I tried this place before my Pilates class and it was easy to order on the app and make adjustments on there! It was easy to pick up since the pick up station is numbered. There's plenty of seating areas and charging parts so you can study and charge your devices. It's very well lit and not too loud music! I had their seasonal brown sugar hochija and it was so good and the cream top was creamy. The drink itself is not too sweet despite not adjusting the level. Will love to try their pastries soon!!

This has been one of my go-to coffee shops! The drinks are good and it's fun to see what seasonal drinks they have. My favorite drink from here would have to be the Banana Cream Mocha. Recently, I tried one of their seasonal drinks: the Very Strawberry Cream. There's strawberry foam on top with strawberry jam around the cup. I really loved the combination of all the flavors, but I would ask for less of the jam next time. Parking is super easy to find, there is a bathroom, reliable wifi. I love interacting with the staff. They're all really nice. I saw one of the baristas run out to their car once and then came back to give their pokemon cards to one of the kiddos in the cafe. It was such a sweet interaction to see. The cafe itself is also really cute! A few tables to work or catch up with a friend. Highly recommend!
Service was really good. I don't drink a lot of coffee but they were nice and took their time. Clean. Always important.
Coffee shop was good. The temperature of the hot coffee was warm, would have liked it hotter. The staff were polite. The ambience was clean and contemporary. The prices were on the higher side. I was hoping the experience would be a little more luxe than it was. Everything was good, was looking for something special.
Wanted to try a coffee shop in the area that wasn't a chain, and I was delighted to stumble upon Redshift. They're located right off of a major freeway, so in terms of location, I thought it was convenient! Parking was easy and no issues, even in a weekend! Woohoo! Didn't want anything too sweet, so the barista recommended the Oat Vanilla Latte. I will say that I was surprised and disappointed when I asked for my drink to be extra hot, and the staff worker said they were unable to do that. Unfortunately, that was enough for me to be turned off, cause sure enough, as soon as I got my drink, it was hot, but not as hot as I would like my hot drink especially on a cold day. And for the cost, not sure I would come back. It's definitely cute inside, and a great place to meet up with friends or for a day date, but other than that, not sure I'd pay that much for a not so hot drink. Next time, I'll try an iced one!
So glad to have this coffee shop within walking distance to my home. I have always just ordered cappuccino everywhere I go and I'm so glad that this place makes it so good. I really like that I can taste the coffee bean, and that is not over roasted or bitter . Oh and the apple turnover is delicious -- highly recommend.
Customer service was average. Place has limited seating and most tables were taken. Not too loud, but definitely a baby making some unusually peculiar noises (probably should get that checked out.) Decaf oat latte with house made caramel. Wife said it was above average. Oat Vanilla latte was good (those are vanilla bean, not black pepper like my son says?!) I like their roast. I would say with all the great coffee places nearby, that I wouldn't revisit this place. But it was good nonetheless.
Redshift Coffee Roasters is a nice place to pick up a cup of bougie-priced coffee. When I'm paying $6 for a latte, I would like to taste the unique notes of the bean. This is just my preference, though, as not everyone is looking to taste flavored notes in their coffee. Don't get me wrong, the latte was not bad, it was just a basic latte where I could hardly taste the coffee. I also didn't like how they don't list out what is in their specialty coffees such as their Bumble Coffee and RAF. I was pretty disappointed to find out what they are as it is just flavorings added to the espresso. Again, not my preference to flavor up my lattes that compete with the lackluster coffee taste. I do see the appeal of this place being that it's the only "fancy" coffee shop around, so if you're looking for a bougie coffee place while trying to escape the over populated Starbucks. This place is for you.
I have been meaning to try this place for a while and I finally did. The coffee shop has ample amounts of seating inside, and they also have a decent amount of outdoor seating. I love that they offer coffee flights which is always fun to sit around and try. I order a strawberry coffee off the summer menu and it was amazing. So good that I went back 2 days later for another one; the employees were also very kind during mobile pick up.
Flat white was good! Nice location to work at as well. Clean and friendly staff. Easy parking which is a plus. Will be back to work at when it's not busy.

Oh this cafe is sooo lovely. New favorite! There's such a nice and gentle feel to this place. My friend and I came here on a rainy Sunday morning and it was so cozy inside :) The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. I especially loved their raspberry croissant, which was sweet and filled with a yummy raspberry jam. I've never had anything like it, so interesting! My friend ordered the coffee flight and I had a hot matcha latte. We loved the variety in the coffee flight and the matcha was very smooth and tasty. This cafe is very clean and their menu items are beautifully presented. It's clear that a lot of love goes into everything. I'm excited to come back!

Pleasant atmosphere and connected with the minimalist design of the shop. Has potential to be a good spot to work. They offer drinking/eating in the shop (a + if you are big on sustainability). Free WiFi advertised on all the tables with the password. Ordered the following: Coconut matcha drink - coconut water and matcha; hand mixed , with coconut shavings on top; recommend mixing it as best you can to get the matcha flavor. Salmon bagel - balsamic, greens, sesame seeds, and fried garlic toppings; good and basic (much like the store design) They offer a rewards program that is promoted when you pay. read more
Stopped by for a coffee and breakfast after dropping my car off for tire service. Upon entering Redshift, the inside was very bright and clean. There was a good amount of seating and there was also WiFi. I ordered a latte with oat milk and a smoked salmon bagel. The latte was rich and delicious. The smoked salmon bagel had a generous amount of ingredients and the addition of a bit of balsamic vinegar reduction gave it the right amount of acid to balance the richness of the salmon and cream cheese. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Eza and Denis. They told me that they used to own a coffee shop back in their home area and decided to open a coffee shop here. Denis shared with me that he roasts his own beans and I could see the passion he had for his craft. Overall, a great coffee shop find and I will be back next time I am in the area. read more
This little coffee shop is in an unsuspecting parking lot, but the drinks are so unique! The shop is fresh, clean, and new. It looks very cool inside. The baristas are so nice, and they even came to chat with us after we enjoyed our drinks to make sure we liked them and see what we liked about them. Today was my first visit to Redshift and it: 1. Won't be my last. 2. Was delicious. 3. Was cute inside. 4. Had friendly and helpful staff. I wasn't sure what to order, because I didn't want to be my usual boring iced coffee person, so the barista (may have been the owner?) offered a suggestion to get the RAF Coffee with vanilla and I'm glad I took it! I usually go for unsweetened and iced coffee drinks, so this hot and sweetened drink wasn't my norm, but whatever, because it was so good!! It wasn't too sweet, it was super creamy on top, and it tasted like there's some real vanilla beans in there! No weird powders, no artificial after taste, just real ingredients. I know there is a big-box coffee business nearby and their drive-thru is convenient, for sure, BUT that place and its CEOs have enough money already and their coffee drinks are wack as h3II. Do yourself a favor and take an extra 5 mins this morning to go get your coffee at Redshift instead. Non-dairy milks available. Parking was easy and fast at 7:30AM on a Tuesday. Space available inside to sit and work quietly; no annoying "coffee house" music playing, thankfully. read more

The barista welcomed me and was explaining what was in the Raf coffee, but I interrupted halfway because it sounded good. The two espresso shots were pulled perfectly and complemented with creamy foam. From the first sip to the last, I was wanting more. i love this place! it's truly a hidden gem. the coffee is consistently good and i really enjoy their variety of seasonal drinks / syrups they do. i also appreciate how the syrups are house made and not any of the store bought torani syrup crap. the service and staff here are always friendly and efficient! i've also had great interactions here w the people just hanging out studying. the atmosphere is perfect to study, relax, etc. read more

One of the best coffee shops in the area! Coming from a barista they have some of the best roast on their beans that creates a smooth finish with every sip. I love that the owners are always in showing their expertise with customers. The passion they have for coffee is in each cup. This hidden gem is usually not that busy.. for now. Came in to try the raspberry RAF coffee. The creamy texture of this coffee was so smooth. It was like drinking a creamy ice cream with a subtle taste of coffee and raspberry. A nice and welcomed alternative to my choices for specialty coffee. And the barista was super friendly in explaining their menu. read more

Staff were super nice and on top of the orders! I've been here before but haven't written a review. Their avocado toast is really good. From my memory, their matcha was also decent. Their matcha flight was enjoyable despite only having one matcha drink. I remember trying their seasonal peppermint matcha, which was delicious. I was studying here for a bit, and the atmosphere is very nice and quiet. read more

Genuinely unique coffee shop in lake forest. Their entire menu gives you plenty of options that aren't found anywhere else. The staff were really helpful and went over the menu with me. Such a cute little coffee shop! When you walk in you notice how clean and relaxing it is. The employees were so nice, friendly and helpful. I ordered a hot campfire latte at the baristas recommendation, presentation was beautiful, it came with a marshmallow on a skewer just like you would have at a campfire. What I loved most though is that the drink was not overly sweet or heavy with syrups. It's the perfect sweetness while still being able to enjoy the notes of the espresso. This was my first time visiting but I will absolutely be back! read more

I really enjoyed my experience here! It hits a lot of the coffee shop needs for someone looking for a place to do work. Parking is easy to find (private lot), there was a lot of comfortable seating with outlets, it was clean, drinks are good/decently priced, service was quick and friendly, and wifi was decent. Consistent, clean and convenient specialty coffee shop newly open in Lake Forest. I started going to this coffee shop every weekend due to its convenient location and now it has become the favorite part of my weekend. Here are what I observed over the last six months of coming here both days of the weekend. - Excellent coffee with consistency. This means two things to me: first, they are on top of their roasting game (they roast their own) thus the consistent taste. Second, the baristas are equally skilled to keep the coffee taste consistent. Btw some of them have incredible latte art skills as shown in the pics. I think I've had four different baristas make my drink and they always taste consistent. For me this is the biggest win because I don't like to step into a coffee shop hoping for the "good" barista to be there. Also, this is a specialty coffee shop and follows the classic standards of it. I.e. if you were to grab a flat white or a cappuccino it would be the proper 8oz, not starbucks style. - Spot clean. The barista bar is always kept spot clean and so are the seating areas & the bathroom. In fact, the few times I stayed for my drink, I always saw the baristas cleaning. - Quick service. They are prompt and quick at making my drinks so it is always easy to grab and go for me. They actually launched a mobile app and I believe it would save your time even more. + Quiet. This one is a bit of a double edged sword. I would obviously appreciate the quiet ambience if I am working there,which I have a couple times and was great. However, if you are catching up with a couple friends here you might wish the background music was a bit louder. Or just be prepared to feel like you're talking real loud. So that one it would be up to what you are visiting for. I've seen some people complain about the prices on this page but I don't know what to say in today's world. I agree that the prices are not cheap but also feel like that is the case everywhere now. So I don't have an issue spending the same money on really good coffee. I also think that when these guys step up with the pastries game this place is gonna blow up so much more. They already have pastries and the food menu is decent too but the pastries do not serve the level of their coffee which is top notch. But all these things are secondary to what makes me love a coffee shop and this place is still very new and has so much room for growth. Summary: it seems like these guys know how to run the business smart and are on top of their coffee knowledge for sure. I recommend this place 10/10. read more

Great new coffee shop! Honestly, they know what they're doing. Coffee is great and they even sell beans that we've been trying at home and they are great for drip or pour over! Check out their app for deals or ordering ahead. It's a really well designed app and was pleasantly surprised with how easy ordering on it was! Every time we go in, the staff have been very helpful and kind. You can ask them lots of questions and they're ready to help with picking an order or helping you understand the beans. read more

One of the best coffee spots around , I use to go to Kona but has good days and bad also one of the popular spots around . But after finding Redshift it's my go to spot! Kind service , every cup stays consistent and delicious , not only does it look cool with the design but taste so good too . I always want another after I finish one . A nice spankin new coffee shop with some really nice and unique drinks. It's clean, trendy, and has a nice little seating area inside. They do have some must try specialty drinks like the raspberry cold brew and the bumble bee. Both of which I got to try out. The raspberry has a nice thick foam with dehydrated raspberries garnished. The cold brew below it adds a light flavor and texture to it when stirred together. I really enjoyed the bumble bee as it was a mixture of caramel, orange juice and coffee. It's almost the perfect breakfast drink with all three items. It was refreshing and I personally enjoyed this better than the raspberry cold brew. For my personal preference I'd rather have cold espresso with the raspberry float but that may not be everyone's cup of coffee. The service was good too and definitely a place worth trying here in the City of Lake Forest. read more

I've had the coffee here before and it's usually pretty good (which is why I came back), but I decided to try their seasonal Mango Pink Matcha today. There's nothing "matcha" about it so the name is very misleading. When I asked the cashier what was inside the drink, she told me it was dragonfruit powder with house-made mango syrup but I perceived that there was matcha, BUT the dragonfruit powder is what made it pink. I never heard her say "there's no green tea or caffeine", and neither did my friend that was with me. I decided to give it a try because it sounded intriguing, but upon receiving it, I realized there was no matcha whatsoever so I really don't think it should be classified as a matcha. It's really just flavored milk. :/ When I asked if I could add a shot of espresso to my drink, she told me they can't modify seasonal drinks (I was willing to just order a shot and pour it in myself), so I just decided to leave since she didn't really offer any other options. $7 for dragonfruit powder, milk and mango syrup is quite expensive for what it is. I should've just ordered coffee lol. I didn't have the heart to throw away my drink in front of her, but I was very dissatisfied and disappointed. :( My friend enjoyed her Raspberry Butterfly Iced Tea though, and said it was very refreshing. -------- In response to the co-owner's reply to my original review, I actually LOVE supporting small businesses and will always choose to spend my money at them versus chains, but I do believe in providing honest and constructive criticism when appropriate. As I mentioned in my review, I have been here before and I enjoy the coffee, but today's encounter was not that pleasant, hence the 3 star review, which by Yelp's standards is "OK" - an honest rating for my experience. In all honesty, today's experience was more of a 2 star rating, but I was factoring in the other times I've been here, which is why I gave an extra star. I don't feel like the guilt tripping, defensive and passive aggressive response was necessary, especially when I mentioned positive things in my review as well. The coffee and the pastries were amazing and delicious. The vanilla latte had a smooth full-bodied taste without being overly complex. The bumble coffee was refreshing and wonderful (a Must Try). The service was fast and staff were helpful in providing explanation and suggestion. Ambiance is cozy and casual with ample seatings. I can't wait to try other coffee and pastry next time. My first impression of Redshift was friendly service! We got a variety of things!! We got a coffee flight, cappuccino, Espresso Tonic and Avocado Toast! When the espresso tonic was ready the barista explained the best way to drink it! Which was nice because it was the first time we got one! Everything was good! We sat inside for a good while! The interior was clean and I loved the color scheme! Plenty of seating inside! read more
