    Mezze plate
    Sondra H.

Gorgeous presentation of the mezze plate, accompanied by a basket of steaming pita! Hummus, baba ganoush, muhammara, and labneh, with picked beets and cauliflower, plus a generous portion of olives. Hummus is smooth and creamy, baba ganoush is smokey, muhammara is sweet and chunky, and labneh is light. Minus one star for the pita. I feel like pita is the foundation of a Mediterranean restaurant. This pita tastes like store-bought wheat pita. Compared with the thick, fluffy pita at Suraya in Philly, it falls very short. Maybe this is someone's mom's recipe. Maybe others like it. Not my taste. A shame because everything else is so good and will deter me from returning.

Clean and cute location, you order at the cash register before grabbing a seat. I was blown away by the falafel wraps (5/5 stars) and the Pali Cali flat bread (5/5 stars). My partner liked the M.L.M. (3.5-4/5 stars) but I was less of a fan because I personally didn't like the flavor or the wetness of the red peppers. Their chocolate chip cookie with sesame seeds (5/5 stars) was #1 out of 23 different SF cookies in a blind taste test and I thought it was phenomenal - but at $6 each, I doubt I'll order it again.

    Lamb wrap with consommé

Love this place. Everything I've had just makes me so happy. Today I had the lamb wrap with consommé and it was soooo juicy. Lamb was perfectly seasoned, super rich and brightened up with my fav - red pickled onions. The consommé on the side was a sophisticated touch. Looks spicy but is actually mellow, and with a squeeze of lemon it's delightful. Ambience is bright and lively, and staff seem very nice. Simple menu makes ordering easy. Highly recommend whenever you want to get something other than a burrito in the Mission. :)

This is purely a review for Reem's chocolate tahini cookie. Would love to try the other food options someday, but I mainly come here for the cookie. Saw that their cookie was rated the best cookie in SF by The SF Chronicle, so I had to try it. Liked it a lot the first time, and have gotten the cookie a handful of other times whenever I'm in the Mission or at the Ferry Building. It's pretty good; I love the toasted sesame seeds all over the cookie, the chocolate chips are nice and gooey, and the tahini gives it a nice lil bit of umami. Crispy edges and soft center is my preference for chocolate chip cookie texture, and this cookie has it. Doesn't hold up as well cold, but once I give it a quick toast, it's a solid 7.5-8/10 cookie.

    MLM flatbread $22

It was not crowded at all on a Friday afternoon. Foodwise: - 4.6/5: MLM $22. It's an arab bread with toppings. The bread has great chew. Good topping combo. - 4.4: La Gringa $23. Good wrap overall, and the sauce that comes with it is great. - 4.0: Baklava $5. Better than average. You can tell it's freshly made and crispy. - 3.5: Chocolate Chip Sesame cookie $5. Way over-hyped. It's below average compared to a typical good chocolate chip cookie.

Definitely get the refreshing watermelon & feta appetizer. Mezze sampler was also fantastic! Consider getting extra bread for all the hummus, labneh, and harissa-based sauce - we felt like the one piece of bread we got wasn't enough. The pickled cauliflower was especially good. Falafel was fresh (you can ask for it as a side - you get 6 pieces), and the accompanying sauce perfectly flavorful. The MLM flatbread is a delicious pick. Cheese man'oushe was classically salty (a bit too much for my taste & my least favorite of the dishes), and za'atar man'oushe was good but not mindblowing. We rounded out the meal with some white wine from Lebanon, Merwah. Service was pretty quick, and the place was well-decorated. A guy with a guitar came into the restaurant and started playing while we were eating.

I got a falafel wrap for lunch and thought it was super good! The falafel was moist and the wrap had a tasty sauce. I enjoyed it and love that it is super close to where I live. I do think it is a little high in price but definitely worth a try!

Loved the mezze plate. get another pita it only comes with one. I like the hummus best and the roasted pepper. I really liked the decorations and lighting here. I didn't really care for the gringa wrap. I think I am just picky with lamb sometimes. there were just a lot of chewy bits in mine and I am weird about those kind of things.

    Ria B.

Everything was sooooo yummy! There is seating inside and beautiful decorations on the walls! The service was prompt and the food was great. The cookie was a take on a classic chocolate chip cookie with the sesame seeds on the outside added a nice nuttiness. The corn flatbread was so nicely spiced and the sauce went really well with it. The zatar bread was also so earthy and seasoned! Loved this place.

Delicious food, cute atmosphere, excellent service -- what a great experience! Came on a Saturday to celebrate a birthday and there was a DJ. We ordered a mix of items to try (I forgot to get pictures of the flatbreads and hummus with lamb) and everything was delicious! Highly suggest trying this place out.

This restaurant is located in the mission and wanted to support a Palestinian-owned business. Can't go any wrong with places in the mission. Parking: The usual, it's SF, and gotta look for parking by curbside Service: I genuinely felt like I came over to somebody's house and they took care of me with love. Ambiance: The place was very colorful and decorated in lots of Palestinian art Pali Cali $21 (8.5/10): This was delicious, the olive oil made it taste rich with the chicken and I genuinely felt like I was eating bone marrow. I love arugula and made it refreshing to eat with it. Had an add-on of labneh ($4) and was shocked that it was so expensive for sauce, especially since I expected a lot more for that price. Falafel wrap $16 (7.5/10): This was good, I'm used to having homemade ones so my standards are high. Not the best but it's a good option if you don't mind it being more on the expensive side. Overall, this place is more on the expensive side as expected when eating in SF. The ingredients are fresh and the place feels homey.

    Choc chip halawa cookie
    Sally Y.

My daughter chose Arabic food so we went to Reem's and found ourselves in a welcoming, brightly lit, corner restaurant with upbeat music in the Mission. We ordered: Pali Cali, La Gringa Labneh, Muhammara, Watermelon salad, Falafel salad and a Choc Chip Halawa cookie. For drinks, we had Damascus lemonade and Hibiscus rose. We especially enjoyed the fresh watermelon, the crunchiness of the falafel and creaminess of the labneh. The cookie is a must-try especially for those that love chocolate chip! Walking around in the Mission is good fun afterwards, staring at the murals while the sun sets...

    Falafel wrap
    Makayla S.

I ordered this for delivery. The falafel was really good, not dry at all. The wrap had great flavor; lots of mint, cucumber & tomato. The wrap was fresh and traveled well during delivery. The reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars was because it was more on the smaller size portion wise. Maybe I'd try something different next time.

This time, I came prepared and arrived at 10am and mission accomplished! Beef Birria Pain Suisse -- 9/10 This tasted exactly like a birria taco wrapped in buttery puff pastry form. Super flavorful, rich, and flaky. My only minor complaint was that the consommé soaked through the bottom a bit, so it lost some crunch, but the flavor more than made up for it. Baklava Bun -- 8/10 Such an innovative pastry. It had all the warm, nutty, spiced flavors you'd expect from baklava while still feeling like a proper laminated pastry. Pistachio Cardamom Sugar Croissant -- 9/10 Best sweet option of the bunch. The exterior was perfectly flaky and crunchy, while the pistachio cream filling was rich without being overwhelmingly sweet. The cardamom added a really nice aromatic touch. Pork Bun Bearclaw -- 10/10 My favorite item by far. It tasted like a baked char siu bun crossed with a buttery puff pastry. Savory, slightly sweet, and incredibly satisfying. Twice Baked Biscoff Croissant -- 4/10 Unfortunately way too sweet for my liking. If you're a huge Biscoff fan you might enjoy it more, but it was overpowering compared to the balance of the other pastries. Overall, definitely worth the hype. Just make sure to go early unless you want to risk staring at empty pastry trays. The rotating menu keeps you on your toes and already has me wanting to come back to see what they will come up with next.

Even so, they were refreshing that pastry case so that I was not without options. So many amazing-looking things, so I got 3 things just for myself: Chocolate Banana Almond Croissant $5.25: The classic, I had to try. And it was so good!! I thought it might be too rich, but I actually found it to be quite balanced. I loved the fresh mashed banana/banana purée inside, and it went really well with the chocolate. I didn't get a ton of almond flavor comparatively, but I appreciated the coating on the top for a heartier crunch in addition to the croissant flakiness. Like everyone else, I would definitely recommend this one! Passionfruit Bostock $4.25: The staff person helping me told me this was a good option, so I was happy about that. I would agree! It has a beautiful crisp on the outside and a moist crumb inside. The passionfruit flavor was really nice and not too strong. I believe they rotate different flavors of this one, so I'd definitely want to try more. Bostocks on the whole are underrated, and I think they have just the loveliest texture. All-in-One Cake: This is so creative. I was going to stop at the above two pastries, but when the staff person said that this cake was quite literally made up of all the other cakes seen in the case, I was already sold. How cool and creative and reduce-reuse-recycle is that!!!?? I love! And it was such a fun eat! I love how they added crust at the bottom and a gorgeous chocolate layer on top to tie everything together. And every bite was a little different: some fruity, some nutty, some crunchier. Super cool. I was able to nab a table and work a little bit, which was nice. It's a good vibe inside with a little hustle and bustle, but still cozy overall. I'll be back!

Pineapple King is a place I absolutely have a love-hate relationship about. I like how innovation the buns are, but the ordering process - regardless of whether I waited in line or I ordered in advance - has been very disappointing. I placed online orders in May 2021, April 2022, October 2022, June 2023, January 2025, and then today. (Thanks to my email which reminded me of the dates) Every single time I had to wait extra time for my previously placed online order to be ready. After several times of waiting for an extra 10 minutes, I decided to give them extra time to prepare the buns. It simply did NOT work. They always, and I mean always, asked me to wait for 5 more minutes. 5 minutes passed, and the order was still not ready. The average wait time has been 10 minutes in addition to the announced pick-up time. You might want to say, oh, I would like you to receive your buns warm and fresh. Thanks. But if a customer is late, they don't deserve warm and fresh buns. On the contrary, for us who are on time, why do we have to wait for extra time? Please consider adjusting the estimated pick-up time if you are super busy. I understand your store gets busy, and congratulations about that. Please ask your staff to give us a more accurate "extra wait time" because we customers are busy too. Our time is no less valuable than yours. Besides, I understand that you need to check our photo ID during pick-up. Please be consistent with your policy. While I was waiting by the pick-up window, I noticed there were customers who were not asked for their IDs, and they actually picked up their order after a 2-minute wait. Questions can be raised if you only enforce your policy either randomly or only towards several customers. After a few disappointing visits, our family are sad to say that this will be the very last time being your customers. How you run your business just don't align with our values. I do wish you all the best in your business. Thank you for reading my comment.
