Chicken parm sandwich, garlic knots, strawberry Nutella pizza, pineapple soda, watermelon soda, and apple soda.
    A S.

Chicken parm sandwich, garlic knots, strawberry Nutella pizza, pineapple soda, Black cherry soda, and watermelon soda. All cooked to perfection! I was craving chicken parm. You can never go wrong with their garlic knots. My bae wanted to try the Nutella strawberry pizza and variations of soda. I hopped along for the ride without disappointment. Not your typical love story, but it definitely had a happy ending.

I've been here several times over the years, but this was my dad's first visit, and it did not disappoint. We started with the bison tartare, scallops with sweet potato purée, and the meat and cheese board. Every appetizer was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The scallops were perfectly cooked, and the charcuterie selection was excellent. For entrées, we shared the wild boar ragù, pumpkin ravioli with sausage, and the ossobuco. Each dish showcased the restaurant's attention to detail and commitment to quality ingredients. The wild boar ragù was rich and comforting, the pumpkin ravioli struck a great balance of sweet and savory, and the osso buco was tender and flavorful. Our waiter was fantastic, offering thoughtful wine pairing suggestions that complemented the meal perfectly. I make a point to come back at least once a year, and every visit reminds me why. Consistently phenomenal food, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Located along State Rd. 7 (441), Mannino's Pizza is a small restaurant offering a variety of dishes for dine in, take out, and delivery. They also cater. There was a group of people dining inside when I entered. I asked a male employee for a take out menu to place my order. The shrimp parmigiana with pasta sounded real good. The dinner entree was served with my choice of soup or salad and garlic rolls. The soup wasn't listed on the menu so I asked what kind of soup do they have. "Pasta fazool", he said quickly. Pasta what? "Pasta fazool", he repeated. He had that real New York/Italian accent. Seems like that was the only soup they had...hope I like it. It was a bit of a wait, but I didn't mind sitting in such a relaxed atmosphere. As I reached home, I went into the kitchen to taste test the food. Here are my thoughts: Garlic rolls - a little oily; but was warm, soft, and lightly covered in minced garlic and herbs...yummy Realizing "pasta fazool" was Pasta Fagioli - very hearty soup full of pasta, beans, and tomato Shrimp Parmigiana with pasta - a dish I thoroughly enjoyed. Pasta was al dente and covered in a delicious zesty tomato sauce. Shrimp was breaded, cooked nicely, and topped with same zesty tomato sauce and covered with cheese. The whole meal tasted like it was cooked to order, which now I didn't mind waiting for 30 minutes...was well worth it.

While visiting the Fort Lauderdale area to see my girlfriend, she insisted on taking me to her…read morefavorite Italian restaurant. She's lived here her entire life and is very particular about where she eats. She says a lot of her longtime favorite restaurants have really gone downhill over the years, so I was excited to try one that has remained consistently good. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza, which is pretty common in South Florida. Once you walk inside, though, you forget you're in a plaza. It's beautifully decorated with a warm European feel that makes it inviting and cozy. It's a good-sized restaurant, and my girlfriend mentioned it's usually packed. Since it's currently the slower season, it wasn't as busy, which is a little sad to see, but hopefully business picks back up when the snowbirds return. We were seated right away, and our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. The menu had an incredible selection of authentic Italian dishes, along with several specials listed on the board that all sounded amazing. We decided to share the meatballs and the Bolognese, and that ended up being the perfect choice. I also ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio. At $15 a glass, I definitely cringed a little because I always think about how the whole bottle probably costs around $20, and one glass is never enough! They also brought out fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Let's just say I ate far more bread than I planned because there was absolutely no way I was letting any of that incredible meat sauce from the Bolognese--or the rich sauce from the meatballs--go to waste. The food was absolutely spectacular. I honestly can't say enough about how delicious everything was. Every bite tasted homemade and full of flavor. For dessert, I skipped the sweets and ordered an espresso martini instead. They did a fantastic job. The last upscale restaurant I visited in West Palm Beach served one of the worst espresso martinis I've ever had, proving that just because a restaurant is expensive or considered "high-end" doesn't automatically mean the quality is there. This restaurant absolutely delivered on both the food and the cocktails. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience. This is definitely a restaurant I'll be coming back to whenever I'm in the Fort Lauderdale area, and I can certainly see why it's one of my girlfriend's favorites.

I had enjoyed this restaurant in the past and had recommended it to others, which makes this review…read moreparticularly disappointing to write. During my most recent visit, I ordered the lamb lasagna special at my server's recommendation. The dish simply wasn't to my taste, so I chose not to eat it. I never complained, never asked to speak with a manager, never requested that the item be removed from my bill, and never asked for any compensation. I fully intended to pay for my meal and continue enjoying the evening. The situation only became an issue because the staff repeatedly asked why I hadn't eaten the dish. I answered honestly and respectfully each time. When asked whether I wanted the meal boxed to take home, I clearly said no. Despite that, the dish was boxed and brought back to my table anyway. What should have been a simple matter of personal preference became an uncomfortable experience. Ignoring a guest's clearly expressed wishes made me feel dismissed and embarrassed in front of the friend who was dining with me. The problem was never the fact that I didn't enjoy one menu item--it was how the situation was handled afterward. After my visit, I sent a respectful letter to the manager and both owners explaining exactly what happened. I wasn't seeking compensation--only the courtesy of a response and the hope that the experience could serve as constructive feedback. More than a month has passed, and I have received no acknowledgment whatsoever. Restaurants occasionally miss the mark on a dish. What distinguishes great hospitality is how guests are treated when that happens. Unfortunately, the handling of this situation, followed by complete silence after my letter, has left me unable to recommend this restaurant or return myself.

The ambiance gives off fancy, but the food wasn't worth the prices. I will say that their bruschetta is fantastic (did not take a photo). The large pieces of shaved parmesan with the pungent garlic mixed in the tomato and basil was delicious. I also really enjoyed my espresso martini (did not take a photo). The soup I ordered took forever to come out (did not take a photo). As we were waiting for our food, two tables surrounding us sent their food back so that worried us. As a result of that, it felt like it took longer than usual to get our meals since I'm sure the kitchen was scrambling to re-fire the meals sent back. My boyfriend ordered the lamb special and I went with the rigatoni alla bolognese. He enjoyed the lamb, but I was not impressed with the pasta. It wasn't horrible, but the pasta did not taste homemade or worth the money. Server seemed bored and uninterested. Did not offer to make any recommendations, but did give us free dessert of our choice for my boyfriend's birthday, so that was nice. The owner and other members of the staff personally delivered the complimentary key lime pie and sang him happy birthday. Would I return, nah.
