For a person who absolutely HATES the dentist and all their associates, this was the lesser of the evils when it came to a root canal place. I wanted to make sure that they offer laughing gas because I am very nervous to do any procedures. I've had the unfortunate case of having two root canals in the last 5 years but Redmond Endodontics have been so incredibly professional, kind, and willing to help me asap. I was able to get an appointment in less than a week because I was in excruciating pain. The entire office and doctors are nothing but pleasures to work with. The worst part of going here is probably parking, which this clinic has nothing to do with. It can be difficult in the lot because people don't pay attention to the lines. Woops on them. read more

Just had root canal therapy followed with surgery by Dr. Kramp. The whole experience was only painful in the pocketbook lol. All those involved from the front desk, to the assistants, to Dr. Kramp himself were first rate, very professional and concerned with any discomfort I might feel (there was very little). As this was my first root canal I wanted to insure I got someone who would answer my questions and included me in any decision making. I couldn't be happier! Was referred here by my dentist. Did not have a pleasant experience. First, the office looks quite old and very drab. The secretary at front was nice enough. Get ushered in the back completing tons of paperwork and then get peppered with a prepared manifesto from the technician about X-rays, payments, prepayment up front, pressure to fill out the forms as she's talking because they are "very busy." She says they have to take special 3D X-rays and additional X-rays despite my insistence dentist sent over X-rays I had taken recently. I took the X-rays. Doctor finally comes in and takes a super fast look at a tooth that was bothering me and a fast glance at these magical X-rays and concluded I need a root canal. I'd never had a root canal before, so was asking questions. He seemed annoyed I was asking him to explain the procedure, down time, why he thinks it's an appropriate treatment, etc. I finally got him to admit the cause of my pain may be inflammation and the root canal may not be necessary. We agreed to reevaluate in 2 weeks. Then he proceeds -- in front of my face -- to tell the technician to schedule me for a root canal. What?! I get shoved out the door but not before the secretary tried getting me to sign off on the root canal procedure I never agreed to! I felt very pressured and dismissed and ultimately uncomfortable working with them. I got a second opinion and guess what -- all due to inflammation and no root canal was needed. My gut saved me from a completely unnecessary procedure. Beware! read more

On the day of the procedure, Dr. Kramp reviewed the process, what to expect and reassured me to relax, giving me the confidence that I was in good hands. I had a tooth with an old filling that cracked and broke off. My dentist thought the previous dentist didn't clear out all of the cavity under the filling, so the tooth had been decaying for the last 20 years. He referred me to Redmond Endodontics for a possible root canal. They fit me in the same day for an evaluation. Turns out I did need a root canal. Dr. Eichenberger said it looked like my tooth had 4 canals and discussed the anatomy and procedure with me. They did take 2 more x-rays, even though I'd had 2 at my dentist's office earlier. During the evaluation, they pulled my insurance information and let me know what the final cost to me would be by the time the evaluation was complete. Five days later, I'm in the chair for the root canal. They give me the first few shots of novocain and I'm still having some sensitivity. More anesthetic. Work starts and because of my odd canal anatomy, Dr. Eichenberger has to work pretty hard to clear out the canals....A normally 1.5 hour appointment became 4 hours! About 3 hours in, he discovered 2 more canals, and cleaned them out too. (I've had friends whose endodontist made them reschedule if they found additional canals). They were great about making sure that I was pain free during the procedure. If I so much as twitched, they checked in to see how I was doing. Fast forward to the morning after: there is some residual tenderness around the gumline, but overall, I am pretty pain-free. You'd never know someone was poking around in my mouth for 4 hours. This was much better than my first root canal experience! I couldn't be happier with my treatment and would completely recommend them for work. I hope to avoid future root canals, but if it became necessary, I would definitely come back here. read more

I had a bad initial experience here and won't be going back. I was referred to this office from my family dentist to address a problem tooth. I trusted my dentist and made the appointment. I arrived 15 mins early to fill out paperwork, as directed by staff, even though it only took about 3 mins, and then waited. The waiting room is cramped, with only 6-ish chairs, and people were literally standing as they waited, including one man on crutches with his two caregivers. Nothing was done to address this by staff. Seemed like a normal day there. They were too busy enjoying their lunches in back, since it was just before 1pm. Then after filling out the paperwork and giving them my detailed referral sheet, I'm herded off to the 'electronic signature area' which is this odd desk with a non-lefthand friendly digital pad in which you must sign two waivers AGAIN only this time electronically. Then you are herded off to a treatment room, where I am promptly asked 'what are we working on today?'. Mind you, this is after I was asked in detail over the phone to read the referral when making the appointment AND had handed them a written referral AND had filled out copious paperwork. Then the doctor tells me they don't have my xrays from the family dentist, even though I made a point of asking about this when making the appointment weeks earlier. So they needed more xrays. So I sat for more xrays, which ended up not being clear enough. I then had to sit for more xrays. And THIS was the worst part of my visit. The tech needed to get a back view on a certain angle and was having a hard time getting the sensor thing back there AND to stay in place. So she had me bite down on it AND THEN TWIST IT while I was biting down on it, which dug into the area underneath my tongue, cutting me. I opened my mouth in pain and she just sighed. And then did it twice more, until I refused any more. I am not ashamed to say it hurt a lot. I was in pain from that and it was not necessary. I was upset at the rough treatment and when the doctor came in, I simply told him I wasn't getting any more work done and that I was finished. I left, was herded to the payment area, where I was given a $1500 estimate for future work and told to sign it. (huh? wtf? I this a dentist or a car dealership?) A few weeks later, I was sent a bill for $3 covering the amount of 'services' not paid for by my insurance company. So fine, Redmond Endodontics, you can have my blood and you can have my three dollars. But I am danged sure going to let Yelpers know about my bad experience there. Summary: process-heavy, poor customer service. They have lost the plot completely. One positive: the front desk lady is very friendly. read more

I had a root canal done many years ago when I lived in Michigan. I didn't know what to expect and have been afraid having dental work done ever since. Then the other day I found out that one of my friends has a son who needed a root canal and they went to Dr. Eichenberger. I was surprised when I found out that it didn't phase him at all. After seeing how happy they were about the way it went, I am no longer afraid of having work done on my teeth. Now I am planning to see a dentist next month for my first check-up in over 10 years. When my 7 year old had a dental trauma to his two front teeth our dentist recommend we see an Endodontist for the best care. Dr. Eichenburg got us in immediately and was wonderful in assessing the damage with minimal additional discomfort to my son. Dr. Eichenberger is the biggest ass known to man. I had called their office multiple times to make an appointment and repeatedly got voice mail. I left messages every time requesting a call back to schedule an appointment since I had been unable to reach someone. I never got a call back but was finally able to reach someone to set something up. Fast forward to today- Dr. Eichenberger has the nerve to tell me that my child's tooth maybe worse because I waited so long to make an appointment. When I explained to him that I had called before and not been able to reach someone, he told me that there had been a lot of availability to have her seen before today. How in the fuck was I supposed to make an early appointment if I can't get ahold of someone??? He is very arrogant and impatient. He talked down to my child and myself when I was asking important questions about her tooth and her future care. He was recommended to me because they work with children but I would never take a child here. It isn't a kid friendly office and he does not have the demeanor to work well with scared, apprehensive kids. read more

Above and beyond. First off the actual work that was done was top notch. Not rushed and certainly talked through any issues prior to the impending root canal I was having. What also impressed me with the office was the follow up. The office checked in on me but Dr Kramp also did, twice and one time was 7:30 at night on a Sunday. We were referred to Dr. Eichenberger after a dentist discovered our son needed a root canal. He had an infection above his tooth and was placed on antibiotics. He was in pain and he needed to be seen right away. The appointment process was so easy. The front office answered immediately and showed extreme care and concern for our son from the very first phone call. Dr. Eichenberger and the entire staff were all so kind to our son. He is one of the nicest, most warm and caring people in the medical field that I have ever met. He talked to our son in medical terms but still age appropriate so that he understood the process. Dr. Eichenberger was recommended to us by our dentist and everyone I talked to said he was the best. The entire staff is family friendly. The appointment went just as the front office employees had explained on the phone. We arrived to fill out paperwork and found a comforting feeling in his inviting waiting room with attractive and appealing art work. The front office staff was excellent at multitasking and made us feel like we were very important as they did with everyone else in the office. We were not sure what this process would be like and found that the office staff took care of everything. They handled the insurance billing and allowed us to make payments on the small portion we owe since we decided to go out of network for this care based on Dr. Eichenberger's excellent reputation. After the initial paperwork was completed, we were politely escorted to the treatment area which is equipped with state of the art technology equipment. The x-rays and the initial prep work for the procedure were handled so smoothly that it put us all at ease. The thought of having a root canal done isn't very pleasant, but this experience was wonderful. Our son was in so much pain prior to this procedure and then told us he was 100% pain free during and after the appointment. The entire team at Redmond Endodontics was friendly, open and very positive. Dr. Eichenberger was extremely professional, but also very warm and kind and he built confidence in the procedure, the outcome and his abilities. We were very impressed with his skill and capacity to care for our son. The Redmond Endodontics practice operates in a very well organized and resourceful manner. Their devotion to technology such as electronic registration, electronic records and state of the art equipment as well as a caring staff were so appreciated. Thanks to Dr. Eichenberger and his staff, our son told us he will never be afraid of another Root Canal should he ever need another one. I was not very happy with my experience at this practice. I'm sure they are competent, and if you get a referral here, I am sure you will be fine using their services. The front desk staff were polite but I had some issues with insurance and billing and I just never felt like they understood what my issue was, despite me explaining it multiple times Basically, they and my family dentist coordinated costs estimates, which is great, but neither office told me they did that. Right before my appointment at this office, I got an estimate from my dentist for a different procedure. I am having a lot of work done in a short period of time across different specialists, so its been tough keeping track of exactly what was charged to my insurance. According to this estimate, I was almost out of dental benefits. What I didn't know is that my dentists office had already added the estimated root canal cost (the part where they coordinated but didn't tell me). So I show up to my appointment, ready to pay with CareCredit (again, lots of work getting done at once). This is where I find out they don't take CareCredit. I tell the lady I have to cancel my appointment, as I don't have enough left on insurance to cover it per an estimate I received at my main office, and I don't have the $1500 cash to pay it now. Instead of offering to check on my insurance benefits or letting me know they already coordinated the costs, she just apologized and had me cancel my appointment. I contacted my family dentist to get a referral elsewhere and this is where I learned of the miscommunication. I rescheduled with Redmond Endodontics, but both times I tried to explain why I was confused, she just didn't understand what I was talking about at all. She kept thinking I was saying that I didn't realize my insurance rolled over with the new year or something. I just let it go. Outside of that, I was miffed I had to pay for another set of x-rays when I had ones taken and forwarded to them the previous day at my family dentist. They claimed they never received them but my other office insisted they sent them. Ok, whatever, I get that you're looking for a specific thing in the images, but it wouldn't have hurt to look at the other ones first. When I was finally able to get in and get my root canal, it took almost 2 hours. The tooth was far in the back and despite nitrous and novacaine, I was in a lot of pain. My jaw was sore for several days and the tooth was extremely sensitive to any pressure for almost a week. This is not my first root canal, and I did not experience this previously. I don't think this is due to any fault of the practice, just that I had a bad experience. The only thing I can think of is that it was a rather large cavity; the assistant did point out on the post-procedure x-ray that there was a little "bulb" over one of the roots but that it would go away on its own. I was told to take 2 ibuprofen and a tylenol, which I did at the intervals indicated. I got a followup call the next day, where I communicated that I was still in a lot of pain, to the point where I wasn't able to eat much (not just from the tooth but the pain was nauseating) and was told to take more ibuprofen. As someone who has a lot of dental anxiety and is sensitive to dental pain, I didn't have a great experience here and will try to find a referral elsewhere for future services. I felt the staff were competent and polite but not particularly warm. read more

I have been to this office and had several root canals done by Dr. Eichenberger. He is very kind and does not make the procedure any more painful than it has to be. He is very empathetic and will help you make it through the procedures as easily as he can. Special dental procedures can become very expensive, but the staff and the doctor himself will help as they are able. Not that I love getting root canals done, but I would be happy to return to Redmond Endodontics to get procedures done. I highly recommend Dr. Eichenberger! read more

Dr Kramp re-did a root canal that I had done over 10 years earlier. I had no pain or any symptoms, just a recommendation to be redone based on a few xrays. Although he was very knowledgeable and careful when doing the procedure, I felt like he left out important information that I should've known before agreeing to get my root canal redone. After the procedure he informed me that I have tooth resorption, which means that my immune system is eating away my tooth root due to a chronic infection on the tooth. He recommended that we wait a year and see if the new root canal would clear the infection. Fast forward a month later, my gum at the tooth is very inflamed and things didn't look or feel so well. I paid him a visit and he took a 3D CT scan of my tooth, which showed extreme root loss and Dr Kramp told me there is no hope but to just extract the tooth. So there you go, now I have to extract a tooth that didn't give me any problems prior to Dr Kramps procedure. My question to Dr Kramp is, why didn't you take a CT scan before the root canal procedure to see if the tooth should even be worked on? read more

My experience with Redmond Endodontics is more than great and superior! After doing crown for one tooth, I still can't bite hard food with it as it stays very sensitive. My family dentist tried her best to adjust and fix the problem several times. It didn't help. She finally referred me to Redmond Endodontics for a thorough check and most likely doing the root canal for the same tooth. Until today, I still feel so lucky to be able to see Dr. Eichenberger at this clinic. He is really a fascinating professional with respectable integrity!!! He spent a lot of time very *patiently* trying different tactics and tools, asking me to bite in all possible angles I can't even imagine. The findings are unbelievable - he finally narrowed down where the killing shooting pain was actually from: it is from the other tooth that is opposite on the top. He turned me back to my family dentist and she quickly fixed the problem based off Dr. Eichenberger diagnosis. What an experience!! Dr. Eichenberger actually saved my tooth which is still alive and biting hard today. I am equally impressed by the super friendly staff in the surprisingly clean and comfortable office. Still remember the true, warm and peaceful smile from Ms. Rammone. It must be very helpful for those that feel nervous about Root Canal surgery. I got to chat with Dr. Kramp as well. I can sense that he is definitely great and knowledgable. Again, still feel I was so lucky to be referred to this Endodontic clinic - Things will never go wrong with the top notch and, more importantly, trustable professionals and the wonderful staff over there. read more

Being told that you need a root canal is never happy news but I had a really positive experience at Redmond Endodontics. From scheduling to billing to the actual procedure, everything went smoothly and I felt well taken care of. Dr. Eichenberger spent a good deal of time working on my very back molar, actually finding and successfully treating a fourth canal. Throughout the procedure, he and his assistant checked in with me frequently, explained what they were doing and listened to & addressed my questions. I actually experienced zero pain during the procedure, which I was not expecting. Following the root canal, they've followed up to make sure I've been doing well. I ended up switching primary dentists after the procedure, and my new dentist looked at the x-ray of the work Dr. Eichenberger did and said that the root canal had been done very well. Hopefully I won't ever need a root canal again but I know where I'm going if I do. read more

I had tooth pain with a crown that never felt right but just recently was having pain with just drinking water and even eating on the other side of my mouth. I scheduled and appt with Redmond Endodontics for a Friday but couldn't make it, I was in so much pain and it just kept getting worse! I called their office and let them know what was going on and they squeezed me in same day even though they were short staffed. They got me in did the tests which were showing likely that I needed a root canal. Turned out the root was infected likely do to a leakage in my crown, they did the root canal but I had to come back to complete it after taking antibiotics to get the infection under control. Both times I was there I felt the staff were wonderful and Dr. Eichenberger really knew what he was doing and took his time to do a great job. I didn't feel any pain and I was so happy to no longer have tooth pain. I hope I don't have to go back anytime soon but if I do I will definitely come back to Redmond Endodontics. read more

It's hard to believe that I can love an endodontist but when I was in agony with a failed, antique root canal, Dr. Eichenberger was able to treat my tooth successfully... without destroying the crown! Very gentle yet precise work. Very high tech. They were able to get me in quickly and were great with followup. Dr. Eichenberger is the best! I was referred to him by my general dentist who I trust. Dr. Eichenberger made me feel very comfortable during the whole root canal process. He patiently listened to my concerns and answered my questions. He didn't jump into doing the root canal right away, he did a series of testing. During the treatment he was asking how I was doing. His assistant gave me his contact information incase I had any problems afterwards with the treatment. I haven't had a problem with my tooth since. I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for an endodontist. read more

I went to another dentist that tried to work on my teeth and they decided that I needed a root canal (and possibly a second one). After giving up half way through because it was "too complicated", they suggsted I find a specialist. (Gee thanks!). I decided to see Dr. Eichenberger (spelling?) because my friend highly recommended him. He was able to work me in for an appointment very quickly which was a big relief because by now, my tooth was really bothering me. Everyone was very nice and polite in the office. Dr. Eichenberger was very thorough with the exam and decided that only one tooth needed the root canal (Big relief!). I'm a chicken when it comes to the dentist, but since he explained what he was doing every step of the way, it not only made things more interesting, it also made a lot more sense to me. I thought root canals were supposed to hurt, but at this point, my tooth was bothering me so much that I didn't care any more. Turns out I was pleasantly surprised. :) Not that I'd recommend a root canal to anyone, but if you have to get one this office is about the best I could imagine. read more

Dr. Theron Eichenberger of Redmond Endodontics is a fantastic dentist. In the past, I have had some troubling experiences at dentists office. Recently, Dr. Eichenberger performed a root canal on me, and I have to say, he is an excellent dentist in every respect. He is gentle, thoughtful, thorough, and engaged. He was very gentle while performing a difficult root canal. I was never in any discomfort, from the application of anesthesia to the drilling. He was thoughtful throughout the procedure, always ensuring that I was as comfortable as possible. He was thorough from the initial examination to the personal follow up call after the procedure. And he was engaged in what he was doing and how I was doing from beginning to end. For anyone who has had bad experiences at dentists, or is otherwise fearful of going to the dentist, I would highly recommend going to Dr. Eichenberger. You will be glad you did.
