To the point, we asked for to-go boxes and our check from the server when she served our entrees. It was too hot to actually enjoy the meal. For dinner, my husband ordered the chicken pinocchio. A generous portion. Smothered in gravy, mushrooms and onions. He said it was delicious. I ordered the appetizer mussels marinara as my Entree. Again, a large portion. Owners need to get more involved. We used to see them very frequently but have not in the last year at all in the stores whenever we were there. Cleaning hadn't been done today as 4 empty booths were dirty with the seats and table tops with food on them. Store was not very busy. Two eating when we arrived and then the group of 4 or 5 friends came in. Very disappointing but will go back because the food is very good compared to other choices we have. The broccoli was shredded crumbs. The lettuce had brown spots on it. The quinoa was cold and hard. The feta was good. The kalamata olives were good. The chicken was horrible. I'm used to a whole piece of grilled chicken, warm, juicy and cut up on my salads. This was a big container of chicken shredded up into small dued out bits. Everything was tossed for me and the somewhat creamy balsamic dressing was too briny. Thank goodness it was on the side. When I got home, I added my own avacado, tomatoes and dressing. It was dinner time. If you're going to serve this kind of food, it should be fresh all of the time or don't stay open that late, only to serve the last of what was put out in the morning. The steak was soft and juicy, and the Caesar salad was flavorful. The sweet plantains on the side just connected all the dots for me. Our server Kelly was friendly and genuine, and came to check on us to make sure everything was good. The chicken cutlet is unbelievable so I may have to try a cutlet sandwich next time I go. The restaurant is cute and perfect for a quick lunch. You order at the front and bring the food to the table. This is not a full service restaurant. The fries are also top notch and come with a fry sauce that is just perfect. If you love the fry sauce as much as I do, they also sell it by the bottle! My salad had crushed croutons mixed in with the lettuce (I'm gluten free for medical reasons) and I couldn't pick them out. Her burger was well done, no bun, and the food have her a stomachache. On top of that, they didn't give us any cutlery or napkins. Our food was given to us in black tied plastic bags, and we didn't check because we were ready to leave due to the passive aggressive hostility of the owner and the other customers eating by the bar.
