We stayed in the wagon and it was a fun experience! The kids had a blast and the staff was great. Great hikes and rivers close by.

The rooms are spacious with warm cozy lighting, a comfortable bed and your own private balcony with a Bistro set overlooking the water! There was a heron on a log looking for fish which kept us entertained. Excellent food in the restaurant too. We're not much for gambling but the drinks in the casino were super cheap! You can walk to the older downtown core using the tunnel under the hwy which is super convenient. Cute little shops and restaurants great you on the other side. Great little getaway!

Absolutely fantastic hotel for the tiny little town of Bonners Ferry, ID. Even though there is a…read morecasino in this hotel, the room and the public dining areas were quiet and pleasant. The front desk staff was easy to reach by phone when making reservation. We even had to call to change it because of my illness, and they made it easy-peasy. Then we needed to check-out a few days early, and that was no issues either, and no penalty. The price of the rooms were reasonable, even with the riverside view that we had. The view is stunning, with the river and the mountains. The room itself was impeccably clean and impressive. Very up to date. Each room has a small patio with a very nice table and chairs in which to sip on a beverage and chill. They have a lovely dining room with floor to ceiling windows in which to enjoy two selections for for the full-service breakfast. You also have a choice of $3 off any additional dish on the breakfast menu. We also dined outside on the patio along the river for dinner one evening with our family, who lives in the area there. The service with both our breakfast and dinner meals was excellent. Food was very good too. There is a bar on-premise in the restaurant with a nice selection of cocktails, beer and wine. The lobby of the hotel has a large rustic fireplace with a very comfortable and beautiful seating area in which to relax if you choose. There is an underpass from the parking lot to the cute historic downtown area that we took advantage of for shopping, browsing, strolling and drinks. The hotel also has a full-service spa which I wasn't aware of until we got there. I WISH I had had the time to take advantage of some pampering! We did NOT come to gamble or use the casino services, but we did stroll through the casino game rooms just to check them out. There is one room dedicated to smokers, which was very smoky and cramped. The other rooms are pretty tight with machines also. But I supposed it's par for the course. In summary, I'd travel back here just to stay at the hotel. A Fall visit would be a feast to the eyes. Don't expect much from the small downtown area, but there are a few fun places to check out. I'd recommend more time hiking the stunning trails in the nearby mountains, or checking out the local farms for homegoods. Sandpoint is only half an hour south of town if you're wanting more shopping and social options. Honestly just a relaxing weekend at this LOVELY hotel is a treat. You won't be disappointed!

I love supporting businesses like these. Kee in mind that this is an old school so it is noisy when you walk. The floors are the original from the school. When someone showers you will know. The beds are comfortable and will be provided with plenty of pillows and blankets in case you get cold. One thing i will recommend to the Duarte's is to have an area where to hang out. I mean not only the foyer where the puzzle is but may be in the foyer in the last floor? Like a small couch and a small table? We picked up some dinner - to eat at our lodging place and we had nowhere to seat and eat our food. There is outside but it was too cold to do so. Overall, it is a nice place to stay. We enjoyed it. It was very clean!

We drove from Spokane National Airport to Glacier National Park and this was a great halfway point in Bonner's Ferry Idaho. For the past three years, the B&B has been a family-owner business spanning over 3 generations. All the family members we interacted with are extremely friendly and made you feel at home. We were greeted by Jerry and Frank (the first gen of the bunch) at check-in. Jerry walked us through the property and told us more about the history of the B&B. We were also greeted with the most delicious cookies which was great after a long drive. Pool is closed sometime during September but the hot tub is open year round. Throughout the hallways and rooms, you'll see trinkets and photos of remains from the school which is really neat. The second floor used to have 2 large classrooms which have been converted to 6 rooms, each with their own bathroom suite. We stayed in room #7 which was the 'french theme' but Jerry told us they are converting to a 'geography' theme by next spring. The room has very high ceilings and there's a TV with Netflix available. Breakfast started at 8:30AM and you're seating based on your room number in pairs. We were served by the 2nd and 3rd get family members with coffee, orange juice and a delicious breakfast of egg quiche, fruit, and a homemade cinnamon roll. It was delicious! Northside B&B is also very conveniently located to downtown Bonner's Ferry - only about a 10 minute walk. We made our way down there to walk through the street before taking the second half of our drive. Overall it was such a lovely stay!
