Fast forward three years, I finally tracked them down at the German Village Makers Market (GVMM). This is an all-vegan food truck, and there menu simple, but with enough offerings to make me have to put some serious thought into my decision. First time, I tried their Loaded Breakfast Potatoes. Pretty yummy! Would have been even better had the fake bacon be more prominent, and a runny egg atop more have bumped up the jam, but I was satisfied, and it was a large entree that lasted a couple of meals. At the second GVMM (in late August), The Little Kitchen (TLK) was open and serving again, so I picked their vegan Breakfast Quesadillas. This meal was kinda a letdown. I couldn't taste anything else besides the creamy cheeze. Yes, the cheeze was good, but almost too much; and I couldn't taste the scrambled tofu of vegan sausage, which is a total heartbreak, imo. I would not recommend this dish ($12). The vegan sour cream was good, but if I can't taste the protein - my #1 in ANY dish I get, then that's an immediate down-grade. TLK Does have some other interesting sounding items on their menu, and it does seem to change up every so often (of at least a few of the offerings). I'm glad this food truck is for the vegans, by the vegans!

Lots of sandwiches on the menu, but I wanted bar food, to go, so I got some pastrami wings to start. Good wings, not great- pastrami spices, fairly meaty, not bad. I also got fried brussels sprouts. Yowza! Small sprouts, fried in, I believe, brown sugar and prosecco. So, a little sweet, a little sour, very good. Finally, some schmaltz potatoes. I wasn't sure if they'd be mashed or what; they were essentially potato wedges, but the best potato wedges I have ever had. Soft inside, a bit crispy outside, great fatty flavor with a little salt. Man, they were good. I'd go back here, or the truck, to explore the menu. They know what they're doing.

We have been waiting to play at this venue for awhile. Come here all the time for shows and wanted to get our foot in the door, to be able to play this venue again. I guess I should start out with some general info. Challah is actually located inside Woodlands Tavern. I will definitely be back to Woodlands if not for the food it will be for the beer and their happy hour prices. But the food was incredible. It was hard to believe that it came from a bar. We shared our food of course. We got the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and the Greg's Pastrami Wings which are brined, dry rubbed & smoked. Both were insanely great and are worth coming back for again and again. Which of course we will do. It also helps that this location is just around the corner from my job. I could actually walk to it from my work building, but I usually don't. I would be interested in knowing if there is still a food truck that goes around. I am only aware of the location at Woodlands. Please update your website with updated info on this for your customers & to get new ones. Some people do not visit bar or establishments that serve alcohol, yes believe it or not. So it would good to be able to provide locations to friends and family members.

I also communicated how the company is unable to pay upfront, but I can ensure you that we will have a minimum amount of people who will be at the company event. We had numerous talks throughout the month of May after our first initial contact leading up to the event. I contacted the vendor the day before the event confirming their arrival and providing them again with the estimated number of employees. The day of the event, I called to go over logistics regarding time and where to park. Their response was "we didn't know if the event was still going due to rain". I informed them we are still having the event rain or shine. They assured me then they will be there. I called 10 minutes prior to the event and got a different response. I was informed they were waiting on the truck to be delivered back to their home as a relative had it and that they could not give me an ETA. Time continues to go by with no response until an hour and 50 minutes later, in which stated, "my son hasn't gotten here yet". During this hour and 50 minutes I called twice and texted twice with no response. I am very disappointed in the service that was provided seeing as there was no service at all. From this experience they have shown how unprofessional, dishonest, and deceitful. I would not use or recommend them to anyone in the present or future.

Posted this same review to google…read more *Warning* to parents of very young children, specifically toddlers and infants. This place has EXTREMELY intense entertainment. We visited this restaurant for the first time on Sunday evening around 5:30 and had a most unpleasant experience. Not due to food- the food was great. Menu selection great, drink selection great. Little pricey, but okay. The initial atmospheric vibe, great. Unfortunately, we were completely unaware of a ritual apparently the restaurant performs periodically. About 15 minutes into of us being there, while we were eating, the lights went dark. After a couple minutes passed and we're wondering what's going on, music started blasting at an insanely loud volume.I love loud concerts and even I was wincing. And then some wild looking alien/robot guy on stilts comes out and starts dancing around. Our 5 year old son had a complete mental breakdown. He is a little sensitive to loud sounds and this scared the absolute daylights out of him. Understandably so, because like I said the volume was violently loud. Due to this alone, we won't be returning. Even without kids. I can't overstate how painfully loud the volume was, at least during this specific instance. It was one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences we've had. It lasted about 10 minutes. It's a real shame too because before the chaos, we were really enjoying ourselves and the restaurant. We were even going to overlook the fact that our waitress forgot to bring my wife's soda. We just wanted to leave after that for fear of it happening again. I hate to sound like a pansy or overly protective parent. It was clearly a "iykyk" thing. Everyone else in the restaurant loved it. Good for them and to each their own. If only someone had come around to the tables with young children and gave a small warning of "hey, it's about to get loud", that would've been great and very helpful. But nothing. Their website doesn't state anywhere that this is something that happens. There are videos of it, which is fine, but the videos do not convey the incredibly loud volume of the place when this action goes down. We won't be returning unfortunately. So fair warning to parents of toddler and infant children- bring soundproof headphones for your littles or prepare to step outside when it goes dark.
