We brought our 2 young children for a one night stay in room/cabin 8, which is on the second floor. It was cozy, clean, small, low ceiling, comfy bed, with breathtaking views of the Salmon River. The rate for a Friday night was $199, which is up from the weekday rate of $103. It's fair if you are fans of views like we are. It was in close proximity to the general store, and a few restaurants in Stanley. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back to visit again soon.

Gorgeous view from our room/deck. Very nice & easy check in. Only down fall was, when we arrived the room was over 80°, which was a surprise that there was no air conditioner. Maybe that's my fault for not reading through all the accommodations but I just figured it would have A/C. So that could be my fault, but besides that everything was perfectly clean, nice room & comfy bed which is a huge plus. Quite a bit of flying bugs in the room but we are in the mountains, we just made sure to not leave doors open or cracked. Over all we had a great stay.

This place is dreamy. Our friends stayed on the river side. I stayed on the sawtooth side. Both sides have a gorgeous view.

Incredibly beautiful setting right on the Salmon River. Great porch right out your door to enjoy the view and watch for wild life. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bedding, bed and towels nice quality. Live this place! Close to many hiking trails and river rafting companies.

Patio view of the river! Beautiful!!

Being right on the river was incredible, sitting on the porch was such a treat! A great space to unwind after a long day of playing outside. The room was clean and the updated shower was delightful. The staff is friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed. We're already planning a return visit! Thank you!

We stayed in the Osprey room. Great view from the private deck overlooking the river. Room was clean and comfortable. We will be back for sure!

We had the most incredible week at Redfish. We stayed in cabin #8 & had a beautiful view of the Sawtooths. We played cards every night and stargazed only the beautiful shared deck that overlooked the river. We rented a pontoon, rafted, hiked & rested. Highly recommend the Sunset Appetizer Cruise. It was perfect for my 50th Birthday. We loved our stay so much that we already booked for next year. Stanley is such a sweet unique town & Redfish is in the perfect location to enjoy it.

Patio deck (shared) right outside our back door. Hotel also provides a bbq grill for this view.

Beautiful location right on the water! The rooms were nice and clean. We had everything we needed in there for us in the kitchenette. Beds and pillows were amazing too! The bathroom was very clean even better than hiltons I've stayed at! The staff was friendly parking easy and convenient. This is great place is great for couples small families a groups and even solo getaways. Dinner and breakfast on the patio deck is so beautiful and relaxing. The property owners have really thought of everything to ensure guests have everything they could want. They have a bbq available for guests to use. Lounge chairs with fresh blankets to use specially for outside at night. Really a great stay things are simple and humble and makes you feel like you're at grandmas cool little cabin. I would definitely come back and bring my own guests here. This would be a great place to rent a few or all the rooms for a family reunion or wedding too!

Stayed here this past weekend on the second floor. The room was very cozy and the heater was working very well. The view was spectacular. The kitchenette had everything one would need (pots, plates, bowls, glasses, cups, utensils, dish detergent, sponge, etc.) Ground coffee along with filters was provided as well. There was a small fridge with a small freezer which was helpful as we brought food from home. The staff was very friendly and communication was great. Location is perfect, one can walk to "downtown" very easily. We very much enjoyed spending time in the room and watching the beautiful view of the Salmon River. It would be nice if the room had four chairs so we could all eat together but we made it work with two. The towels were rather old looking and we had some issues with turning on the shower as the knob was broken but this was supposedly fixed after we left. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again!

Comfortable King room for our friends.

We were beyond delighted with our stay at the Redfish Riverside Inn. This was our second visit to Stanley and we were bringing friends with us so we wanted everything to be perfect. The staff Redfish Riverside Inn was very happy to answer questions and accept reservations prior to the "season". We really appreciate that a staff person is available for questions in advance of "the season". Thank you! (other area options are not always available for advance planning) The location was delightful. The name of the establishment is not a gimmick; our rooms were literally right on the river bank and the river was full and moving quickly. I am not one for cruises, but if you ever wanted to feel like you are on a boat without being on a boat, this must be as close as it gets. Every room opens up to a deck and every room has a very generous table and four chairs for al fresco dining, drinking or just taking in the majesty. When we first arrived, we were standing on the deck and a bird of prey dipped into the river (with a very very fast current) and took its catch to a nearby fence post to enjoy. The quietness of space the is soley dependent on your neighbors' courtesy. We were fortunate that everyone was considerate and kept voices down (to the extent that is possble with a charging river;) Wifi? yes. Slow, but available. The bedding is soft and the mattresses very comfortable. Our room was furnished with two queen sized beds and a small dinette for two. The other room was a king sized bed, a dinette and a gas burning fireplace. Both had pretty decently equipped kitchens. I was thrilled to find a good grater since I had forgotten mine. The only improvement I would like to see is in the kitchenette pans; provided, are pans are the "coated" type and I am fairly certain it has been determined these are not especially good to use for health reasons. (this was no big deal for me; I brought my own pans :) The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The housekeeping is thorough and efficient. The motel respects the dark sky ( there is not a lot of exterior lighting).

When you first walkup to the hotel, you are met with a very rustic, cabin-esque hotel building where you wouldn't expect to find such a fine dining experience. We were sat outside which presented the opportunity to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Sawtooth Mountain range. We ordered several dishes for our meal and every dish was just as amazing as the other! Bigwood Baguette: This was a great start to the meal! The baguette was baked to perfection and had the perfect amount of crunch to it. It comes topped with an herb oil and sea salt which added the most flavorful touch. Soup of the Day: Their soup of the day was a White Bean stew topped with rosemary and hern olive oil. The stew was rich without being too heavy and the seasoning was perfect. Soy Glazed Brussels: The soy sweet chili glaze had such a nice balance of sweetness and the slightest hint of spice. The crispy rice noodles and crumbled peanuts added such a nice textural contrast to the Brussel sprouts, which in my opinion were cooked to perfection! They were seared well without being too burnt or crispy. Beets & Burrata: Hands down one of the highlights of the whole meal. This dish came with a handful of components, that when paired together into one bite on a crostini, resulted in the most delicious amuse-bouche. The burrata was so light and fresh and I never knew that it was the perfect pairing with beets on a crostini. A MUST have. Columbia River Grilled Steelhead: Absolutely stunning. The Steelhead was executed beautifully and the mushroom asparagus risotto was cooked to perfection. Honestly, compliments to the chef for what seemed to almost be an experimental pairing with adding the sweet pesto and blueberry gastrique. Never could have I imagined these flavors being paired together atop a piece of salmon and I will not ever soon forget how flawless this dish was. Pork Schnitzel: This was my husband's dish which I did not have a bite of, but from what I could tell, the Pork Schnitzel was very well done. It was thinned out and tenderized very well and the breading looked like it was golden-crisped wonderfully. I did get to try the mashed potatoes and can remark that they were some of the best I've had! I had some of the lemon caper beurre blanc that was drizzled atop the dish and I would do anything to be able to have a jar of that at home. I am going to talk about this meal for a long time. If you are ever passing through Stanley, Idaho, it would be a giant mistake to not visit the restaurant at the Sawtooth Hotel.

The whole family (11 people) decided to go to Mountain Village Resort for dinner. We walked in and of course were told it would take a bit because of having to put tables together. The deck has a covering but to me, it was still hot outside. Cold waters were served right away and food came out pretty quick. Stanley is a cute city and the Mountain Village Resort is a great place to eat. If I come back to go fishing here, I will definitely be back to eat at this restaurant!

Our cabin was nestled right next to the river, overlooking gorgeous unbroken views of the surrounding valley and snow frosted Sawtooth mountains. At night there were millions of stars, so bright & big you felt like you could reach out and touch them. Our cabin was a delight. It was clean clean clean, brand new ultra comfy mattresses, with soft, fluffy linens complemented the rustic golden original pine walls, ceilings and decor. Intelligent planning blended the best of the old with the new. We loved having a well stocked little kitchen with all the necessary tools & equipment to help you feel comfortable if you wanted to cook. So enjoyed sitting on our personal deck, drinking the delicious coffee and nibbling on the chocolates they gave us, while watching the morning mist rise up off the river. It looked like a magical fairyland. The places to hike to were endless. We Loved the bird watching! We even hung out with a bald eagle while strolling along Redfish Lake. Highly recommend enjoying the brand new sauna. It gets HOT! Then if you're into cardiac arrest you can jump into the river or do the cold plunge barrel. The large middle cabin with its larger kitchen, rooms and spacious deck also overlooking the river, provided the perfect meeting center for our group (we varied from 10-18) to gather for meals, games and sharing the day's events. From beginning to end it was spectacular. Put this on your must do list! Thank you Levie and Stanley River Retreat for incredible experiences & memories we will treasure forever.
