How do these locations rate five stars is beyond me? I have had nothing but issues trying to get scheduled for an appointment. The Redlands office called me to set up an appointment. I told them that I reside in the high desert Victorville they told me that they had a location in Apple Valley. They set up the initial appointment, then two days later they called and told me that they were unable to complete the appointment and had to reschedule, I excepted that appointment then they called me back again yet to reschedule yet again the appointment was scheduled for October 18 today at 1:30. I arrive to my appointment at 1 o'clock upon doing so they were not open and there was another couple waiting outside when the employee, a female, whom I will not name because she is not worth it, however the attitude she displayed to the patients waiting outside she was absolutely disrespectful and outright rude. Once I went inside and told them I had an appointment at 1:30 PM. They looked on their computers and then told me that they could not find it and I was to go to the Redlands office. There was another lady sitting next to the lady who came out the door with the attitude. And her attitude was even worse. After a bit of conversation back-and-forth I ask them for the office number in Redlands. They gave it to me when I asked in reference to them having an office manager I was met with more attitude, so I called the Redlands office and spoke with a Jesse, she was at first very pleasant and all the sudden she gave me instant attitude and said I can set you up for an appointment on Thursday. I told her I live in Victorville and that is way out of the way for me to drive back down there for a consultation only. I asked again for an office manager at this location. She was not very forthcoming. She was very hesitant and defensive when I also asked for their corporate office number she was really reluctant to give that up, but I did get it out of her, which turns out the main office is in Albuquerque New Mexico call that number and spoke with an Anna explain the whole situation to her. She put me on hold and calls the Apple Valley location back. Upon her doing so I was on hold for about 15 to 20 minutes. She eventually got through to them and said I can go up there to do the consultation. I agreed however upon going back up stairs the other young lady who gave me the attitude was the one doing the consultation and her attitude did not change she really had a poor attitude, so again how does this location get five stars? It beats me, but I will never go back to this location or deal with active life. They were horrible so if you decide to go there you were warned.

I'm of the opinion that most of the customers that walk into this store would never go to Yelp and…read moreread this review. So this review is for the likely younger and web savvy. If that's you -- -- JCPenney offers the best value in clothing, no contest. Much better than depressing places like Walmart, Target, Ross, Burlington -- all that nonsense. It's better than Kohl's too, but not always. I know, I know -- you think JCP is for old people. So you're making the mistake of never walking in. So let me explain: parts of the store are for old people. Their kids section is sad compared to Kohl's and OLD NAVY, so you're not wrong there. However, there are departments that have been re-vitalized because of a new killer design team. Middle aged and younger women should inspect the A.N.A and WORTHINGTON departments, which greet you when you walk in. You're missing out on some stunning affordable fashion. A.N.A is like FREE PEOPLE LIte, which means not as over the top ornate or pricey. Middle aged and younger men need to sniff around MUTUAL WEAVE and sometimes ST. JOHN'S BAY. That latter brand used to be dull Midwest MEH... but it's starting to show a little life because of the aforementioned new design team. So. You've never heard of those brands, younger web savvy person? That's because they're in house brands. JCP doesn't have to pay for rights to a name, which means neither do you. That's where the value thing kicks in. If you've been brainwashed to think brand is everything, you've already stopped reading by now. But if you're still reading these words, know the shockingly good prices are in these store brands. They're not 'cheap' because they're 'junk'. They're inexpensive because there's no middle man gauging you. But so many are so brainwashed to think if a woman's sweater is $9.99 during a Doorbuster, you're being had. Nope. You're likely not. Now, if some kind reader runs in with this review and sees high prices, or let's say 'higher than Kohl's', I didn't say JCPenney's prices are always better. To get the best prices, you must -- 1. Go into the store when new shipments have arrived. Check them out. Try stuff on. 2. If you see an insanely good DOORBUSTER price, nab it. Otherwise -- 3. -- photograph the item and stalk it online. Every Friday prices can change, and you'll start to learn when to buy and when to wait. Do this over coffee as a hobby. If the prices on a few items drop, buy them online and have them delivered to the store. Also -- 4. -- join their REWARDS program. Customers that show an interest in this store can buy stuff way cheaper than casual buyers. It's like wholesale vs. retail. My partner in crime bought a simple but nice sweater, a black model long sleeve teeshirt with white stripes, and a pair of Xersion exercise pants with flairs. Cute. All three, with no rewards and no clearance: $35. Me and my partner have cleaned the store out these last 3 seasons. Kohl's may be cheaper, but lots of their stuff is cheap junk. And when JCPenney has a real sale, they're at Kohl's prices. If you don't believe me, go to YouTube and watch Kerry Spence do her JCPenney Hauls. Because she's a lady of color she prefers the Worthington stuff, whereas Redlands should lean into the A.N.A.

After being assured by the sales representative that they would help correct my under pronation as a runner and improve my overall foot condition, I was sold. Instead, my condition has worsened. I already had arthritis in my left big toe, but since using these products, the pain has become constant. I am now also experiencing pain in my right foot, which I did not previously have. Additionally, the orthotic inserts do not stay in place properly. I was sold special slipcovers and additional insert coverings supposedly designed to help secure the orthotics along with small velcro dots, but they have not resolved the issue. Despite following the instructions provided by the store, the products have failed to perform as represented. I was told by the sales representative that my HMO would cover the orthotics and inserts. I learned that this information was false. Another concern is the apparent practice of aggressively pushing Brooks stability running shoes alongside their orthotics and inserts, regardless of the customer's actual running style or needs. As someone familiar with running and under pronation, I do not believe the recommendations provided were appropriate or based on proper medical evaluation.
