One thing that seems to happen on the regular is that they don't have a lot of sizes in stock, or they have the less common sizes. However, you can easily place an order in store for the right size. The line is almost always at least 3-4 deep at minimum, with only 1 or 2 registers open. They have helped to rectify this issue somewhat by having a register open specifically for returns/exchanges and customer pick-ups. Being indecisive, I am always making returns or exchanges and it's nice to be able to walk in and return something without having to wait on the massive line. Associates are helpful. They are always willing to place an order for you if they do not have your size in stock. Make sure to sign up for their DSW rewards program so you get coupons sent to your house and email. They send a good amount of coupons that are usually good on anything.

Came into the store a little overwhelmed with my five-month-old goddaughter as she just got done crying. All employees said hello the second I walked in the store. I went straight to the counter needing an exchange, I wasn't even there for 30 seconds before an employee came to assist me. Instead of point out where the items were in the store he asked the sizes I needed and brought everything directly to me as he can tell I was flustered. Another employee was helping me with shoes and instead of telling me he didn't have the size I needed he brought out the half size up and down that he had in store. (Which I then bought) Overall my experience at this location was so amazing that I will make sure to drive out of my way to come back. Thank you for making my day!

Turns out it wasn't; it was actually $12. She just decided I needed it without asking. Definitely don't appreciate slick sales tactics like that. Don't assume all customers are clueless! Googled boot repair and Cedar Grove Bootery came up so highly recommended that I got my hopes up that these boots could be made wearable again. Well this afternoon I brought my boots to this gentleman (whose name I didn't get). The shop is well organized and of course full of boots! He examined my boots and regretfully told me that as a professional he could not in good faith recommend putting any more money into this pair of boots and that he would recommend buying a new pair. He looked at me so sympathetically-knowing I had an irrational attachment to them. He said he could take my money and repair the boots but they wouldn't last and he wouldn't want to do that kind of work. So I ALMOST asked him to repair them anyway. But when a pro is telling you your boots have died, it really is time to accept that your boots have died. I have tremendous respect for someone who has such high standards that they will turn down work if they know the result won't be up to snuff. I have ANOTHER pair of broken boots that I plan to bring there especially now that I know he is a trustworthy craftsman.
