Welp, I came back a week later on a Tuesday before noon and it was still crowded! I'm guessing because it's winter break but I wouldn't be surprised if it's just always packed no matter the date. A lot of the customers like sitting around chatting even when they're done with their yummy drink or snack and I don't blame them. It's just such a cozy place to catch up with a good friend. Good vibes can be felt all the way out the door. But people do leave so when you can find a spot, be sure to grab and just enjoy the atmosphere Redefined has to offer. This time around I got the lavender latte and it was delicious! Staff is super nice and welcoming. I love how they ask for your name and the person making your drink actually remembers your name when you come up to pick your drink up! I wish every coffee shop was like this one. read more

Okay, so I come here just about every day (except for Sunday because they're closed). I work in Fort Worth fairly close to Avoca (which is RE:defined's roaster) and I love it so much. I used to work for Blue Bottle (coffee nerds will know what that is lol) and I have been PRAYING for a thrid-wave place in Grapevine where I live. The town has needed a departure from the Starbucks take over. This place: Looks like.... perfection. The decor is hands down the best coffee joint I've ever been to. And as a total coffee nerd... I've been to a ton. In many states. The coffee: Well, for starters, it's Avoca beans, roasted locally, and is just great. The staff: So nice. So helpful. Great peeps. My worries for the future: I even hesitate to say "worries"... but I hope they keep up with the great practices and standard that these beans call for. Sometimes after the initial training we can get sloppy or lazy. And this coffee cannot afford that. They're keeping up with great practices so far, just hope it says! (some baristas are better than others with the steaming of the milk, but time will make everyone a rockstar) I'm only picky because I'm SUCH a fan and literally call this place my home away from home. The locals will learn that Starbucks is just not good. And they do have a burden of educating people in a non-pretentious way. Which they do great. Keep up the good work and people of yelp: I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH. JUST.....GO. read more

Located nearby Grapevine's downtown, this local coffee shop is situated in a strip of small shops that is easily missed unless you're actively looking for it. I tried coming here once on a Sunday with my sister but turned out they were closed that day. Determined to try this place, I came back another day and I was glad I did. On the outside, I had zero expectation of the place but when I walked in, I was amazed by the decors and how cute/quaint this place was. Only if I brought my studying materials 'cause I can totally see myself sitting there sipping coffee and read something. As I made my way toward the counter, I noticed their coffee beans packages had the word Avoca. I asked the barista what's up with that since Avoca is from Fort Worth. The guy told me they used their coffee which is really cool! I drive to Fort Worth often but Avoca is sometimes a little out of the way so RE:defined can be my new place for getting Avoca's coffee. I ordered a pumpkin latte which the flavor was made from scratch. I was a little sad that their "grande" was a small cup but I suppose I don't need a day's worth of sugar in one gulp. The guy was really nice with helping me pick a flavor 'cause I didn't know what I wanted except for something sweet. The coffee was super good and smooth, not leaving a bitter aftertaste. Plus, it was nowhere near as sweet as Starbucks. The price is more expensive than Starbucks so you have been warned. Overall, I love this place and look forward to coming back. read more

Beautiful spot to sit and linger over a great cup of coffee... I had the cafe con leche and it was delicious. Great, comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. I'll be in here at least a couple of mornings a week, I predict. Thrilled this place has opened. read more

You need to go just to get tips on interior design. Think of the toniest coffee shop of your dreams, multiply it by three, and you get the idea of what Re:defined looks like. Edison bulbs, leather chesterfield club chairs, huge wooden tables everywhere. This place looks like a photo shoot for Urban Outfitters themed smoking lounge. Amazing. I stopped by to try an Iced Chocolate Chip Mocha and take a few minutes to read the Dallas Observer. Ultimately my drink tasted like a huge glass of chocolate milk. I'm no coffee purist so I was kind of halfway hoping they'd have some frozen options for the summer but no. Oh well, so be it. I was a little worried about Main Street, with the new construction of a Cotton Cafe marring the mom and pop shop vibe Grapevine has going on, but a coffee place like this rightly restores that balance. read more

I love this place. It's the coffee shop that this area desperately needed. Hell. It's the coffee shop that every town needs. Great service, beautiful layout and decor, perfectly executed espresso drinks, great brewed coffee selection... I can go on. read more

Love the location! Staff is super friendly and they brew up some of the finest coffee around. The coffee house has a nice little stage for live music, with lots of seating. I indulged in the Salted Caramel latte as well as the iced chi tea latte. Both were amazing, although the Chi had a little too much of a ginger taste for me. Next time I need a coffee fix in old town grapevine, I'll be Redefined! read more

Wow, $5.00 for what I call a small mocha (they say 12oz). It tastes good, but geez...you get at least 8 more oz. with a Venti at Starbucks for even cheaper at $4.65 (and even that isn't cheap). I understand a local place will be a little more expensive, but definitely not worth it to me. read more

Every time I've visited re:defined the staff has been super super friendly and helpful. I love the cool kids hipster look and the inviting atmosphere that makes you want to hang out and chill. So far, I've only had their brewed coffee (it's a matter of taste lately) and to be honest I'm not a huge fan. It's not them its me. They brew with Avoca beans and in my opinion, Avoca's beans are way too acidic for my tastes. The coffee itself is brewed right, it's just their beans I'm not a fan of.However...I'm interested in trying their Cortado and look forward to trying it again. Maybe I just need to stick with espresso here. They have a great location: they're close to main street and all the action but with plenty of parking I definitely would recommend swinging in for a cup of coffee. Spare some time to hang out and relax. It's definitely worth it. read more

staff is friendly and these are the best baristas within 30miles. Great coffee, knowledgable barista, and they're all nice. too. I'm a barista at one of the busiest and most respected cafés in the US. I'm visiting from Philadelphia. I'm surprised but soooo happy this is here in grapevine. Trust me, most likely you really like it. this is a cafe that grapevine can be proud of. and I'm really picky about coffee and service. go have fun. espresso is great and so is the pour over. read more

been coming here for a few days as a study spot, super relaxed atmosphere with different pockets of space for different needs. areas to study, areas for meetings, and areas just to relax. Staff is super friendly too which makes it all that much more inviting. Wi-Fi is fast enough for general use. Power outlets scattered throughout so charging your laptop isnt difficult at all. read more

THIS IS THE BEST COFFEE SHOP IN GRAPEVINE... IN TEXAS... IN THE USA. No- but seriously. This brand new coffee shop opened up its doors on Main Street this year and it feels like its been there for a decade. The atmosphere is cozy, warm, and inviting. Wonderful set up- from a bar looking out the window to couches to a fireplace seating to a booth in the back that you can create privacy with curtains. Now the coffee.. THE COFFEE. Fresh beans that you can TASTE in every sip. This is high quality coffee y'all. The things you MUST get... -VANILLA LATTE: Why? They make their vanilla syrup in house and you can taste the vanilla beans. It will put every vanilla latte to shame after this. It is truly divine -ICED COFFEE W/ HAZELNUT: The robust, flavored coffee is delicious and you can taste it in each cooling sip. -Now buy a bag of coffee beans to take home with you. Go enjoy this new Grapevine hip coffee show. Now. :) read more

Great atmosphere and the iced mocha was really good. The lemon blueberry cake was really good also.

We were in town for a wedding and looking to find a decent coffee shop. Luckily, we stumbled upon Redefined. It's a truly beautiful coffee house. The interior design is aesthetically pleasing and calming with various areas for seating depending on your needs. Most importantly, the coffee was excellent, as was the quiche and muffin. The only downside (for us) was that they are closed on Sundays. We discovered this the hard way on our second morning in town and were hugely disappointed! read more

While I was in Texas I got a chance to have coffee at RE:defined Coffee House. I walked in and immediately liked the vibe. There were comfy couches and chairs to sit in and cool things to look at on the wall. Looking up was fun, too, as it was still decorated for the Christmas holiday and it was pretty. I had a cup of brewed coffee. I meant to go back and ask again what kind it was. It was their coffee of the day and all I can remember is that it was a medium roast from Central America. It was good with citrus and chocolate notes. They had a goodie case but I didn't partake. I probably should have because I drank more coffee that day than I have in a long time! I will definitely stop by RE:defined Coffee House again when I'm in Grapevine! read more

Very very nice coffee house. We always want to relax and have fun with our friends there. Recommend to everyone.

Amazing atmosphere once you come inside the strip mall. The atmosphere is the only reason they are getting a 2 instead of a 1. $5.95 for a Nitro Cold Brew...passed! Got a regular cold brew for $3.50, which turned out to be maybe half a cup of cold brew, ice, and then topped with at least a 1/4 cup of water left sitting on top. CHEAPSKATES! Cannot believe I was looking forward to coming here for 2 weeks. read more

Parking is always too crowded and the coffee house lacks the atmosphere of the old Redefined. The staff however are amazing.

This coffee house is amazing, and I sure wish I had known about it when I was still living in Texas. The drinks are spot on and never too sweet. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The chairs by fire place are so cozy and inviting. Grab a book and a cup of coffee and just relax. If you are looking for a place to meet up with a friend for coffee, sit down and study or just unwind, this is the place to do it. read more

Solid coffee spot. Strong good coffee and really nice ambience to get work done or just hang out.

What a delightful coffee shop! I love love love the modern, open concept that somehow still manages to feel cozy with all of its earth tones and wood materials. It feels instantly refreshing when you walk in the door. I've been wanting to try the V60 brew for a while, but where I'm at in Houston, I haven't found all that many that offer it. I got the Ethiopian roast and I have to say that I was beyond pleased. I want to take y'all back with me! They have the CUTEST little pigs in a blanket that were 1000 times better than any donut store. I got one plain one and one everything one. Get the everything! They also have a jalapeño and an Asiago cheese one. I also got their coffee cake, which just happens to be gluten-free (they have a nice variety of gluten-free options if you need it). I was really happy that it wasn't overly sweet. It was soft and moist, and a complementary salty flavor that went really well with the sweet topping and icing. I will be coming here regularly when I come to visit my parents. read more

Redefined Coffee House - Chai latte and coffee cake. So good!!! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Grapevine, Texas

My husband and I continue to frequent this place before work on the weekdays and it's still one of my favorite coffee places in the area. I have a new favorite go-to, the cafe con leche. I've tried a number of their breakfast pastries and have loved just about everything. My favorites are still the pumpkin bread from Pinch of Salt Pastries and the mini sausage rolls/kolaches...the "everything" flavor is the best! I recently bought some drinks here for a few coworkers that are avid Starbucks fans, and they could not stop talking about how amazing and delicious it was. I feel like a huge coffee snob saying that Starbucks isn't good, but when people actually try local coffee places like Redefined that take the time to prepare coffee right, they can tell the difference, too! Grab a drink for a friend next time to help expand the coffee snob crowd. :) read more

I'm up in Grapevine several times a month for work usually, and I had a little time to kill so I wanted to check this place out. It's on the North Main part of Main, i.e., the other side of Northwest Hwy from "downtown" Grapevine. (Looking forward to the hate mail on that description) Honestly speaking, there are some nice shops and stuff on the red headed stepchild part of GV Main...oops, sorry...anyway. Place is pretty nice for a coffeehouse. Got the neat, nouveau fireplace. Nice kinda wacky design furniture around. Good sized, good amount of seating space, but mostly geared towards the "four or more" size. Either that or they want you to invade as much personal space of the stranger next to you as you can. No big deal. Kind of a group seating arrangement tho. Perfectly dark like a coffee place should be. Another good thing, this place, as stated before I think, is avoiding the faux, bohemian hipster crowd, which is wonderful. I saw nothing more than basic, real people in here, very nice. Let the wanna be try hard's stay on Magnolia. However, getting close to the counter, I noticed they had "Avoca Coffee" signs displayed, but I was told they source their coffee from them, thankfully, not owned by them. Hey, the coffee is good at Avoca, just reference the above Magnolia statement. I was relieved this place is apparently wholly owned by someone different. People working were friendly, however the guy working the register kinda had that attitude like I was trying to steal his girlfriend or something, but that's fine. Grabbed an Americano and some coffee cake, both were really good. Not bad priced at all, around $6 I think. Americano was under $3. Place is nice, should do very well. My only dig is the seating arrangement. Only real single seating I remember is at the front window, so you might find yourself sitting in a four seat area, which means there might be some forced company issues at times. That might bother some people, but I'm usually the unclean one everyone is trying to edge away from so it doesn't bother me that much. read more

Appearances are NOT necessarily deceiving. You walk into RE:defined and you immediately feel comfortable. Sitting only confirms what your eyes have been telling you. Add great, not good, coffee and you have the makings of a very pleasant stay. Just north of Downtown Grapevine, this coffee shop is worth the few extra feet to get there. I wish you could give 1/2 stars because they deserve a 4.5 rating. The only reason I couldn't give a 5 is they forgot my order. Like true stars, they comped my drink and came by my table twice afterward to check if everything turned out ok. The last time one of the owners sat down with us and we had a great conversation. I am definitely coming back. read more

I've been so excited to try RE:defined ever since I learned about their grand opening on the So-Cal Taco's facebook page. Grapevine is such a fun area that was lacking a good coffee shop (sorry Holy Grounds, but it's true!) and RE:defined totally fills that niche. The decor is absolutely fabulous. You can read all the reviews here on Yelp, and you will still be completely gobsmacked the first time you walk in. The place is GORGEOUS, and comfortable, and completely wonderful. I wish my house was as well decorated as RE:defined. I would like to live there. The menu is great, and the baristas are all delightful. I think there were three people behind the counter when I was there, and each one of them came up to introduce themselves to me, and then remembered my name when they saw me later. My colleague and I sat outside (because the only place to sit inside was near the counter, and we were holding private meeting), and Emily came outside to check on us a couple of times. I thought that was extremely thoughtful, and showed great customer service. I think that the owners of RE:defined paid a lot of attention to detail when they were creating this space and atmosphere, and I am confident that their efforts are going to pay off in customer loyalty! The only reason that I did not give RE:defined a 5-star rating on Yelp is because of the coffee, and you need to know that this is my personal issue. They use Avoca Coffee, which is a craft coffee roaster out of Dallas. I personally do not enjoy Avoca's coffee (I also do not enjoy Blue Bell ice cream, so I'm willing to presuppose that I have not developed Texas-tastebuds), but should not detract you from trying RE:defined. It truly is a WONDERFUL coffee shop! read more

I first heard of this place from sister, who would often visit this coffeeshop to get some work done. She constantly raved about the atmosphere and coffee, so I decided to give it a try. Atmosphere: as soon as you walk in, you are welcomed by an open space with multiple tables, booths, and high top tables facing windows. The natural light enhances the well-designed space, complete with two rooms that you can book for private events or meetings. The music is not as loud, making it perfect to study. I stayed inside one of the rooms, which blocked out any noise. This provided a nice environment to study and get some work done. Drinks: I got a matcha latte and my friend got a pour over. I wasn't very fond of the matcha latte, which basically tasted like warm milk. My friend got a pour over, which was really smooth and subtle. I recommend choosing to drink from their coffee selection. read more

Love your teas. But PLEASE stay open later on Saturday nights. There were a ton of people heading outside when we showed up a few minutes before 8. They said you closed and ushered them out. I have been looking for a coffee shop like this for quite a while. The decor is something out of Novagratz (and I love it). Think pottery barn, 1978, Seconds and Surplus, and HG TV Design on a Dime had a baby, and add a hint of water pipe shelving. Servers were very excited and pleasant at 7 in the morning. The coffee has some good integrity and when it comes to the Everything Kolache, I can't even put into words how delicious it is. I may just have to get another for the road. Everyone makes you feel welcome here. When I began working in the area a couple of years ago, I stumbled upon this place. It quickly developed into my lunchtime oasis. Cat is the most inviting and welcoming person I've ever met; when my wife was hospitalized I was met with coffee on the house and a hug. Jorik did well. Don't expect things to be rushed out to you, they don't waste time...but they also make sure things are done properly. Tldr -- the atmosphere is great, the coffee is always fantastic, but the people that are there make it feel like home. If you have a few minutes, pop in and give them a try. read more
