While there is room for 8, the room did not have enough toilet paper when we first came. We went to the front desk and they provided one roll. With this many people, I hoped the staff would have given us more. But the staff were helpful with a requested late checkout and getting us an additional room at the last minute. The ac/heat works well along with the fridge. We didn't use the microwave or TV. The shower head was broken in the single bathroom in this room. Overall it's nothing bad or good. We got what we needed and had an enjoyable stay.

The whole family (11 people) decided to go to Mountain Village Resort for dinner. We walked in and of course were told it would take a bit because of having to put tables together. We decided to sit on the deck which was open. We ate a variety of items from taco salad, to chili to chicken friend steak to pasta. I had the Killer pasta with chicken which was very tasty. The deck has a covering but to me, it was still hot outside. Cold waters were served right away and food came out pretty quick. Stanley is a cute city and the Mountain Village Resort is a great place to eat. If I come back to go fishing here, I will definitely be back to eat at this restaurant!

Update 2024: Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, Redfish gets new beds and remodels the bathrooms at the Inn. Extra comfy beds and wonderful showers now make the stay even more enjoyable! Same time next year for us! For about the last 15 yrs we have been staying for our anniversary weekend at the Redfish Riverside Inn. Great beds, quality service and assistance from Diana and her team make this a great get away! And that is before you take in the beauty of the river right off your patio and rafting, the views of the Sawtooths and the wonderful meals at Limberts, Stanley bakery, Sawtooth Hotel or the Stanley Supper club. Cabin was clean, and the venue quiet, but could have used some TLC: Kitchenette sink and shower water supplies are hooked backwards (cold where hot should be). Not a big deal in the kitchenette, but a scald hazard in the shower. Electric outlet near the kitchenette sink was defective -- only one side of the duplex outlet worked. And the lighting over the table was horrible. Difficult or impossible to do any reading or play games that required reading without using our headlamps. Bedroom door difficult to close against the threadbare carpet underneath it. Needs some attention from a circular saw. Entry door locks have also seen better days; I suspect the fit between the locks and their strike plates was better when first installed. Perhaps previous guests have made off with a mid-sized pot from the kitchenette? All we found was a large pot (sufficient for cooking pasta) and one sized for a pint's cooking. Something in-between would be a great addition.

I did not…read morefind them professional as they represent themselves on our evaluation meeting. they start managing our property September 2024 and by the end of April we canceled the contract. in May we came to check the property and enjoy some time in Sun Valley. upon our arrival we found a trash bin full of trash , multiple lights were burned , bathroom heater on , unlocked one of the doors to the deck , smoke alarm missing in one of the bedrooms, large bathroom towels were missing, some lights left on. The last guest was in Mid February, so the bath heater and lights were running 24h for about 3 months , and nobody from the MVP noticed anything as per they contract , they check properties every week. we were charged $275 for the fall maintenance, although they did not have any guest booking yet , and when we came multiple lights were burned and our electricity bill for three months was higher for $100 a month. We contacted them as soon we arrived and try to book the appointment to discuss about this. We managed to get an appointment after few days , and the owner Rachel took the notes. I had to contact her after 5 days to follow up. I got the email the next day , and to my surprise, she found after talking to her husband and stuff the only thing they will do is about the towels. so we were charged for the maintenance and found all the stuff above non acceptable, that we have to pay extra $300 for the electricity bill , to buy new smoke alarm and install, buy the lights bulbs and change them , buy the new shampoo/ conditioners that they misplaced . we got the answer from her that we as a owner need to take care of the house ??? I thought we hired the management company!! we are so disappointed that we find that MVP was totally negligent and unprofessional regarding to resolve the issues created by their team. even the payment from only one booking that they managed, came less than what we were notified by mail that we will receive. but they came with some expense excuse, and also when I requested the list of the things that were done during the fall maintenance ( they charge $275) , was not provided, they just ignored the request. this is a just my experience as a owner who hired MVP to manage our home for rental.

We called in as we were driving towards Stanley from Craters of the Moon and realized we would not make it in time for the checkin which ends at 10pm. We asked them what was their procedure for late checkin. No other way to put it but: "We were interrogated for 15 minutes on the phone. We were told in a threatening way that we would be thrown out in the night if there are more people than the ones allowed in the rooms." There is a way to talk to people and this is not how to talk to someone who has booked 3 already paid for rooms in your hotel and are stuck in bad rain/snow weather and are requesting a late checkin. The rooms by themselves were clean. Hot water was available. No instructions were left for internet.

Our cabin was nestled right next to the river, overlooking gorgeous unbroken views of the surrounding valley and snow frosted Sawtooth mountains. At night there were millions of stars, so bright & big you felt like you could reach out and touch them. Our cabin was a delight. It was clean clean clean, brand new ultra comfy mattresses, with soft, fluffy linens complemented the rustic golden original pine walls, ceilings and decor. Intelligent planning blended the best of the old with the new. We loved having a well stocked little kitchen with all the necessary tools & equipment to help you feel comfortable if you wanted to cook. So enjoyed sitting on our personal deck, drinking the delicious coffee and nibbling on the chocolates they gave us, while watching the morning mist rise up off the river. It looked like a magical fairyland. The places to hike to were endless. We Loved the bird watching! We even hung out with a bald eagle while strolling along Redfish Lake. Highly recommend enjoying the brand new sauna. It gets HOT! Then if you're into cardiac arrest you can jump into the river or do the cold plunge barrel. The large middle cabin with its larger kitchen, rooms and spacious deck also overlooking the river, provided the perfect meeting center for our group (we varied from 10-18) to gather for meals, games and sharing the day's events. From beginning to end it was spectacular. Put this on your must do list! Thank you Levie and Stanley River Retreat for incredible experiences & memories we will treasure forever.
