I was referred to Temecula Accurate Auto Care through AAA, and before taking my vehicle in, I spent some time reading their reviews. Based on my experience, I can see why they have so many positive ones. My vehicle was having an issue related to the fuel pump. They took the time to properly diagnose the problem, explained what was going on, and made the necessary repair. I really appreciated that they focused on identifying the actual issue rather than just throwing parts at the problem or recommending work that wasn't needed. The final cost did come in a little higher than the initial estimate, but I think it's important to be fair about that. An estimate is exactly that--an estimate. Sometimes additional costs come up once a mechanic gets into the actual repair and sees exactly what is needed. Personally, I don't think it's fair to penalize a business simply because an estimate ends up being a little higher than originally expected, especially when the work is done properly and the issue is actually resolved. I've been driving the car for the past few days since getting it back, and so far it has been running great with no issues. At the end of the day, that's what matters most to me: the problem was properly diagnosed, repaired, and the vehicle is running the way it should. I'm glad AAA referred me to Temecula Accurate Auto Care. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, knowledgeable, and reliable mechanic.

Evidently, they took his fiance's jeep to Mopar Alternatives for repairs and were extremely pleased with the work, a fair price and true professionalism. Well, they were spot on! After my first call to Kenny, I understood what my friend meant by "professionalism". This is something that has become a rarity in many places nowadays. It's something I absolutely look for and appreciate. I dropped the vehicle off at the end of the work day and Kenny called me back, prior to lunch the following day, with his assessment and estimate for repairs. He also recommended that it was time for a break job. Although I knew a break job was needed, it wasn't on my list of repairs because I had actually forgotten that it was needed - he was right and I am glad he was on top of it. So, the work I had done: They replaced the power steering system, spark plugs and (as mentioned) the brakes (replaced rotors and pads on the front and pads on rear. When they were working on the power steering system they took care in removing the hoses from the reservoir as to not damage it. Sometimes the reservoir, which is plastic, can become brittle and break. He checked out the reservoir and determined it didn't need replacement, saving me $300! Overall, his pricing across the board was excellent, as was the quality of work performed. The icing on the cake was communicating with Kenny, he is a good man. If you are looking for a "go to" shop for auto repairs - Mopar Alternatives and Kenny need to be added to the contacts on your cell phone. I am so fortunate I asked my buddy for an opinion. This is how it should work... A business does what it promises, its professional and completes work in a reasonable amount of time... that's absolutely what took place. Word of mouth travels far and fast when you do great work... Word of "Yelp" can take it to the next level... You know what to do!! Check these folks out, you won't be disappointed. My transmission died on a road trip and I crawled my car over to Bobby Grinch Auto Repair. The timing was crazy, because I was an hour away from home and the closest rental car place closed in 30 minutes, so I had to make a split decision to leave my car at this repair shop for a diagnostic ($200ish). I was going to have to walk several blocks with all of my bags and luggage, but the guy who worked here did not hesitate to offer me a ride, help me load all my bags into his truck, and drove me to the enterprise down the street. Totally outside of his job description, but just being a nice guy. I was able to rent a car and get home to San Diego. The quote was too much for us to repair (a whole new transmission on a Juke at the end of its life -- it was time to move on), but the repair shop let us keep the car parked out front for about a week while we sorted out how to get it and sell it to Carmax. They put the keys in the lockbox for us so we could pick it up after hours. All together very nice guys who seemed like they really cared about our situation and helped us out a ton.

The previous owner became a royal b*tch when I pointed out it was her responsibility and we will settle this in small claims court, but that's another story. For 3 weeks I have been trying to smog the Pathfinder. Seven attempts, each after work was done. Codes popping up, clearing themselves, different codes, drive cycles.....it has been a nightmare, not only for me but for Jerry, my mechanic. One day, when picking up the Pathfinder from yet another visit, Jerry said something about his dad knowing a guy up in Temecula who was an emissions specialist....he was gonna call and get his advice. Upon telling me about the call, he suggested I take the Pathfinder to him. After another failed attempt at smogging, I decided to give Javier a try because I was becoming disheartened. Had to go up the day before because no way was I getting up BEFORE the morning commuters to cross the border (I live in Mexico) and I took the vehicle in nice and early the next day. Got good reports and at the end of the day, Javier was doing the drive cycle. I was letting myself get happy. Then, call came that as he was pulling back into the shop, the engine light came on........another night at the La Quinta. The next day was nerve-wracking and it took most of the day for Javier and his crew to find another leak (way underneath something they elaborately explained and in no way can I try and repeat it as I am mechanically challenged) and get it repaired. But finally, at 6:15 p.m. I had my smog certificate and Pathfinder. The bill was so low I feel kinda guilty. I called the office so much over 2 days I feel like Debra is one of my new BFFs.
