Redan was a God send for us. My father in law had a very fast progressing type of dementia and the last time he got out of the hospital and nursing home, social workers told us he could not be alone at all. They were right, but it was hard for us because both me and my wife work. Dan at Redan helped us get someone in our home ASAP (like next day) to take care of him when he was at work. My elderly father needed some extra help. I'm a working mom so it's difficult for me to be with him all the time. I called Redan and spoke with Dan and he was extremely helpful. Hi Dan. Just wanted you to know Sireen is doing a wonderful job with Heidi. They seem to really like each other so she is providing the companionship Heidi needed. Sireen is also helping Heidi maneuver safely around her home, makes sure she eats, helps with medication management, and she keeps the house straightened up which is calming for Heidi. Last week I had to take Heidi for unexpected oral surgery which took 3 dentist visits. Heidi was really struggling to walk and climb stairs those days and Sireen was invaluable helping me get Heidi to each visit and back plus she kept a close eye on her after the surgery. The first caregiver Redan sent did not work out well for me. She had a good attitude and made an honest effort but wasn't right for my needs for other reasons. However, this is not grounds for reaching a conclusion regarding the performance of an agency because this can happen the first time any agency provides a caregiver. The important thing is that Dan used the feedback from me and the caregiver to find another caregiver that better fit my needs. The second day he sent me a caregiver, she was excellent. Not only did she have the right experience and skills to serve my needs competently, she did so quickly and with a positive attitude. Redan's fees are reasonable and competitive compared to others. I will call on Redan the next time I need a caregiver and I recommend them to others who need a caregiver. read more

My mom had a rapid decline in health and needed care that we couldn't always provide her. Dan at Redan was quick to respond to all of my questions. Within the week we had a caregiver to the house; she was kind but overall just not the right fit. Dan again was fast to respond and get us connected to another caregiver. In walked Lulu, and after her first visit I knew my mom was in the right hands. She was kind and compassionate and overall made my mom feel comfortable and loved. I am 36 years old and found myself as the one to make the decisions, keep my paycheck coming in, as well as care for my grandmother who is 92. It's definitely not easy and I've had to learn what I am willing to sacrifice for the person who took care of me. Family is important, it's the most important thing. In July, my Grandmother was admitted to Hoag Hospital, it was not good and I thought the worse. My grandmother is a fighter and she fought, but it was the time for home care. You can feel like you are doing a great job but it can beat you down, definitely choose home care as soon as you can... I wish I did earlier. Well, now it's Late October and I couldn't be happier with Redan Medical. I was referred through my uncle with his insurance contacts as well as a a caring and informed social worker. Redan is great, I'd say the greatest but I wouldn't sound serious. Dan who was my first contact was supportive and led me though all of what Redan's Home Care provided. Dan also helped me with my Grandmothers schedule on my time (Im still working full time). A schedule is the most important first step you can make, if you do it right then everything is easier. Making a set schedule specifically adjusted for your needs with timely and professional service is a game changer, again thank you Dan. Your first contact is huge in any "big" situation, Dan delivers and made it easy for me to put trust in him. Dan set up 3 days a week with a professional, confident, and intelligent care taker named Lulu. Lulu whom my Grandmother now adores sees her 3 times a week. Funds were requested in advance. Alert right there. Caregivers came on time for shift but were dressed with either bare midriff or going to a club. Nice ladies, but when cg reporting was questioned, owner was defensive and despite detailed breakdown as denoted on brochure, it was brushed off over and over. It has been since January and only the owner telling me to get an attorney. Got a mothers day card but no clarification on the excess charges to this day. Legal issues in the past, looks like he doesnt read his brochures nor cares. Never give money up front. Care business is a cash cow now, giving care of most agencies is less important than the money. Pulling workers from a pool of people not really known. Just what is put on their appl mostly. Scary. 41/2 years and it has changed badly across the board more recently. Be careful with ur family members, things arent as thy seem. read more

We contacted Redan about a year and a half ago for our Dad, who was 94 at the time. We wanted to have a home care company to use "just in case" we needed it. Our Dad was very capable and fully functioning, but we knew there might be a time when he would need in-home assistance. This week, the time came when my Dad needed help. A fall left him with a fracture near his shoulder. We contacted Dan and he was able to find a caregiver that was a great match for our Dad and he did so with only a few hours notice. We worried that our Dad would be hesitant and not willing to accept the help. Our fears were quickly dismissed after the very first time Dad met Gill. We couldn't be happier.
