Another long overdue review! A customer of mine told me about Ricky when I mentioned being interested in buying a used bike. He said Ricky was the guy to go to for anything bike related. So I picked up a 1992 Yamaha Virago not running. I was told it just needed to have the carbs cleaned. I took my bike to Ricky and he gave me the break down. He explained there was a free test he could do to see if the bike had a chance at life or if I should ditch it. Before Ricky did the test he explained if it passes, the next steps to take to get the bike running were A, B, C. He explained the pricing to me and broke it all down based on how I described to him how I wanted the bike. I left the bike with him and later that day he called me to say it passed the initial test so the bike had potential. I agreed to take the next step. The next day Ricky had my bike running! A bike that honestly I had no hope for when I took it to him. I was hopeful but filled with doubt initially, so to hear that the bike was running in a day and I wasn't in the hole for a ton of money really got me excited to get my bike back. The work I was quoted for was the work that was done. And the quote was accurate, no fishy business. Everything was itemized and matched the quote, no magic price spike here. I asked Ricky to get me new tires and change a few things on the bike, I called him many times to ask how the bike was and he always responded in a timely manner, gave me advice on what to do or NOT to do. I never felt like I was bugging him, he always took the time to speak with me. All in all I am happy I brought my bike to Redemption Cycles to have Ricky work on it. It's funny that you don't really want to have to take your bike in for work but Ricky makes you glad that you did, always a good experience. Thank you Ricky and Redemption Cycles team! My bike sat too long and it wouldn't start. I took it in and had the carbs jetted and cleaned out. While I was there they fixed my loose seat and tightened my hoses which fixed a 3 year oil leak. Took my bike back a few days later got new tires from them. Ricky texted me through the whole process and kept me in the loop on the pricing and optional services. Not sure where to start.... I've had some interesting experiences with Motorcyle repair shops over the years so my expectation level has been set accordingly. I was referred to Redemption by a friend and even thought they are a good distance from me, I decided to give them a shot with my Sons 2000 Yamaha Roadstar Silverado that was not running properly. The carbs needed to be cleaned, rejetted, the intake manifold and diaphragm were cracked. Needed to wire up a tach and fix the fuel gauge. Ricky and the Crew at Redemption have been amazing to deal with. The level of professionalism was astounding. He was very thorough, He only fixed what needed to be fixed, went above and beyond to get hard to find parts, the bike was dialed in and runs better than we ever expected. His shop is full of bad ass customs bikes and he gave me some great ideas for my 81 CB 750 Hardtail chopper and 02 custom Roadking. Ricky our guy and I wont be going anywhere else for service on any of my bikes. To say I highly recommend this guy is an understatement! read more
