 5 minutes and food orders during busy dinner hours have taken around 20 minutes, which honestly wasn't bad at all given how packed they get. Everything is always packaged nicely and securely, and the food is consistently delicious. They also carry other sweets worth trying like honey cakes and pistachio baklava. On the savory side, some dishes I've really enjoyed are the Mezze Platter, Beef and Lamb Doner, and Ribeye Steak Shish Kebab. It's not super loud but the front can get a bit overstimulating when it's busy, so if you're not a fan of crowds I'd recommend coming outside of peak hours. This most recent time, I didn't realize until I was home that they forgot to pack one of the baklava cheesecakes I'd ordered. They were able to refund me over the phone when I couldn't come back to pick it up. Highly recommend!

Governor's Mixed Kebap Plate ($26.95): The plate came with chicken, köfte meatballs, ground lamb kebap (adana), ezme, pickled red cabbage, onion, rice, and a sauce. I chose the crazy grain rice which is a mix of black rice and lentils, and the spicy harissa sauce. The ezme, pickled red cabbage, and adana were my favorites. The chicken was good too and the köfte meatballs were my least favorite of the bunch. The pita bread was also fire and super fresh, honestly one of the best I've had when it's heated up and warm. The box was completely packed and was easily enough for 2 meals or to share between 2 people. Zucchini Yogurt with Fresh Dill and Walnuts ($3.25): Not a fan. It had a sour aftertaste with a citrusy zing that made me think this went bad. Chicken Lemon Orzo Soup ($6.99): Came with chickpeas, shredded chicken, and orzo. It was really yummy, especially paired with some sourdough bread I had on hand.
