Went to Smithtown store and watched an employee behind the counter hook up friends with huge bowls of food. Obviously they were all friends. Obviously no leadership was there. My turn and it looked like my bowl was so empty when done. I know what it should look like as like I said once a week we are there. My wife up next and less than what I got. Owners need to get more involved. We used to see them very frequently but have not in the last year at all in the stores whenever we were there. Cleaning hadn't been done today as 4 empty booths were dirty with the seats and table tops with food on them. Store was not very busy. Two eating when we arrived and then the group of 4 or 5 friends came in. Very disappointing but will go back because the food is very good compared to other choices we have. Cabo needs some leadership on hand to ensure quality control of the order amounts , training and cleaning of the restaurant. Hope they read this. Again great place to eat fresh tasting food.

I typically don't eat spicy food so I asked for mild seasoning on drunken noodles and they were a bit spicy for me but absolutely delicious. I tasted my sister's pad thai and could not believe how good it was. The next time we go, I will definitely be ordering that pad thai. If you're thinking about going out for Thai food and you're in the area, definitely give this place a try. We left to go eat at the marina down the street. We opened the bags and saw that we didn't get what we ordered. My salad had crushed croutons mixed in with the lettuce (I'm gluten free for medical reasons) and I couldn't pick them out. Her burger was well done, no bun, and the food have her a stomachache. On top of that, they didn't give us any cutlery or napkins. Our food was given to us in black tied plastic bags, and we didn't check because we were ready to leave due to the passive aggressive hostility of the owner and the other customers eating by the bar. Our orders combined came out to $45, plus her tip. We ended up throwing out most of the food. This was my friend's first, and last time coming to Avino's, and this is my last time. Overpriced low quality food that the staff can't get right. Don't eat here.
