If you are old enough for alcohol, you must try their name sake creation, the Red Torch Cooler, it is so refreshing. A well balanced menu full of choices. We were here before for a group event and had a chance to taste a wide range of their dishes, everything is wonderfully flavorful. For this trip, a dinner for just the two of us, I ordered the Singapore Noodles, and my wife had the Cashew Nut Stir Fry with chicken. Both were excellent. It hits the spot right after the Guinness tour! We had had a long day traveling and headed to the Guinness tour to get that in on our first day in Dublin. Afterwards, we wanted something casual and not too fussy. We were a bit tired of British and Irish food, so we checked Yelp (of course) for a convenient well rated spot. Red Torch came up and we all decided Thai/Asian would hit the spot. We were not disappointed. I had the sampler appetizer to share with the group. I loved the variety they presented. I had the rib and a spring roll. Both were very good. We all ordered our own entrees. I had the basil curry. It was quite spicy, just the way I like it. The other couple opted for dessert. I wasn't interested in any of their selections. I did sneak a bite of the passion fruit sorbet they ordered. It was full of flavor and very refreshing. What a surprise to find good Thai food in Dublin! We ordered through Deliveroo, so I imagine the restaurant food experience is even better. We both order Pad Thai - it was amazing! Sufficiently sauced and spiced, flavourful, and the chicken was not at all dry. The spring rolls were also excellent, but the chicken satay was a bit over grilled (through the accompanying peanut sauce was quite delicious). This was the first and seemingly only Asian restaurant in Dublin. My friend and I were visiting Dublin from the U.S., specifically Seattle and San Francisco, where Thai food is top-notch and beloved. While my friend loved his pad Thai, I did not love mine. In fact, I had to use the restroom within a couple hours. What I found strange is that they didn't have pad kee mao or other wide noodle dishes on the lunch menu. I usually don't order pad Thai because I prefer wide noodles. To be honest, the lunch menu was a bit sparse. The dinner menu is more of what I'm used to in the U.S. Prices were okay since we were in Europe. We're used to cheap Thai food, like $6-8 USD per dish, at most $10 USD. Here, it was $10-12 Euro per dish, which is about $11-13 USD, and that was for the lunch menu. Dinner menu is almost double in price. The environment was nice. There weren't any other customers when we arrived, probably because we arrived right at 11:00 a.m. because we were still adjusting from Pacific time. The place filled up slowly throughout our time there. The restrooms are downstairs and can be a bit creepy at first if no one has been in the restroom in a while since the lights automatically turn on and off due to motion sensors. The motion sensors could be more sensitive because the lights did not turn on immediately when I entered. Overall I give this place three stars. It just didn't meet my expectations. read more

Having scanned what seemed like every restaurant in Dublin, my family and I settled on Red Torch for my college graduation dinner, and I'm SO pleased we did. It fell on a Tuesday so there was half price bottles of wine all night! Must thank UCD for their excellent scheduling. That deal goes Sunday-Tuesday which is fantastic! That definitely took the edge off a dinner for 8 people and we were able to relax and eat and drink as much as we liked. Our booking was very flexible as we had no idea how long ceremonies and photographs etc. were going to take so fair play to the manager for accommodating us there! We eventually rolled up around half 8 and the place was pretty full. Everyone was delighted with their meals, the calamari in particular and the salad that they came with was one of the best starters I've ever had! So so delicious and very spicy. I also had the Chiang Mai noodles which were DELISH and a huge portion. We had some of everything, including trying a few cocktails, and everything was perfect. I visited this restaurant last night with my sister for dinner (Tuesday night). The place was surprisingly busy for the early bird menu but the food was delicious. It cos €22.95 per person for a starter, main and a tea or coffee. In addition the waitress told us that they do a special offer on wine on Monday-Wednesday so all bottles were half price. For starters we had chicken satay skewers (chicken a little dry but tasy) and panko prawns which were very good. For mains we had a green curry and a chicken and cashew dish both with steamed rice. I've been there twice. One was during lunch hour and one was during the dinner hour. For lunch: the menu was okay. Less spicy food options and I even requested to have my meal extra spicer and it tasted like a mild spicy to me which was disappointing. But the food itself despite the spiciness was really delicious. Their tofu was really good. The waitresses were friendly and ensured I was been well served. Four out of five for lunch. For dinner: the menu was much better and more spicy on the menu and even had more vegetarian choices. I made a reservation online and it got through without any problem. For starter, we had vegetarian spring rolls and it was really good. For dinner, I had the spicest noodle and I don't remember how to spell it. It was really delicious. We even had a bottle of white wine dry Riesling and that tasted perfectly well with the spicy dishes. We ended our night with a yummy fruit sorbert. Five out of five for that place. The Red Torch Ginger is a wonderful restaurant, worthy of first dates and more. It has a romantic, yet modern atmosphere. The Thai food is very good but not exceptional, therefore I gave it only 4 stars. And the rating takes into account the Thai competition in Dublin, which is plentiful. It is the the best Thai food after Koh Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge, which is just slightly better food-wise in my perspective. But the Red Torch is in a much nicer neighborhood, being near Temple Bar. So for any romantic purpose I would choose Red Torch Ginger. Was here last night on a Yelp Event! It was a introduction to modern Thai cuisine and unique cocktails on a very high level! The owners Gary and Damian are impressive hosts, the food and cocktails were amazing and customer service is TOP class, I would give 10 stars if possible! Welcoming us with the Red Torch Cooler Cocktail was already impressive, a delicious Rum Cocktail with lime juice, berries, cucumber and soda - not too sweet and really refreshing! Then the feast started, a range of starters including won tons, chicken satay, dumplings etc. - the fruity peanut sauce stood out for me! Really nice combination!! The main selection was most delicate. I am going back there for sure for Tamarind Crispy Duck with Pak Choi, fried Cod with Mango Salad and the Basil and Chilli Tiger Prawns - such a flavour explosion! On an even more bright side, they do a fantastic Whiskey Sour, exactly the way I like it - with an egg white! Not many places are doing this in Dublin.. We're tryna introduce him to new foods besides meat and two and veg :) he was pleasantly surprised at the amazing Thai food that red torch ginger had to offer. The menu is huge we all had trouble even picking what to order. They do a deal up until 6 I think maybe or 7 (I'm not sure) for starter, main course and tea or coffee all for €22. It's really good value because the quality and taste of the food is unreal. The calamari starter is a must! I tried my mams and regretted not ordering it was so good. I had the dim sum also amazing. Pork belly was a small portion but just enough as it's very rich. I don't like it too fatty for me but the rest of the table enjoyed :). The Thai green curry was really good lots of flavours and that spicy after kick that I adore! I love me some chilli!! The prawns in the curry where huge and perfectly cooked. They had an almond brownie with pistachio ice cream which you would share as it was really luscious. I cannot fault any of the food everything we had was amazing. Just not five stars yet as out waitress was lovely but a bit clumsy. She forgot a few orders and mixed a lot up so we had to send a dish back and one person was left waiting without food. We also had no napkins throughout the night I sort of had to keep calling her over to ask for things that clearly should be on the tables already. Delicious food....a relatively new Thai restaurant at the end of Grafton street. For starters, I had the best Tom Kah (chicken-lemon-coconut soup) I've ever had in my life, and I've had a lot considering this is my favorite kind of soup. Amazing! And for my main, I was treated to a flavorful, aromatic curry with light pan-fried tofu. All In all, a delicious experience that I highly recommend if you'd like a nice, Thai meal at at an extremely reasonable price. Not to mention, the service was great. Excellent Thai food in Ireland. The calamari starter was flavor-able with some decent kick. The chicken wing starter was dripped in honey and paired with a soy sauce. The Tom kha soup was very filling as the broth was thicker based than many I have seen. The duck tamarind was crispy, and had some great flavor with it. Is it fair to review based only only Deliveroo delivery? Very happy with my Singapore Egg Noodles with prawns. Great for delivery too. Not so happy with the Chicken Satay. I suspect the fried skewered chicken suffer from steaming in the carton during the delivery delay, but the satay sauce is pretty crummy. Charlie Brown would not be impressed: more peanuts please. One of the best thai meals i have had. Outstanding value, the earlybird menu is super cheap and offers everything on the menu unlike most places that just offer a selection. The best part is they do amazing desserts, which is really rare for an Asian restaurant. We had satay chicken for starter, Thai red curry, both delicious and then we had white chocolate cheesecake for dessert. They also have a lovely cocktail bar. Red Torch Ginger is by far the BEST Thai restaurants in Dublin City vicinity. Their red curry is out of this world. The staff and management are always so pleasant and friendly, the decor is lovely and their location is PERFECT! I also have a lot of friends and family that live abroad and this is the restaurant I always take them. We also head here for work functions all the time as they're great at catering for large groups (as well as small parties of 2-4. I couldn't recommend Red Torch Ginger enough! We went here for lunch today. The service was very good. The menu is quite detailed and there are plenty of vegetarian options. The food is delicious. The quantity was more than enough. We had the Tom Ka, Tom yum, Singapore noodles and the Green Curry. That was plenty for the two. I will definitely recommend this to anyone and of course make more visits.
