It really took a toll on my health as a senior, and caused everything in my house to mildew, even the insides of drawers. My kitchen ceiling is stained from the leaking drain and the overhead light no longer works. Surfside got paid thru Alabama Power, but would not honor their warranty when the HVAC stopped working just days after installation. I am retired and have had no means to fix it. The issue is all documented with Alabama Power who financed the system.

Recently, I found myself in a bit of a panic -- we had just gotten new cell phones, were locked out of our system, and were leaving for vacation the next day. I called the office for help troubleshooting, and Keith returned my call immediately. He explained that my issue would typically require a service call, but since we were about to leave town, he went above and beyond. They called about 45-60 min before they arrived and their office sent a text with a picture and short bio of the technician. Technician showed up during the window promised (9ish), troubleshot the problem thoroughly explained issues, showed me options and installed new hot water heater pretty quickly. They spend a lot of time looking for papers that are just scattered all over the place. Customer jobs get postponed all the time on the day of the job and customers aren't notified. There were technicians who really didn't know how to do the work or they'd just push parts on customers instead of really trying to diagnose and fix problems. Just call any other HVAC company first.

I also bought a air scrubbing unit from them with a 5 year warranty, less than 2 years later it doesn't work, they will not come look at it unless I pay a 60$ service fee for a product under warranty, when I spoke to then they gave me some Builsh*t excuse that it has a 5 year warranty on part then a 2 year on other parts...just stay away from this company unless you enjoy being ripped off.

Contracted this company a few weeks ago to estimate & install a 20K whole home standby generator…read more I chose the B&S Fortress which comes standard w/ a 10 year warranty on equipment, parts & labor. Not had to use it yet but, this review is for the sales, install and service thus far and my business dealings with Hual Electric. Josh was my estimator and installer. He's like an avatar/robot. Showed up on time, explained everything to the simplest detail and gave me an estimate that was fair. On schedule, a few days later, he returned and installed the equipment and ensured everything was iaw local electrical code. He rewired everything from the weather-head to the generator itself and everything in between. He ensured the worksite was cleaned up and that I was 100% satisfied and educated on the system. The front office staff was great too. Welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly (especially Jessica O.) Overall: I highly recommend.
