    Mimosa!
    Jessica O.

My husband and I visited Reds for Sunday brunch today. We hadn't eaten here in at least 5 years, and the last time we were underwhelmed. I had seen an email that they revamped their menu and added Sunday brunch, so we figured we'd try it out. It absolutely exceeded our expectations! It wasn't busy when we arrived, but a few more tables filtered in before we left. I don't think the word has gotten out about brunch yet. We were seated right away, and our server was with us promptly. We ordered coffees to start, then each had a traditional mimosa with our food. My husband had the steak and eggs, I had the prosciutto benny. Both dishes were great! We were surprised to see the portion sizes for the price. Of all the brunch spots in town, this one feels like a good value. My eggs benny was wonderful! The biscuits were huge, the eggs were perfectly poached, and the prosciutto added a great bit of salt. The asparagus and granny smith apples were an unexpected combo that paired really nicely together. I could have used a little more prosciutto, but that's my only critique. The potatoes on the side were also great! I loved how crispy they were on the outside, but weren't overcooked. My husband really enjoyed his steak and eggs as well! He added some hot sauce to his eggs and said that made it even better. It was a really good experience, and not only will we be telling everyone about it, but we'll definitely be back! I'm also looking forward to trying some other items on the menu, as well as returning to try the dinner menu!

Food is always delicious I had the January Steak Special...$20 for a 12 oz, loaded mashed potatoes and green beans. The ambiance is very nice also. Our waitress was darling.

Reds is a great go to place, even if you are not a golfer. They frequently change up their menu. I tired the steak and potato special. It was good, but they struggled a bit getting medium rare which I have heard is common. I think I'll just not get steak in the future. My husband loves the Grumpy Club, consistently good. This is silly, but I do wish they would modify the women's bathrooms to not have lids on the toilets. It just always feels a bit gross to have to lift to flush as I am a shoe flusher.

Duck was good! Sauce was sweeter than I anticipated. But overall was very good meal! I didn't get a picture of the peanut butter pie- but that was delicious! Reminded me a little bit of cookie dough, with a crunchy chocolate cookie crust. The chef checked on us at the end of our meal. Great experience.

Pics are from our last two visits. Most recently we sat on the new huge patio. It is a great new addition! We had amazing food and service both visits. The Ahi tuna is a great appetizer and the chicken nachos were amazing. My husband said they were maybe the best he has ever had!! We will be back for sure!

Got to experience their customer service and their catering buffet while in the upstairs event space. My family had a funeral and gathered here for food and community afterwards. The food and service was amazing. The view from the space was incredible and everyone was talking about it. Bathrooms were the cleanest and it was also a locker room so there were showers as well as lockers. It was honestly one of the nicest spaces I've ever had an event held in. My husband is a picky eater, no vegetables for the most part, even said the food was great and loved the macaroni & cheese. I would highly recommend this place just based on this one experience because we couldn't have asked for a better place than this. The staff was helpful but also relaxed. My husband had like two bites on his plate but in an effort not to rush us, didn't even pick it up until he was heard discussing dessert. Definitely best place I've been in a long time.

Lofted above is a great looking outdoors complete with heat lamps and a mini A framed covered area that can be rented for parties. We were greeted warmly by friendly staff and given a kids menu, draft and spirits menu, regular menu and restaurant week menu. Menus galore! We went with the 3 course meal (many items can be ordered on the regular menu) for $25. I ordered the tomato paprika soup and my husband got the split pea soup. Of the two, the split pea soup was the clear winner. Two kinds of pork (cubed and shredded), well balanced seasoning and texture married well to enhance a soup I've loved since childhood. I could've easily eaten a bowl for my meal. The accompanying homemade Dutch Rye Bread, though I'm sure it's authentic, I didn't care for. It was dense, soft and had an off putting flavor. The second course we had was equally delicious. My hubby had the beef and pork sausage overtop a bed of mashed potatoes with kale, onions and bacon. I loved the addition of kale and the sausage was tasty. Everything was well seasoned. My beef slow cooked with apples and beer was delicious. I wish it had been served with more beef. It would have been nice to have some bigger chunks of meat to dive into. The mashed potatoes they came with were good, but the potatoes with kale were the star between the two dishes. The kid's meals were also good. The hamburger had a nice smokey flavor with a tasty side of fries. My daughter didn't care for her Mac 'n cheese, but that's because it was too refined for her palette. The Gouda cheese was complimented by the egg noodles. The third course was dessert. I tried the restaurant Flip custard: Dutch custard, fruit compote, and topped with a dollop of Greek Yogurt. It came with a cute spoon that gave the perfect portions and the flavors all complemented each other well. I would order this again and again. It was a great balance of tangy, fruity and sweet. My husband had the stroopwafle icecream. It was also good, and came with a cute mini stroopwafle. I washed all this down with their Bier Distillery Lager and tried a flavored banket spirit. This restaurant originally was just a beer and specialty liquor spot. I love that they now serve food, because that was the highlight of our evening. I wish this establishment was closer to our home, but perhaps will come back when the weather is nicer to enjoy the outdoor patio. Definitely come and check out this The Bier Distillery for yummy Dutch inspired food and drink! Worth the drive.

We split a burger with carmelized onions pickles and paprika mayo and had a garden salad with dill pickle vinaigrette They have so much to offer and it so unique.

My boyfriend and I stumbled in during happy hour and were happy to grab some cheap drinks, but the main event was the burger! We typically like sitting at the bar as well and chat with the bartender who was absolutely lovely! The dirty martini was okay but I will definitely order something else next time as the olives just didn't hit for me. It's a quaint and quiet spot - you can read that as intimate - since it's not loud or rowdy, so if you want a really sweet date spot, feel free to check this one out! Otherwise, you can just go and have a casual, delicious dinner. Parking is limited with the street parking and it being so close to Monroe Center but you shouldn't have a terrible time finding something, even if requires a parking ramp vs street parking. I'd just recommend a reservation if you are going on a weekend or don't want to wait/sit at the bar!

When we walked in the restaurant was bustling and packed, but we got seated right away by the door which was cool because we could people watch. Our server greeted us immediately and filled our glasses with water. She was nice and answered all of our questions. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with my brunch choices which were the soup of the day, a lentil curry, pumpkin seed combo with tons of good seasoning and cilantro on top...it was soooo good and vegan friendly! For my entree I got the tofu sandwich with the most amazing side salad that had this lemon dressing that set it off right! I could have just had a plate of the salad! Although the tofu sandwich was good, it was a bit on the salty side for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this place for vegan options and I'd come back. I was with a large group, so I got to sample a number of tapas, which were ordered for the table. I loved the Iberico Pork Belly, and the Wild Boar Empanadas. I thought the Croquetas and the Patatas Bravos were good, though there are other things I'd order in the future. I thought the Ceviche Mixta was ok, though I'm not usually a fan of ceviche, and this was better than most. My least favorite was the Pulpo a la Gallega. While the octopus was tender, it had an unpleasant fishy flavor. I got the Chuletas de Cordero for a main course, and was so happy with the dish. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I really liked the chickpea topping. My only quibble was the dried apple slices added nothing to the dish. They had an unpleasant chewy texture, little flavor, and didn't add to the aesthetics. I would order this again in a heartbeat. I ordered the Árbol de Frambuesa, and it was an amazing dessert. The chocolate souffle was thicker and creamier than I expected, but it was so delicious! I don't want to ruin the surpise of this dish by describing how it looked. I would also order this again.

Authentic Spanish cuisine with an American flair - every dish was spectacularly balanced. The croquetas were pillowy and crispy and rich. The oxtail stuffed morels were an explosion of decadent umami. The gambas (shrimp) were soaked in Spanish olive oil, confit garlic, and a metric ton of saffron (these were the star of the show in terms of both flavor and value). And the patatas bravas? Who doesn't love some thick cut fried potatoes. For the main dish, the scallops were DIVINE. Not joking, the best scallops I've ever had in my life - which was a relief considering they were $55 for THREE of them boys. Yes it's pricey, but frankly it's well worth it. The quality of service, food and environment that MDRD has articulately crafted is a special experience and should be treated as such. My ONLY gripe is the fact that they didn't have their Spanish Tortilla on the menu - that's like a burger chain not having French fries. Would highly recommend, especially if you've got a taste for Spanish food!
