This store has excellent customer service. I was expertly fitted and am extremely happy with my Redwing safety shoes.

The older woman here truly spoke to me like I was stupid. The store was busy when I arrived (which I know they can't control), but she proceeded to have an attitude while figuring out my sizing and while I was debating between an internal or external metguard (this was not a long decision). I am aware of the differences between them and do not need it explained to me like a child. If I'm the one doing the work, I'm aware of the regulatory requirements on what a guard is. Respectfully- you just sell shoes and are belittling. Will certainly not be returning, will be going to a different location where they don't have an attitude issue. read more

This store honestly sucks. They are only sales driven. Went through the whole process of trying on boots and being offered all the extras addons for boots to run up the bill. Upon checking out, told the guy I was a redwing customer and my number is in the redwing system. They proceeded to make another account for me.. PIA... after that I presented my union discount card through the united association of plumbers and the guy says they don't honor that UNION at all, only military. Like okay. Mentioned the redwing boots location in canton honors it and the old man proceeded to talk to the younger girl with glasses behind the counter to like team up on me to make me feel like I'm wrong about what is actually a real honorable discount. Anyways, I went to the canton store, walked in and asked for the boots I wanted and was given a union 10% off discount there not questions asked, they can even order the boots you want if they don't have it in their smaller selection/less warehouse capacity. What could improve? Don't be cheapskates, create rapport by not detracting customers based on your commissions vs discounting. read more

This store seems to always have his size and work boot in the store. Hubby use to go to the one in Garden City which was close to home. Every time he went, they always had to order his boots and it would take a week or two. This time we decided to call the Garden City store and yes we were right, they wanted to order his boots, so we called this store and they had his style and size. Horrible customer service. Fred helped me with a issue that I had with my boots and his only option for me was ship them out for a week to have them repaired. I don't have a week that I can go with out work boots. I asked for a discount on a new pair I could purchase while the boots were being repaired. he bluntly said no. as he started raising his voice with me and arguing. I would think twice about purchasing products from them, they state a year warranty, what a joke. read more

I had an issue with a pair boots that I had been trying to wear for about 2 1/2 months, I kept thinking they will break in eventually. Finally I couldn't take it any more and I took them back to the store. This was my 8th pair of the same boots. Rob ( who I assume is the store manager) asked if I had been in their size machine lately which I hadn't so he sized up my feet and found that I should have a half size bigger. They had them in stock and he exchanged them. That's the kind if service we rarely find these days. Thanks again Rob! read more

Just went in here because my boots were leaking, and the soles were worn through from working as many hrs as I do. I walked in before I could say my boots were leaking or what I was there for the old man who was half asleep got up grabbed them from my hands and took them to the back. Mind you I bought these in March I still have 3 months of warranty left. He came back with what was WD-40 on them and handed them to me. I couldn't even explain what the problem was before he was pushing me aside. My soles were wore through from work which so many of my coworkers and not to mention my brother have got replaced. I bought my boots here and all that he tried to do was push me out the door. It's not the gortex that's letting water through my boot it's the giant gap between the rubber! I love these boots but it's sad that I will now have to go to flint this week to handle my red wing buisness. He tried to sell me soles I should of had under warranty still and he looked my name up so he knew how long ago I bought these boots. I work hard for mine and it pisses me off that they treat people this way even though I've spent over 100 on their boots that didn't last a year.
