Outstanding quality service! I was waiting for my son to finish a cooking class in Orange. I'm not a local, but love to support local businesses. I needed some printing done and found RedDot on Yelp. The praise and high reviews got me! As a scattered busy mom, I wasn't thinking too clearly - just in the mode of "next task, get it done". Z was so friendly and attentive. He immediately got to work making a digital copy of the postcard I needed copied. He took such care! We get finished creating and agreeing on the best version, and he said I'll call you when it's done - 1-2 days. Oh no! I'd forgotten to mention I needed them NOW, as in within the hour. I felt horrible and offered to pay him for his time. He refused, and then smiled and said, how about 45 minutes? I found this printing business on yelp because I needed company holiday cards printed for employees and clients. Z, the owner, replied to my inquiry right away, which was nice. Initially, the job was supposed to have been completed within 2 days; I was impressed by the speed in which he was able to process my order and print everything out. However, when I went to pick up my cards, I noticed that he made some serious flaws in formatting and did a sloppy copy and paste job from what my graphic designer prepared; there were a couple of minor and easy changes that needed to be made and Z. offered to do it for me. Again, very nice of him. Essentially, he worked quickly but did a TERRIBLE JOB. So, I asked him to fix the cards and I was super understanding and nice about it and did not complain at all. Firstly, he never apologized. Second, my cards were delayed until the next day, which was a bit of an inconvenience. On my drive home, I felt uneasy and called him for reassurance and he gave it to me. Later that same evening, he emailed me the finished version but made another huge formatting mistake. So then, I texted him right away and informed him of his error to which he replied, "the cards have already been printed." I have to say, this reply made me extremely upset. As such, I laid into him and was truthful about his shoddy work and bad customer service. I told him I would not pay and that I'd post a "glowing review" for him. I was ready to never use this company every again. However, Z. redeemed himself. The third time, he sent me proofs before he printed the cards. Also, the finished product was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Further, he insisted that I not pay him and apologized for his mistake in not doing a good job and handling the situation improperly. When I tried to pay him, he refused and asked me to simply write a review for him, stating exactly what happened, to which I happily agreed. I cannot say enough about how much Z has already done for me. He was thorough, exceptionally patient with me and made sure I was 100% satisfied before moving forward. He even sensed my hesitation and encouraged me to go home with the sample he printed for me and take some time to decide on what it is I want.
