What impressed us right away was Ben's friendliness, and skill at explaining the process and steps he would take to build our driveway. He made sure to involve us in any decisions that needed to be made. Since we wanted to widen the driveway, he said he could demo part of the brick planter and reroute it to give us more space. We asked for handrails up to our porch and he got us just the color and shape we asked for. We were so pleased with his work that we added on the rebuilding of our backyard planter that was falling apart. Ben and his team worked extremely hard every day, and Ben was on site from early morning to quitting time, just as he promised he'd be. They cleaned up the site every afternoon before leaving. He responded quickly to text messages and phone calls and always kept us updated on anything that came up. We took our some cabinets, and needed to fill in a large section of pavers. We needed it to match and look as seamless as possible. I had doubts as to whether this could be done at all. They took extra pavers we already had- that we had stored poorly and they were very weathered and dirty, and other companies said couldn't be used. (The specific pavers are no longer are in production though) Cement Kings used these, cleaned them thoroughly with special solution, cut them to fit, and did it in such a way that it didn't look like a block had been replaced. We had also had them re-sand and re-seal the entire patio of pavers. It looks fantastic. They moved all of our heavy furniture out of the way, and later put it all back neatly, even taking care to dust it off. So reliable, professional, easy to work with, and willing to go above and beyond. Also the "Cement King" is so nice - even welcomed my curious little observer to "help" him (see photo!). And besides that, their pricing was definitely by far the best out of many quotes we got. And for the BEST SERVICE. Highly recommend!!!

Just had Vicente and crew finish a very tricky walkway. It bordered our house and a hillside…read moreretaining wall. The old walkway was coming a part and we needed a new one. Vicente came out spent a good amount of time talking to me to figure out the best way to do this so it had excellent drainage and a nice appearance. Good communication all the way around which is very important for contractors to do. And a lot don't. He put a low curb on the outside edge building everything up. Excellent job on the prep, good rebar work ( like it's supposed to have) - the old walkway had none. We put some color in the cement which cost a bit more. It really has a nice clean design and so much better than what we had. Everything turned out great. The price was very reasonable compared to some other bids I got. This is a smaller family run company so they don't have the overhead some of the other guys do. It did take a day longer to do, but I really think it was more complicated than originally planned. I had the demo done first, then they had to take a one week break because I needed to have other foundation work done by another company, so they were able to accommodate that schedule. The cleaned up well each day and clearly know what they are doing. I did get charged extra for putting in all new drain lines which was not part of the original bid but the price seemed reasonable so no complaints. Would strongly recommend for any type of masonry work and I'm sure I'll have more in the future and he gets the call.
