Stayed here while on a business trip to Eureka, and we couldn't have chosen a better place! Our room that was one of eight in a building that had a large common living area in the center. The room was spacious, clean, with a nice view, large bathroom area, and a fridge, coffee machine, and free water & assorted beverages. It was also in a building that was centrally located -- near the fitness area and across from the clubhouse which has the restaurant and the gift shop. The staff there was incredibly nice, particularly Brandy at the front desk and Tina at the restaurant -- they were helpful, friendly, and very efficient. The bar had a great beer & wine selection, and the food was delicious -- breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A great experience all around! read more

Course was in great shape and everything was at the level you would expect for the price you pay. While it was expensive the little things go a long way to set this club apart. Immaculate restrooms on the course and in the clubhouse as well as reasonably priced food. Our food took a little longer than expected so they offered to bring it to us on the course. Not something I was expecting but certainly appreciated. There were two separate marshals on the course the day we played and helped my duo to play through back to back foursomes in front of us. Overall great service and place to get away. I hope to be back in the future. read more

We sat on their outdoor patio which was so nice. Looking at the golf course and having a great meal made a perfect day. After paying for and starting a $256.00 USD round, it started pouring rain a couple holes in. Based on the price, we kept playing hoping they would give us a rain check. They sent the marshals home, but didn't give us a rain check or even attempt to make it up to us. Waited 30 minutes at a single hole behind a group of EIGHT who claimed the club house allows them to play as 8. They were slow, hanging out and had no etiquette. There were no marshals to speak with. Forced us to skip a hole to keep on track with speed of play. Spoke to the pro shop after the round, they did nothing to make up for it. Waste of money - course was okay, but there are PLENTY of better courses to spend money at. Will never play this course again, what a disappointment this course and the staff were. Ok so I admit that the first time I went to Wilderness Club about a year ago I had mixed feelings... the setting was gorgeous but the staff was not very helpful. That was during COVID. Roll forward a year, and boy what a change! I have now been there twice in two months and even bought a piece of land to develop there, that's how much I love it. Here is what I encountered... First of all, I'm not a golfer. My family and I were looking for a break and vacation. The first time, I stayed at the main lodge. Accommodations were ok. Two queen beds per room with a bathroom. Four bedrooms per side of the lodge (two sides total) with a nice communal area in the middle that has a gorgeous fireplace, living room and dining table. I had to ask for my room to get cleaned which during COVID was a pain and they didn't seem to have enough staff to accommodate. Things have really turned around. The last two times I have stayed in cottages instead-- I highly suggest going this route! The bedrooms are just as roomy as the rooms in the lodge but they are full cottages with private kitchens and living rooms and gorgeous private decks that have dining table, BBQ, and jacuzzi. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are well stocked. The kitchens have everything I've needed to cook (minus food-- but the store is just a few minutes of driving away). Most importantly, you go there for the setting. It's special. The wilderness club is set in the middle of mountains, at the foothills of Glacier National Park... so much sky, lakes, nature-- there are deer and wild turkeys walking around. The setting itself is peaceful, quiet, restocking. The people there are friendly-- everyone waves as you walk by. The staff is attentive and bends over backwards. If you get to chat with the owners of the resort, you will see that they are passionate about what they are building-- a luxury resort in the middle of one of the most stunning natural areas ever. And they respect the land, the people, the setting. During the summer, there are tons of activities for families. When we were there last week, there was live music at the Club during dinner. And on Fridays they set up for movies in the meadow where they roast marshmallow and show family friendly flicks. Nearby is the town of Eureka (5-10 minute drive)-- which has a charming little downtown with old fashioned looking stores. There's a couple of stores that sell local produce and meats. I loved it so much I decided to buy a plot of land there. I want my kids to go back for years, to experience what it's like to disconnect each summer, to make friends and run around in the grass and fields. You will spend your days taking in the beauty, talking walks, leaving electronics behind. This is a place you come to restock your soul. read more

This resort is beautiful! We went here last weekend and stayed in a White Pine Cottage. It was beautifully furnished and the kitchen amenities were perfect for cooking meals. The rooms were all nice and the back patio and Traeger for smoking meats were awesome! We had a fire pit and a cedar jacuzzi tub too, which left us breathless under the night stars! Beware, there are a lot of flies and other smaller blue bugs, but no bites all weekend! We missed the pool by a few days and the spa was closed, but my husband and his friend were able to get a round of golf in! We also rented golf carts one day just to drive around the property and it was so cool seeing deer everywhere! The restaurant also recently opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner, although we only had a chance to try breakfast to go. The loco moco was pretty good and my friend had what she described as the best eggs Benedict she ever had! The staff were all helpful and friendly. We definitely wouldn't mind coming back again after they build out their village and more lodging! read more

The scenery is second to none but they club will change your tee time without informing you, there is more sand on the greens than in the bunkers, the main lake on the property in not much more than a weeding mess with a beach that you have to walk through at least 10 yards of mud to get to the water only to be amongst weeds. The beach is also full of weeds. In fact the invasive weeds on the property indicate a lack of care. There is scorched earth where the new clubhouse is going, but that has been scraped for years with no signs of anything being built. A sign saying Future Village Core looks like it has spent 10+ years The greens are massive and there is no indication of front, middle, or back. All flags are white and nothing tells you the pin location. New fleet of carts without GPS! $80 course near by has gps. Doing so here would prevent people from taking carts wherever they want to, like the only walking path on property. Staff here are simply not good. I had a staff member yell at me for taking digits on the practice chipping green. My "divits " were scraps of the grass right under the ball! For those that want to do whatever they want on the course this is the place to be. After navigating 2 marshals on the 1st hole you are free to do whatever you want. Outside alcohol is ok, guys carry cases of booz from their cars and the staff even will help you load it into your cart. You ca start as a 4 some and then combine groups out on the course. I had a group of 15 people in front of me, took 30 minutes to play 17 and they let us "play through" on 18. Told the staff and their reaction was yes people do that. From the "resort". There is 1 court the can become basketball, tennis or pickle ball. 1 court for all three activities, not 3 courts. The court only works for basketball as there is a weird cover that makes smaller balls, like pickle and tennis, bounce weird. You take your chances as to when and if the restaurant will be open. The pool are has a capacity of about 60 - 70people, there are about 150 families that own property! The lake and beach are unusable, they do not even have the water toys out and available. Was told they stock the lake with fish but I can't imaging a fish being able to live in it. Looks like a place for leches, frogs and salamders not fish. The only walking area on property is the road and a small loop in the sports park, but keep your head up as there are blind corners and golf carts can go ripping around those corners and again when you tell staff what's going on they shrug their shoulders. There is no spa, when there was one it was a tent not a spa, the fee was 5* though. Very little has been invested in the golf course for the last 10 years. Fixed the pond on 16 to always hold water, it was completely dry a few years ago. The pond on 12 is now disappearing, water levels are very low, on par with Wilderness "lake" where the "beach" is. I have been to a few 5* golf resorts and this is NOT one of them. From amenities to customer service to the state of the course, this is not a 5star resort. The only 5* thing here is the price. Golf will run you $175+ per player, they do give you 2 bottles of water with no ability to buy anything on the course though. If you are the only one in the cart they may take away 1 of your bottles of water. It was a spectacular place and one would think that with the volume of new homes you would think they would be spending something on the corse and amenities for this growing community. From what I see they only thing they are doing is adding more lots, not investing in the resort part just in the homes. read more

This is an out of the golf destination and it is worth the trip. They are lacking on signs and two out of three cars got lost for about 2 hours. Meant by a very wonderful lady that guided us in. City folks used to signage. The accommodations were great and super clean and very upscale. The most comfortable beds I have ever had away from home. Due to China virus very limited food service. Ate in town. But the golf is to die for. Number one rated public course in Montana and I would not doubt that. It is only 10 minutes to town that has most of what you would expect. Lots of mountains and outdoor recreation. And I should add there is are reason they call this town Eureka. Super picturesque. If you don't like this place, the people or this area your life must really suck. read more

I would've gone 0 stars but it's not an option. paid $129 for a round of golf after the greens had been verticut. We were given no warning. On top of that the greens had enough sand on them that you couldn't tell they were greens from the tee boxes. the deli was not open on a Friday. The course was amazing up until a few years ago and has slowly gone downhill. read more

We played golf today and had a wonderful time. The course was in amazing shape, especially for the heat they've experienced. The only negative thing I would say is there was no map and we were guessing at where to hit. However, that negative is very minor. This is a bucket list golf course! This resort is beautiful and the staff and amenities are top notch. Our 14 person wedding party enjoyed our stay and took full advantage of all the amenities including restaurants and golf! Warning!!! Brown outs in the area have damaged the AIr conditioning system and our room was 81 degrees when we got back from a late dinner. There was no one to help us and so my family and I tried to sleep in vain in the sweltering heat. The completely impersonal and unhelpful GM's response was, "sorry for the inconvenience, but we are not willing to help you in any way"! He delivers that message through his staff who appeared to be appalled by the lack of customer service shown by their boss. This place is too magical to be marred by such disinterested management. It's a shame. Our issue was not isolated as numerous people in our party were also affected by the faulty AC! Hopefully TWC will get this fixed soon and replace their uncaring GM too! read more

This place is exquisite, serene and beautiful. The views and layout are amazing. The golf is fair but challenging with many elevation changes. When you are here do not skip the Wilderness Grille. We've had the pleasure to dine at the Wilderness Club Restaurant a couple of times in the last few weeks. We've enjoyed the crispy green beans, the lettuce wraps, and the crispy shrimp as appetizers. All were very tasty with great flavorful dips/sauces. The sirloin dinner, the Panko crusted chicken (served with mashed potatoes and cream sauce), the truffle pasta and the lamb chops arrived with artistic presentation and were all delectable with just the right seasoning! The Bananas Foster cheesecake was a sweet ending to a delicious evening! John and Cheryll are both very personable and excel in customer service. It's been a pleasure getting to know more about these two chefs who traded Las Vegas for the Wilderness Club! We'll be returning soon! Lots more on the menu to try! read more

I will never be back. While it is very pretty, and a lovely location-- Deluxe Cottages have NO soundproofing from the common area. When someone else has that space - you hear EVERYTHING- coughing, the plates clinking, the microwave dinging, as well as, them talking - you can follow their conversation-- which when you are coming to get away -- really ruins the stay. The staff asked the neighbors to be quiet -- but it wasn't our neighbor's fault - it is clearly the architecture of the space. So if you come rent both sides of the cottage and bring friends. The staff was not very empathetic nor helpful in solving the problem-- so we left early and lost $265+tax -- I wasn't going to stay and suffer. read more

We had looked in the area for a large lodge rental for a group of friends to come and rent for a vacation and discovered this hidden resort. Located in Eureka, MT, it is more like something you would find in CA for certain amenities. It has a beautiful pool area, waterslide, lake, bikes, paths and so many other things that are hard to take advantage of completely. Positives: The Lodge was roomy, set up well. The kitchen was fairly well stocked with dishes which made food prep simple. The beds were comfortable and convenient. The setting is absolutely beautiful! Negatives: There was very poor communication on pricing, and expectations of guests as well as what was included or not included. We did not take advantage of several amenities as we were afraid of extra charges. There was no guest binder in the lodge to give us instructions. When we called for more supplies, we never did get any more garbage bags or things like dish soap. There were brooms, but no dustpan. There was no place to place garbage that we found on the property, so we hauled it out ourselves to the green bins. When we arrived, the smell of propane was very strong, which can be normal at times in a home with gas appliances, but this was exceptionally strong. I checked to be sure that there were carbon monoxide detectors as required by law, and none were to be found. We called for maintenance. When he came, he said he didn't see a problem. When asked about the detectors, he shrugged and said, "Guess there aren't any." We went to town and purchased one, but realized that a home this size should have at least one of every level. We notified the management upon leaving, which they gave us the $24 off our bill for the purchase, but made excuses about it. We left windows and the fan on the whole time we were there to keep the smell down as well. Small things could use to be repaired in the home, like the faucet was very loose, the dishwasher hard to open and there was tea, but no tea kettle or hot water kettle. Those were small items. There was a three person room and only a set of towels for one person in each. There was a fireplace, but no wood and the outside fireplace had melted electrical switches. When we went to pay, they also refused to honor the original price we were quoted when we had booked almost a year and half before our stay. They added extra fees onto the stay, which was not honest and felt a little shady. I think had it been explained better, apologies were made or even more checking, we would have felt better. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, but for the price we paid, I expected much better service and for things to be a bit more communicated clearly. Would I stay here again? Possibly if the same people were coming, but likely I would be looking for different accommodations where I felt like I was heard on my concerns about safety. We did love the pool and the beauty of the place, and the roominess of the lodge. In that, I would highly recommend it. read more

This is probably the most laid back place in Montana. Friendly staff who try to accommodate your every need. Golf course is superb!!!! Greens were super fast and smooth. The risk reward layout rewards the brave but punishes the misses. Plays very well to the conservative player but also can deal out punishments for missed shots. That's what makes this Montana's #1 golf course. Food is fantastic in the restaurant. Driving range, putting green, pitching green all free pre game. Water on the cart made this a great experience. Rooms are the best, my wife wants to take this king size bed home. All staff seem friendly and happy to help wherever they could. Mower guy even got off to help me find a ball!! We stayed here in June 2021. The place we stayed in was pretty nice, the kids loved the pool and the views were beautiful. I think it's really important for people to know that this is NOT a resort...it doesn't have resort amenities. I feel like they are misleading in how they market this place. They don't clean your rooms, they don't have room service, there's no pool service, etc. They have one restaurant on property and it was actually shut down for the three days that we were there. We had to run to a grocery store (and your options are pretty limited out there) to get food. We were not expecting that at all, and I think we should have been given a heads up. They are very very understaffed. The few times we were in their main club house their phones were literally ringing off the hook with very upset people calling to complain or check out early. They didn't have any availability in any of the programs they market like the kids club or horsebackriding...the spa was closed when we were there (it's just a tent FYI). I know there's a great golf course, but if you're not a golfer there is literally nothing to do other than go to the pool. Just be warned. We also talked to so many people that were staying there with horror stories...one large group booked one of the big cabins on-site and there was a bat infestation (in the house with bats and bat poop everywhere!) - they didn't have adequate room to put them together somewhere else. Another family brought their large dog after verifying multiple times that it was acceptable, only to be told upon arrival they couldn't stay at the house that was reserved for them with their dog. The customer service was basically non-existent. Also, just a heads up to those traveling with kids...the water slide is NO joke and there's no lifeguard on duty. The kids just go down, not following the rules...it's a huge liability, our daughter got hurt and someone will get seriously hurt (if they haven't already). This place could be great, but there's many reasons why it's not. If you are looking for a resort atmosphere, definitely go elsewhere. I'm shocked at the number of positive reviews and that anyone finds this place acceptable. read more

We were in Eureka visiting a friend and he took us to their clubhouse for dinner. The chef came out to our table and recited the menu to us. When we were served, we were blown away with the quality of the food. It was a solid 8 anywhere and a 10+ for MT. Great food and service. read more

Stayed here for 3 nights on their Discovery tour starting Memorial Day. We mostly were here for the golf. The golf course was in great shape, well kept up, but a challenge with water hazards and many large sand bunkers. The scenery from the course was beautiful. All golfers played in electric power carts. The course would be a challenge to walk. My wife and I would come back for the golf because of the quality of the course. Golf green fees could be pricey, but there are groupons available online to cut the cost. The deluxe room we stayed in was comfortable with a refrigerator and coffee maker. There was a large common area but very few guests. We had some meals at the clubhouse grill which is the only place to eat on the property. For breakfast, the only offering was bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, toast and some fruit or combinations thereof. The coffee was quite weak. The price for breakfast was inexpensive. The dinner menu gave gave better variety. I had babyback ribs which were dried out from overcooking. It did come with a good spiced apple coleslaw. My wife had grilled trout served on a bed of rice which was ok, but bland tasting. Wine was available. Beer only by bottles. Dessert was limited to ice cream (Blue Bunny or possibly Dreyers brand) only with a choice of sauce topping and whipped cream. The prices were average. Overall the food quality was fair. There was a mandatory Discovery Tour to sell vacation home ownership here. We turned down any offers made to us. The main criticism with the property was the lack of people. The homes built there seemed mostly empty and there were not many homes that have been built. Other than the golf course, the property has very little development. There were probably only about 25 golfers a day on the course. There were very few diners in the grill. The pool and water slide were unused. This made for a nice,very quiet vacation, but financially, I don't see how this resort will survive long term. Also, don't vacation here around Memorial Day as the pine pollen was plentiful. Maybe that is why it was quiet. read more

We came here because of the 5 stars given by customer from NYC, but we're terribly disappointed. The service was bad; our orders were incorrect and incomplete. I ordered the chicken wrap and was served a chicken burger. He ordered the chicken/bacon salad and it didn't come with bacon. Both the chickens were made of processed meat, vs actual chicken breasts. The fries were surprisingly good. Wouldn't come here again.... Out of the way and unimpressive. Go to downtown Eureka for Cafe Jax instead. read more

A great trip to a truly golfer's course. The staff were absolutely first rate, the course is in great condition and the rooms were comfortable, in fact, the bed was one of the best ever. The only thing that stops this from getting its fifth star is the lack of people and other amenities. I think they need to figure out a way to attract the locals. It's unfortunate that our trip ended in disappointment by the lack of training and organization with their management and front desk team. We bought a vacation package at a boat show in Utah for 3 nights, 4 days, and a $250 credit towards recreational activities. We were emailed a receipt with no information attached to it other than what our down payment cost. (Weird, but not a big deal.) We were only sent home with a brochure for the resort with a phone number. We called to set our reservation and we were told that they had no information about our purchase but that they would make accommodations. Three days before arriving, we called to confirm our reservation and were told they still had no information about what we actually purchased, they only saw we paid our initial downpayment and that they weren't even sure they were at a boat show in Utah selling vacation packages that year... . I told them everything I'd remembered about what we'd purchased and they said they would just have to take our word for it and followed through with the reservation. Upon arrival, we were told in order to use the $250 credit we needed to just let them know what we wanted to put it towards. We did exactly as we were told and went about our vacation. At the end of our stay, we planned to depart very early in the morning and called the front desk the night before to let them know our plans and ask what they would like us to do for checkout. The gentleman working the desk said it was no big deal and just to leave the key in our room with the door unlocked as nobody would be in the office to check us out that early. We did exactly as told. When leaving to return home we found that the $250 dollar credit had been billed to our bank account and that they would refund it after we left. This was not what we were told. Since we were told it was a credit to us and all we had to do was give our name when wanting to use it, we didn't budget our vacation fund for the $250 credit causing our account to then go negative accruing $175 in overdraft fees. When calling to get this resolved, I received no empathy toward my situation and was told that this is a common practice for resort credit, and that I would have to call my bank and resolve it myself. They said that what happened has happened and there is nothing she would do about my now $175 dollar bill other than having us call our bank to then have them call her to go over the charges. Even more, in that same conversation the lady working the front desk that morning had no notes from the night staff that we were leaving early and she was confused saying we hadn't checked out. This further shows a lack of organization and communication. We would have been fine with the initial credit charges to our account if this was how they wanted to handle it. The problem is we were not told that this is how the resort credit is handled, and it is not our job to know that this is a common practice amongst resorts. We now have additional charges that we are responsible for that should not have been charged in the first place. What is unfortunate is that we absolutely loved the resort and had an amazing time using the facilities. But after our experience and confusion with our reservation, credit, and personal money, we will hold off recommending the purchase of real estate, as we were intending, or visiting this resort to colleagues and family until we see effort for a resolution. read more

It was a highly rated course for their stay and play package. We were unfortunately in the same building as another group decided to party well into the am. I called the only number that I had available at 12:30am and was told that it would be taken care of. Nothing was taken care of, in the am the club said that because I never called back that they felt it was dealt with!!! After all of this the Wildwrness club charged me full rate. Fantastic relaxing getaway. Everyone there are friendly and professional. Great golf. Best that Montana has to offer.

I'm from out of town. Compared to what else is around in this area, this place really is as good as it gets. I don't mean that in a negative, "this is all you got" kind of way, it's actually a pretty solid club house grill and bar. Housed in the same building as the Wilderness Club's pro shop, the grille features two big flat screens, a small 3 chair bar, 7 or so tables, and some out door seating available. Lots of earthy wood tones all over with a pale gray sky colored wall. Beer selection isn't bad, but could be better. It may be a North West thing, but I see a lot of these Budweiser Chelada, Limerita, etc versions everywhere, including here. New Belgium Fat Tire Amber is the closest thing to a local craft from what I saw. No draft, only bottled. There's a local brewery in town, but they don't serve any of it here. I haven't had the pleasure of the experience yet, so this may not be a bad thing, so I won't deduct points for it. Bartender was very friendly, as most small town locals seem to be, same as the chef. Coming from the NYC area, the food prices here are very a bargain, though I expected a pricier menu based on it's location at the end of the golf course. I had a standard burger and fries, a small town staple anywhere in the US. I wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked, but it came out delicious. Not a huge burger, but the fries were plentiful and yummy. After hanging out at the bar for a while, I've picked up that other popular lunch items are the quesadilla and wings. There are 3 different food menus, one for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Not all items are available all day. Overall, if you're in the area, you won't find better than the Wilderness Grille. read more
