This company did exactly what was promised by providing a thorough diminished value inspection, report, and explanation of the process. Mike was very easy to work with and his staff was pleasant with making my appointment and keeping me informed. I would definitely recommend this company to others and/or use them again. I chose Reed Appraisers based on the reviews, and I must say: trust every 5-star review here - Mike at Reed Appraisers is the best around! I contacted him after getting into my first accident - which was not my fault - about inspecting my car and evaluating the diminished value. From our first call he was professional, knowledgeable, and patient, making sure I was well informed of the process and potential outcomes. In fact, he encouraged me to hold off on scheduling an inspection and appraisal until after I received my initial offer from the insurance company (GEICO) in the event they met me with a fair price. Unfortunately, they came in lower than anticipated, so Mike and I quickly arranged for an inspection and appraisal. The inspection was quick and easy, and the report we received (over 40 pages in length) was incredibly thorough and well-articulated. I submitted the report to GEICO requesting the full amount Mike appraised the diminished value for. Unfortunately for me, there was a bit of back-and-forth with GEICO not wanting to pay the full amount requested, and I ultimately prepared to sue in small claims court. However, when push really came to shove, Mike's report won out and GEICO agreed to settle for the entire diminished value requested. While the process with the insurance company was frustrating (as one would imagine), Mike was honest, transparent, and willing to testify if the claim went to court. If not for his services, I could have lost out on an additional $1,200 from the initial offer received from GEICO. Thank you, Mike! read more

I was in an accident where my truck was totaled. My insurance company offered me half the value of the truck; I had done my homework and saw all the comps. Per a clause in my insurance policy, I was able to hire an appraisal company to dispute the offer made to me by my insurance company. Mike and all the folks at Reed were able to get me an extra $10,000 for the truck in two weeks' time! He was responsive, thorough, and did an amazing job. Don't blindly accept what the insurance companies offer -- I can't recommend Reed Appraisers enough! read more

I was referred to Reed Auto Appraisers by EuroPros Collision Center. I had never heard of diminished value claim which allows you to recover the loss in your car's appraisal value after an accident that wasn't your fault. I used the "Free Claim Review" option on Reed Appraiser's website. I was contacted and advised on my options with the insurance companies. The insurance company tried to low ball me and Reed appraisers coached me to get the full value of the claim. All of this was at no cost to me through the "Free Claim Review". I appreciate their honesty and coaching which is needed with insurance companies. I recommend Reed Auto Appraisers & Diminished Value Experts. read more

I am so impressed with this company, especially with Mike. He was very professional and knowledgeable in his job. I explained my situation to Mike and he provided me with good sound advice on what I should do. He was very fair, understanding and really worked hard to ensure I was given the true and fair value for my vehicle (2013 BMW X6) unlike my own insurance company that was lowballing the true value of my vehicle. I would highly recommend this company to the entire universe because it's very difficult in this day and age to find honest and reputable companies that really work hard for their customer!!! Kudos to the entire Reed Appraiser team who went above and beyond the call of duty!! You all rock! And I am forever grateful and thankful for your service!!! Signed, A very satisfied customer! I was referred to this company in 2019, and due to various life events and cleaning my email box I'm just now getting around to writing a review. First off, Mike is great! He's professional took the time to explain all the details to me. When my attorney suggested I get my car evaluated, I was completely lost and did not understand DV assessment or some of the things even the repair company could overlooked. Mike was spot on gave me a thorough evaluation the proper paperwork explained the process to me (priceless!) and everything I needed know. I hope to never be in a car accident again but if I am you better believe I would use this company over any other in the DMV area. read more

Mike was informative, efficient and most importantly, honest. He easily could've benefited from my diminished value situation, but explained the potential outcomes which resulted in him truly looking out in my best interest. read more

TOP NOTCH - Unfortunately, I have been through 2 total loss claims in the past few months. On the first one, I went alone and was able to get pretty close to what I needed but it was painful. So, the 2nd time I had received Mike's info from a body shop and immediately reached out when my insurance company gave me a low ball loss offer. Mike and I had one phone call, I provided him all the information he requested and he completed the work on time. Once my insurance company received the appraisal, the process was quick and easy. Mike negotiated a more than fair settlement offer. Amy was very responsive and the process was super simple. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Reed Appraisers to anybody. Now, I need to think about getting a new insurance company!! Thanks Mike and Amy!! read more

Don't bother looking anywhere else, this company is great. My car got totaled from a rear end collision and I was getting nowhere with my insurance company on its valuation. Mike took the job and was very up front about what we'd be facing w insurance. He went to bat for me, and even had to negotiate with the insurance company's internal appraiser. In the end, he got me thousands more than I would have without him. The company is small enough to give you personalized service but big enough to go toe to toe w all the big insurance companies. To top it off, Mike always come across as very honest and down earth. I can't say enough about their service, I'd use them again in an instant. read more

I am an attorney and I have always referred my auto collision clients to Reed Appraisers due to all the great reviews I have heard in the legal community. It just so happened that I used Reed a year ago to value my own vehicle, which was damaged by an auto dealership while repair work was being done. Mike took great care of me and made sure that I had a complete, convincing diminished value report, which I was able to successfully use as a sword against the anemic, unsubstantiated, deceptive report done by the defense insurance company. Due to Mike, the settlement value of my diminished value claim was greatly increased. He was also there to answer any questions that I had and to defend his report. Due to this wonderful personal experience, I understand why people seek out his services. Keep up the good work, Mike! read more

Excellent services. Clarified a process I had no prior experience engaging with. Walked through each step and possible outcomes, along with producing a thorough diminished value claim that the insurance company accepted. Received payment and had no issues. Was very communicative and staff answered questions promptly and accurately. Hopefully I don't have to use this service again, but if I do I will come back to Reed Auto Appraisers. read more

Great job, Mike. I used Reed Appraisers after my wife had an accident to obtain and use towards a deminishment of value claim. The company was thorough, provided a detailed report, and was easy to work with. Definitely recommend using Reed Appraisers if you are involved in an accident where you were not the at fault party. read more

Reed Appraisers was recommended by a member of our Corvette club, and Michael did a great job for me. After my parked 2017 Corvette was crashed into in a parking lot, their insurance company did pay for the repair. (The crash was recorded by my dash cam.) However, I needed an independent appraisal to file a diminished value claim. Michael minutely examined the car's exterior and pointed out his observations to me. He later sent a detailed 33-page report providing an analysis with supporting details of the before-crash and after-crash values. When I sent this to the insurer, they replied with a six-page report of their own that claimed the diminished value was far less. I forwarded it to Michael, who pointed out in detail how their evaluation did not meet industry standards. When I sent this to the insurer, they didn't respond until I threatened to involve the state insurance commission. Given the solid documentation Michael had provided, they sent a check for the full amount of his appraisal. The extra effort was well worth his reasonable fee. I highly recommend Michael for any evaluation involving automobile condition. read more

I used Reed Appraisers for my diminished value report when I was rear ended back in September of 2016. At the time of my accident, my car was only 4 months old and had approximately 2000 miles on the odometer (2016 Honda Accord Touring). After the car was repaired, I met with Mike for over an hour while he inspected my car in November. I received my diminished value report which I then submitted to Geico in late December. The Geico adjuster low-balled me on three separate occasions. Mike was easy to contact and gave me great advice regarding the diminished value process. He advised that Geico's last offer was still below market and so I filed a complaint and took Geico to small claims court. Geico decided to not settle prior to the court date so during the trial I submitted my diminished value report to the judge and was awarded the full amount of the diminished value since Geico had no other competing diminished value report. If you are seeking a diminished value report, don't hesitate to contact Mike at Reed Appraisers. Mike is thorough, professional and knowledgeable about the process. read more

When I needed to file a claim against my insurance company's assessment of the damage to my luxury car, there was no way I was going to trust any service outside of Reed Appraisers. They are top notch and gave me a thorough review (in layman's terms) that was also professional and at the highest level of accuracy - so much so that my insurance company revised its assessment and offered more for damages. I trust Reed Appraisers and you should too! For their professionalism, their high-status in the field of assessments (this equals respect), and their respect to each client and car that strolls (or is towed) onto the lot. read more

I had Reed Appraisers do a diminishment of value appraisal after my vehicle was half destroyed in an accident and the insurance company insisted on fixing it. Michael did a very thorough inspection of the car and found some minor repair issues that I hadn't spotted. He gave me a very detailed report. Unfortunately the insurance company insisted on using the 17c formula, which is based on nothing and puts a very low monetary number on the diminishment of value. The diminishment of value appraisal gave me a good bargaining tool and I was able to negotiate a higher amount of money from the insurance company than I would have gotten without it. The insurance company also reimbursed me for the fee that I paid for the appraisal. Overall I'm very satisfied with the service. read more

I highly recommend Reed Appraisers. Mike did a Diminished Value Appraisal on my repaired 2019 Subaru which had been t-boned. The Appraisal was comprehensive and professionally presented. Additionally, the guidance that Mike gave me for dealing with the other driver's insurance company was excellent, and after some expected negotiation, they accepted the Appraisal and paid me the full amount. read more

Michael was helping me with Diminished Value claim. Really liked how he works. Very high level of professionalism and he absolutely doesn't mind answering lots of extra questions and share his experience with insurance companies/claims/etc. He was genuinely trying to help me and I really appreciate that. 5 Stars. They saved me from the greed and selfishness of my very own car insurance company (Progressive), who I'll be leaving very soon. I worked with Mike and Amy from Reed Appraisers. They were extremely professional. They were very up-front about the whole process, how long it would take, what to expect from the car insurance company (which was spot-on), prepared an extremely detailed report, and Mike even spent a few minutes on the phone with my insurance company to help explain the methodology of the report and why the car insurance was inexperienced and extremely incorrect in their counter valuation/appraisal. My 2013 BMW suffered a $25,000 repair at the hands of a drunk driver who struck it while PARKED. My own car insurance tried to screw me over in the process and the body shop took 3x longer than they said they would in fixing the car. Reed Appraisers was the silver lining in this entire experience. I know who to use the next time something like this happens. I settled the Diminished Value claim with my car insurance, and thankfully didn't get taken advantage of like most car owners do. Mike's report and expertise was key in me becoming (mostly) financially whole after this extremely stressful situation. 5+ Stars. Great experience. read more

I used Reed Appraisers to get a report so I could file a diminished value claim after I was rear ended. Mike is very thorough and after taking a look at my repair bill, made a suggestion that I bring the car in for an in person inspection as that would fit my needs and specific circumstances. The report was very in depth and the at fault insurance paid out the entire suggested amount with no haggling. I'm very pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend this company to anyone going through the DV process. read more

I used Reed Appraisers for my diminished value report when my parked car was hit back in April of 2017. I contacted Mike and followed his advice. He looked at my car, wrote the report and explained what the next steps should be after that. He is a true professional. By following his advice, I got exactly what Mike thought the value of the claim should be. I Highly recommend Mike. read more

To be honest, I had never heard of the term "diminished value" until a friend of mine introduced me to Mike at Reed Appraisers. Mike's knowledge and the information he provided me throughout the process was invaluable. That introduction was lucky for me too, because during his thorough inspection, post-repair, of my vehicle he found serious issues with the repairs that were completed. I would have never known about the substandard repairs, until the car started to rust out from underneath me. Because of his findings, the repair shop not only corrected the poor repairs, but refunded my insurance deductible. In addition, having such a well-documented inspection and appraisal of my car, resulted in my getting the true diminished value from my insurance company - not the pittance they first offered. The insurance company even covered the cost of the diminished value report. This accident truly ended up costing me nothing, all thanks to Reed Appraisers. If I ever have the unpleasant experience of another accident, you can be sure I will be contacting Reed Appraisers again. Thank you, Mike! read more

I used this company for a diminished value claim on my vehicle and they were extremely helpful. They are very friendly, down to earth, professional, and honest.
