The Corona brothers are the best!!!! Love supporting this family business, started by their father and now run by Manny, Danny and Alex. Before starting the massive driveway project at our house, I met with about 6 contractors/companies. The range of estimates I got was mind blowing - and Crown Pavers was the fairest (not lowest) of them all. I wanted pavers, which is usually more expensive than other finishes, and their bid made it possible. Once I decided to move forward with Crown Pavers, I ran into serious permitting delays with the city. Manny and Alex assisted throughout the process, which was finally resolved after a couple of months. Original time estimate for the project was two weeks (we have a large driveway and backyard area). Pleased that the crew finished everything from demolition to completion in 4.5 days!!! We get SO many compliments on our driveway and yard - it changed everything about our outdoor space. Crown was even able to help install low voltage lighting at a reasonable cost - further improving the curb appeal of our home. Review to follow. Was waiting for them to make good on their offer to reimburse me for a fence they destroyed before posting this review but since they are now playing games and have not reimbursed me for a damaged fence I will continue to post and also file a formal complaint. If I could give this company no stars I would. The initial consultation was with Danny, who was referred by my family who's paving he did in Eagle Rock and did a great job. When Danny came we discussed the patio being raised and the need for an extension joint because that had been an issue with the project in Eagle Rock and had to be done AFTER the paving was completed. Also because it was in the middle of Covid, I asked him if there would be a Porto potty for the workers and he said absolutely So when the project started Alex showed up and introduced himself so I assume I was a victim of some kind of switch up but Ok fine. From the beginning there were issues. The crew was trifling and everyday I had to pick up banana peels, trash and water bottles. They threw items in the flower bed, in the pool and even on the roof. They NEVER cleaned up after themselves even when the project was "finished". I have pictures and will download them later. I even had to go back and forth with Alec to clean up( pick up the re bars that they pulled up under the concrete. He told me the pool people were responsible for that which I knew wasn't true because the people working on the pool always cleaned up after each day. Alex built a fire pit. The workers that installed the gas line asked to use my bathroom several times AND left the gas leaking. When the $7,000 fire pit was done, the flame was off centered and didn't even fit the fire pit. It was way too small. I had to go back and forth with Alex about that and he made it seem like I was asking him to fix something unreasonable. The workers discarded the side railing from the pool and threw it in the flower bed. I found it a couple of weeks later after the pool guys plastered over the steps assuming I didn't want the railing anymore. Alex refused to reimburse me for that. Then I asked him about the raised patio which he made flat and he gave me some off the wall answer about it had to be level with the coping which it wasn't before and had been discussed that I wanted it raised. THEN.... Alex asked me if I wanted to keep my gate. I told him YES... well I guess he didn't relay that to the workers because he demolished the gate... then took it for the metal I'm assuming. He later agreed to pay for half that I spent to replace the gate $600 but never did. So, when the the job was done, the pool company told me that they would not honor my warranty with the expansion joint, which I SPECIFICALLY told them in the beginning. Alex tried and tried to convince me I didn't need it, I wasn't going to like the way it looked and even said they never do expansion joints.... I pointed out to him that his company did it for my family in Eagle Rock. When it was time for them to leave they left patio furniture, my refrigerator, the patio rug etc in the pool.. I had to tell him to get that stuff out. Then I could mirrors on my roof.... I had to AGAIN call him to get the mirrors off the roof. I don't know if this was his first job but it was full of carelessness and lack of consideration for the property. Please beware of this company. Not even sure if Alex is licensed but I plan to pursue this matter legally especially since they haven't reimbursed me for anything that they damaged. read more

Sharing my experience with getting pavers installed by the Crown Pavers team. Overall, I"m very happy with the results as you can see in my before and after pics. Manny, Andrew, and the crew did a phenomenal job with my backyard makeover. I highly recommend these guys if you're in the process of planning to do pavers and looking for quality results with a mid-range price tag. Schedule wise, it started slow with the demo, but ramped up once that phase was done. In total, be prepared for dust and stacks of materials for approx. 3-3.5 weeks (based on the size we did) obviously would be less if you're only doing a driveway. Manny knows his business, he was the quickest to show up and provide measurements/estimate and kept in contact with me throughout the project. We had roughly 2200 sq ft to install and used two different style pavers (one for the basketball court and one for our lounging area. We also replaced the retaining wall with stone bricks, added a raised gas fire pit, added gas and electrical for a built in bbq island, added multiple drains that exited down the backyard slope, and paved both walkways along the side access of the house to the back. And for final details, we added low voltage LED along the walls, step up to fire pit, and walkways. read more

We replaced and walkway and installed pavers over our concrete porch. The bullnose rounded edges and light look very nice. Honestly we would give them 4.5 stars. The experience was not perfect, but projects never are. Manny was so laid back with quoting the job it seemed as if this was a family friend from years ago. After receiving the quotes and deciding Crown Pavers was our guys, Manny Jr. had everything run exactly the way he said it would, "ZERO Hiccups". On Day 1, Manny showed up early 25 minutes and went over everything with me one more time to make sure we were on the same page. Much to my surprise the job was going to be done even better than I originally thought. Manny showed me how this job should be done without one shortcut and at not one penny more. On Day 2 Manny was called off to steer the ship on an Emergency job, At that point in comes Danny, Manny Sr younger son. Pro: The bricks are pretty.... but I picked them from Pacific Clay, they had nothing to do with that. And that's it. Con: Let me list all the things they screwed up. First the pattern that was clearly on the blueprints was wrong. He damaged my house and then tried to hide it. Stole my tools. Total project cost 20k, but it's going to cost over 18k to fix his work. When the homeowner says "Don't", they will do it anyway. Owners were advised of all the issues with their workmanship yet have never tired to fix one-single-issue. It was all just a lot of talk. We worked with Daniel who offered some great ideas regarding which pavers to choose. He suggested a darker gray border to the Antique Cobble, and it really made the driveway and pathways pop. He was very easy to work with. Our project was challenging since we had to replace some plumbing and electrical between the old concrete removal and placing of pavers, but we were able to coordinate everything and they finished before their estimated completion time. The jackhammering did cause a small crack in our porch concrete, but they repaired that and made sure that everything was just the way we wanted. The price Daniel gave was comparable to another company, but we were happy to support a local, family-owned business. Our neighbors are jealous of our beautiful paving stone driveway. read more

His price was competitive with others and in the end while it was not the lowest price (NOTE: he rightfully pointed out that another vendor did not clearly specify the same product we had selected), Crown had earned my business for their responsiveness, Manny's personable and professional interactions with me as we decided on the pavers, as well as in part...their other great yelp reviews, and finally their price/flexibility to stay competitive. All of that decision-making was BEFORE the project started. I had an arborist come out who said you need to stay a certain distance from the trunk to safely do that and thus the area should not be paved. This is the best experience I've had with a contractor in my life time I have a really horrible neighbor, this project is about total of 5000 sqf which involved about 100sqf of neighbors land using as a entrance base on Easements, after every thing was agreed with the neighbor we started to demo all 5000sqf of old concrete, when the demo was done suddenly the neighbor told me that he changed his mind and will not allow us to build anything at all on his land, i will have to drive over dirt and loose gravel to get to my land, I was under so much pressure. Now, this really have nothing to do with Crown Paver, all they have to do is complete the 4900sqf of paver on my land and worst case for Crown paver is not to collect the money for the 100sqt of paver which neighbor won't allow us to build, but they did not leave me along, Manuel and Manny start to try to make friend with the neighbor who is always being very mean to them and the worker, having coffee with him in the morning, talk about things that he is interested in, on the other hand he would talk to their lawyer friends, engineers, architecture about my situations to find out my rights, this was going on for about 10 days, long story short, they end up got my 87yrs old neighbor to agreed to build on the land, I can't not believe how far they went to take care of me. We hired Manny Jr. last summer/fall to prepare and replace with pavers a very large area on our side backyard as well as demolish a concrete, very long, driveway and replace with pavers. Huge job in our minds. We consulted with several company's before choosing Crown, and it wasn't because their bid came in less than everyone else, be aide it didn't. It came down to their professionalism and customer service and promise to stay on schedule, and they did not disappoint. Manny Jr., and his crew, were outstanding! We live in Ventura county and the entire crew commuted from Alabama every single day (except weekends). They arrived every day on time, first thing in the morning, and worked often until 6 o'clock in the evening. Manny Jr., was on site most everyday to coordinate the work for the day, arriving himself at 7:00-7:30 a. The crew worked every day until the job was complete and cleaned the job site every night before leaving. A few times when we asked for changes and additions not discussed in the proposal, they were very accommodating and we were never made to feel bad. They even tore down the BBQ they started building because we decided a slightly different design would look better. As well they broke down the square edge of three-tiered steps they had built the previous day for bullnose style. They also built a mailbox with the same paver scheme and lights and inserted a Claddagh symbol on a bronze plaque we purchased on a trip to Ireland. We just can't say enough wonderful things about this company. They ( the company and crew) are super friendly, immensely patient, and very kind and good people.
