This review is based on Sunday Funday experience at Red Line Brewhouse! Half priced appetizers and $5 core beers! Just like Happy Hour for the whole Sunday! Nachos? Pretzels? Wings? or dare I said Salad?! The beer is good! I love how they all has catchy names. Check Engine, Clutch, Air Ride, Traffic Jam... Love the bottle shop as it is just so well stocked. Unfortunately I cannot review the food, or space atmosphere cause of covid. The space does look nice inside, it's in an odd strip mall, but who cares. The beer, definitely good when fresh. They are doing some interesting things the beer. I've had them delivered (pretty easy) and gone to pickup (also easy enough) and liked everything I had. The staff, gave a recommendation that was appreciated and helped. If I'm in Barrie and they open again, will go again. read more

Gord and I had supper this evening at Redline Brewhouse. It's a nice big space. They make their own beer onsite. Gord loves craft beer and that's why we went there. They sell their beer and swag onsite. Erin, our server/bartender started us off with some small pretzel buns. Gord ordered Mackin' Cheese. He said it was delicious and he would get it again. I ordered 1/2 Jerk Marinated Chicken. I swapped the potato salad and succotash salad for cumin scented basmati rice. The chicken was okay. I just ate the breast (it was a bit dry) and took the leg in a doggy bag. Though the seasoning in the rice was good, the rice was crunchy and wasn't cooked so Erin took it to be redone. When it came back, it was overcooked and mushy so Erin took it away again. She was nice enough not to charge me for my meal. Gord enjoyed the beer and bought two four-packs to take home. The brewhouse is supposed to close at 11pm but because we were the only ones there, Erin closed it down early. read more

They have your standard pub fare, which is not really my cup of tea generally. Food was good - tried the pizza. Waitress was very nice. Tables are very spaced apart during covid. For those who like beer, this is probably a good spot for you. read more

We just had the opportunity to eat at the new Redline Brewhouse. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The staff was excellent and very knowledgeable about the selections of the beers and the food. Decent brewery! My boyfriend and I decided to brew hop in Barrie for our anniversary this year and Redline was our first stop. The inside of this place was cool, super auto oriented. My fave beer was the clutch followed closely by cruise control. Mmm! We ordered a poutine and it came pretty quick. The gravy was beefy with shoestring fries. I loved it all! I saw they had daily food specials too. I'd be interested in coming back to sample some seasonal brews and more food! read more

We moved to Barrie recently and decided to try this place out. We tried the flights of beer to get acquainted. The hostess was friendly and helped us pick the right beers for our tastes. We enjoyed them all but naturally had some favorites. We got hungry and decided to try the meat and cheese plate....delicious. Homemade crackers, roasted garlic, onion jam, meats, cheeses and olives. It was well stocked and for $20 we can honestly say we won't be eating a dinner at this point. We will be back, the rest of the menu looks interesting. last night, impromptu get together with friends from work, upon recommendation. There were 10 of us. Service was ok at first then is slowed down...some got served late, drinks. Then the food order...the pickles were doughy, the wings were overcooked, twice, and the flavour was substandard, and I kept getting the wrong dipping sauce. Even after sending my order back, they charged me for additional sauce...seriously. my friend specified no lettuce on her nachos and it came with lettuce...we both sent our orders back. The wine was the only good thing I ingested. everything was WAY overpriced for what you got. THEN I check my bill, this morning, and they tacked on an 18% gratuity, over and above the tip I gave...there was no heads up about this...I am PISSED...will never go back and will not recommend it to anyone else.!!!!! read more

Beer is pretty good, best in Barrie. Decent for GTA. Food is very hit and miss. Not just out of the box frozen crap. Good house-made onion rings, but they're an absolute rip off: upgrading from the fries only gets you four. 4. FOUR. Obviously run by cheapass idiots. First time. Service is excellent. Clutch beer is delicious. Elk Sausage on a bun is really good. Chowder needs more flavour and love put into it. $15 for that combo is a little much, considering the roadhouse burger is less and much bigger. All in all a good first impression. Different beer samples...food was so so. Made reservation for 7 and they had it written down but didn't reserve so had to wait. Three of us didn't like our meal burgers too dry. I had portobello mushroom it was ok. Onion rings greasy I'm not fussy but I like good food. I have had beer samples like that before fun to try. Atmosphere like a cafeteria prefer a pub . We came here on a recommendation from a friend. I had the fish cakes and the appropriate haze German wheat beer. My wife had the mac and cheese and the check engine amber beer. Everything was great. Food was fresh and very tasty. The bar has a big dining room and an upstairs for events. It has a great atmosphere with a mild car theme. I would highly recommend this venue for a meal , event, or just to pick up some beer. read more

I would never recommend Redline... we have had nothing but problems with making plans to go and enjoy a meal. The staff do not seem to be properly trained for the positions along with the manager "Dexter" is not fit for the manager position. The last straw was today when my group was getting ready to attend our reservations that were booked a month and half ago to celebrate my husbands birthday at 1pm and I had people coming from downtown Toronto to attend when someone in our party noticed that their Instagram post advised they would be closed at 2 pm for a private function!! Upon calling to see what was happing, Jordana advised me that she was sorry and that she spoke to The manager dexter and that she is ok that I call her to figure this out... first of all THE MANAGER SHOULD BE CALLING ME and they even called to confirm on Saturday for today with no mention of this party attending and that we had a time limit to leave... but I guess it goes with how they run this place...even when I called she didn't answer when I was told she would be waiting for my call by Jordana. When calling me back, Dexter advised that they are trying to accommodate the celebration of life that they had coming in and that it should not affect our reservation ... however my group likes to sit and relax and because now we would of had to be out by 2:30pm and I'm sorry we would have felt awkward if we were still there especially a group celebrating the life of someone. Furthermore, when speaking with Dexter she advised that this was the best she could do but basically had to be out by 3 and there was nothing else that she could do for us... this is where I can't even spend any more money with them plus this being the FOURTH time they have not come through with reservations and/or beer in their bottle shop and we always kept going back but I can't bring myself, family or friends back to this place especially with the poor attitude and service! read more

i have tried the beer and have heard good things about the food. I also heard that they have a upstairs venue that you can rent out for parties so i thought it was a good idea to have my work Halloween Party there. Unfortunately the girl that books the parties never got back to me about conformation or even replied to my questions about the space after she told me if was available for the day i was requesting. i called Redline and left her numerous messages and no reply. i just don't understand how you can be in that business and not reply to potential customers even after you said the date was available . read more

1 1/2 hours waiting for food. Server told us there was an issue at 45min then avoided us. At 1 1/2 hours in we asked another server what the problem was and she said there was an order of 40 people and another of 12 people. Terrible service and communication. Don't waste your time here. Food finally came and it as OK. Portions wee small. It's clear that they did not care how long we waited. Poor business and the beer was only OK for a micro brewery. I won't be coming back. Heineken actually is better than there beer and I usually enjoy many different micro IPA's. Hope this review helps! read more

I think it's so rude to have your phone out in the open when you should be paying attention to customers. 5 of us had lunch here on Saturday July 15. Paulina was our server and she was friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the brewery. The food was spectacular. The Roadhouse burger was the best burger I think I have ever had. It was served hot, promptly and with lots of smiles and friendly interaction from Paulina. Portions were generous and prices were reasonable. You do not have to be a beer drinker/lover to eat here! I've been meaning to experience Redland Brew house since it opened and finally made that opportunity tonight. We were there for 2 1/2hrs, only because the service was very slow. We finally received our meals 1 1/2hrs later. We weren't rude about it but our server was definitely avoiding us and this situation entirely. We weren't even offered any form of discount or free appetizer like any other restaurant would. The food was tasty but was not the fully enjoyed due to the unfortunate long waiting period. Excellent beer and great food. Brought the executive staff from my work for a meal and to sample the beer. Ended up leaving with one (or three) of every beer. Friendly staff and a really nice brewhouse to watch the game and enjoy a pint. Nice to see a few new breweries open nearby that haven't been acquired by macro 'brewing' companies. read more
