We found this park when we were passing by. We turned around and spent three days here! Chris and Marcy have put their heart and soul into this place! They have the above and beyond hospitality as well as a plethora of information about the area and the fun adventures nearby. They have a gathering area with very comfortable seating and fire pit in the center. Great play area for children and a dog walk for your fur babies. The bathrooms and showers are cleaned daily and very accommodating to all. As you can see we have had our fill of other types of RV Parks that tend to be more concerned about the sale than the truth. This place is priceless! We rented a pull through spot with full hookups. There are adorable cabins to rent on this 12 acre pine covered area with a short stroll down to the river. Trails galore to ride and the quaint little town of Troy nearby.

We left the next morning due to the horrible sleeping conditions. At check out we requested a refund and was told "no refund", unless they rented the site during the time we paid for. We didn't receive a refund.... We used NO services for 4 nights , yet received no refund. To make us pay $230 for a one night stay is unethical and just wrong! Most places have free dumps while you are there. If you dump more than once, you'll pay extra. We do not recommend this business! ***If we receive a refund, I will amend this review accordingly***

When we arrived, not only was Steve there to show us to our spot, but several others currently staying. For our rig size, it was a close call and tight fit getting in, but once in our spot it was perfect. They got us in site 11 no problem. Is it an impersonal overly polished concrete and blacktop parking lot style RV Park with perfect level geometry/symmetry everywhere you look? No, but it was one of the best and most relaxing locations we've been so far. It's in the middle of a game preserve, so there are numerous deer routinely wandering around the area. Ahhh nature! As far as quiet goes, evenings were like a cemetery (in a good way). Just lots of peace and quiet to enjoy your surroundings. And the sunsets on the dock & beach! They are about as idyllic as you can get for lakefront property. We spent time swimming, kayaking, and just siting our on the dock enjoying the sunshine. I can speak for the internet/WiFi as we had great T-Mobile reception and so were only on our own hotspots the entire time. 60Mbit down / 8.9Mbit up. Perfectly suited to my purposes.

During the peak camping season from May through October, the prime spots in the front row with the best views are always filled up, with many guests opting to stay for the entire summer in order to fully soak up the peaceful, communal atmosphere. And the convenience factor of this park simply can't be beat, with a well-stocked gas station and convenience store right across the parking lot that not only serves up delicious breakfast to start your day, but also offers the rare and immensely valuable amenity of non-ethanol fuel pumps - a major perk for RV owners who want to protect the integrity of their engines. it's abundantly clear that the owners and management team have worked tirelessly to transform it into one of the premier camping destinations in the entire region, creating an experience that truly feels like a home away from home for those of us lucky enough to have discovered its charms. For us, the Travel America RV Park has become a cherished home base where we can unwind, reconnect with nature, and feel a warm, inclusive part of a vibrant community of fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

This small campground definitely packs a punch when it comes to customer service and cleanliness!…read moreWe've stayed at campgrounds across the country and this one will go down in the memory books as one of the best! The spots are level, that's important in a small rig like ours. The place is super clean and the bathrooms are a dream! The folks in the campground are mostly just passing through and some are there for a couple days to enjoy all the outdoor activities. Those there for awhile are super friendly and helpful, we me several in our little world of chaos! The owner though, he's the real hero of this little haven! We arrived later in the evening only to find an entire group of folks in our spot. Well, what we thought was our spot!! We called the after hours number and one of the folks actually texted the owner for us. Lo and behold, in the year and a half on the road, I had mixed up the reservation date! We were scheduled to be there the day before and they were full that night! The owner found us a spot to park though, luckily with a plug in since it was so hot!! We had a very peaceful night sleep and will forever remember his kindness! Thank you North Haven, you're one of the best!

The bed and linens were very comfortable, and the store, showers and laundry will likely be some of the nicest you'll run across in your travels. On-demand endless hot water was a favorite, for those of us that love long showers or baths. If you get to meet the wonderful owners, Munro and Rachel, you'll see why it is such a special place. Their caring, attention to detail and years of experience with luxury vacation rentals and real estate sets them apart. Nice RV spots, grounds are well maintained and beautiful. For "glamping", the Conestoga Wagons are fun, and there are actual Tipi spots coming that'll be right among the trees! Be sure to walk the nature trail through the woods when you're here. Close to town but not too close. Quiet. We've already booked our next stay, and we're picky. You'll love it!
