I was lucky enough to find Orion's Attic on ChaGPT. Chris went above and beyond my expectations. An elderly relative of mine with health issues lives alone and when I went to visit, I was devastated to see how cluttered and disorganized his home was. No one should live like that. Chris and his crew stepped in and cleared out all rooms, taking many items for donation and other items to be trashed. They cleared out his kitchen which had so many canned/boxed food items that were expired. Chris even moved items so they weren't a tripping hazard, he pointed out fire hazards too. He did all of this with compassion and understanding, even recommending a company to help with ongoing cleaning/care to avoid my relative's place returning to its unlivable state. He even provided tax documents for donated items. I live out of state and couldn't be there, and Chris communicated with me throughout the process, sending me videos as he progressed. My Mother and I downsized from a 4 bedroom house with 40 years of stuff, to a 3 bedroom apartment just last week. Chris and his team made that happen 100%. Our realtor wanted us to paint the inside of the house and leave a few things to "stage." I never liked that idea, and it wasn't until I found Chris that he was able to help convince my Mom that didn't make sense for us. He insisted that the first thing we needed to do was to find a new place to live. Unfortunately the painter had already started on our full house. Anyway, we stayed in a hotel for a few days while we looked for places and to stay out of the painter's way. Long story shorter, we found a place, Chris came to look things over, gave us a proposal, and executed perfectly. We ended up having a lot more stuff than any of us thought was possible. Chris informed us that it was probably going to be another $2k, which we immediately approved. On the first day of the move, they showed up on time, cleared our house of all the stuff we wanted to keep (orange tape = keep), showed up to our new apartment on time, and only took 3 hours to empty the trucks. It was incredible to watch these guys move! They were all super nice and extremely polite. F...ing Rockstars! Everyone of them. Getting the rest of the house emptied took the rest of that day and the entire next day, but like I said, we had way more stuff than anyone expected (including Chris.) I was expecting a $12k bill, but Chris didn't even charge us the extra $2k he warned us about. Top notch service all-around! We would have paid $15k if needed as my Mom and I just couldn't have done it. But Chris stuck to his proposal even though we agreed to pay more. Truly professional! I couldn't possibly recommend these guys anymore than I am trying to. Thank you Chris and friends, and you will be my first recommendation for anyone moving. We contacted Orion's Attic about an estate sale and they explained that estate sales are not worth it, and quoted us a relatively high price for clearing out the house (over $5k). Over the phone, they said most of the time we really would not get much for the items in the house. When we said we wanted a second opinion, they said other companies would be all talk and no results. We did get a second opinion and I am SO glad we did. Using the other company, we received just about $20k AFTER paying commissions and labor for clearing the estate. The moral of the story is that Orion's Attic is only a good option if a house is full of trash and worthless knickknacks. Don't fall for the "you won't get anything" line, if there is nice stuff. Get multiple quotes and opinions! read more

Highly recommend Orion's Attic. Kind, compassionate and extremely easy to work with. We called Chris on a Thursday explaining our need for a house clean out. He came out that same day to take a look and give us an estimate and we were on his schedule the following Thursday. Randy and his crew showed up promptly and well prepared. They worked systemically and respectfully and had the two story home with full basement, garage, attic and shed completely cleared out in 8 hours. Chris's price was fair and even came in a little lower than quoted since they were able to donate a lot as opposed to sending things to a landfill. Conscientious, compassionate, fair, professional. I cannot speak highly enough about Orion's Attic. I had done my homework, gone to downsizing seminars and lectures, had in home visits from others, and settled on them. It took me an 80 year old, time to get myself together, and my 4000 sq ft house full of 45 years worth of my husband's never throw anything away stuff, but when I was ready, Chris scheduled quickly, showed up punctually, and with his crew, filled two huge moving trucks to the top with my stuff and disposed of it within a long day, broom swept my garage, attic and full basement. They were very careful in the house, taking care to not damage anything. The feeling of being free from "the stuff" is so wonderful. Throughout, Chris kept me informed and involved so that the things I wanted to save, were safe. I highly recommend this company. read more

Chris and his team removed everything left in my mother's house this week. My mom passed away last month and it was left to me and my siblings to get her house of 55 years ready to sell. With none of us living nearby, this task was even more challenging. I didn't realize there were companies like Orion's Attic that could help in our effort. I did an internet search and found just what I was looking for. After removing everything family wanted, Chris came on board to take care of everything else. His goal to auction, donate or recycle as much as possible was a big draw for us--leaving the landfill as a last resort. The team was efficient and finished in the time discussed. And the final walk through was great. It's not an inexpensive service but fair given the scope of the job. It actually came in under the quoted cost. Any payment for items auctioned will be returned to us, minus Orion's cut, explained fully at the beginning. I would do this again in a heartbeat. read more
