So, I checked out the new Redd Dog Brewing location today! I was on the fence because I was not a huge fan of the 6th Ave location. Definitely more positives than negatives, however, let me start with the parking. The area is not great, even though it is up and coming. There are cars that have been sitting there for months, potholes, and it's just a mess. I finally found a spot down the street and basically parked in a ditch. Not a complete deterrent, but it would be awesome if that area could be cleaned up a bit. Okay, on to the good things. It's a nice space. It's open with garage doors, so it would be perfect for a sunny day. Of course I went on a rainy day, but it was still nice! They still have their popcorn machine, so you can grab some popcorn. It's no longer pour your own drink, which I REALLY liked, but they did have 2 ciders on tap, so I tried those. The staff were very friendly. You order at your table using a QR code and your table number (as it was before). I'm much happier with the new menu. They have several vegetarian items, including two veggie tacos. I tried them both. One mushroom, vegan, and one cauliflower, vegetarian. Both tasty and reasonably priced. Also, the tortillas are delicious! My partner had the chicken tinga taco and fries. I don't eat chicken and I don't really care for fries, but he said they were fine. All in all, it was a good experience and I would go back. I'm excited to try some of the other food. My only suggestion would be to label vegetarian and vegan items. They did this with the tacos, but not with the rest of the menu. I would also add just a simple veg friendly black or refried bean taco and maybe a vegetarian beans and rice combo. I'd love to bring my daughter, but she's not as adventurous as I am. Also, no matter how many tacos someone orders, it's best to separate the vegetarian and the meat tacos on separate plates. A solid 4 stars. We will see you soon! read more
