I brought my truck here with 4 rims and tires to mount on truck, but switch the tires on the truck to the new rims. did not get a quote, nothing, I figured it would be like 100 to 150. when they were done the guy in the office says I owe him 288.00 !! I said are you joking around ? he said no, thats what it costs ! so almost 300 bucks to change 4 tires. and they did not even swap my center caps, i had to do that whenI got home. the guy is a thief ! read more

The only place to go for tires!!! The only place to go to fix a flat. They come out and fix your flats right away, longest I've waited was 15 mins. Pricing, service, and friendliness all top notch. Two or three guys doing tires and repairs always there, just drive up! Always friendly and never try to sell you new tires if you don't need them or scare you. I've had Red Stone fix several flats and leaks over the past couple of years because it is close to home. Although I was hesitant since I've heard 2 stories of tires actually falling off after they were serviced here. Recently I had another slow leak. I felt the previous plug in picture and thought it was a foreign object in my tire or the plug coming out. They assured me this was fine but there was a different small leak which they plugged. Shortly after, tire was leaking again. This time I decided to go somewhere else. I wasn't shocked when I was told the plug in the pictures as actually illegal. They were surprised the tire didn't blow on the highway. This was scary to hear and made me angry. I will not go here again or recommend since they do not have your safety in mind. They also charge $20 each small patch/plug. Many shops will do this for free. read more

I was on vacation and my low tire pressure light came on. I checked the pressure of all my tires and noticed my rear tire was low and had a nail stuck in it. I certainly didn't want to drive home with the spare donut so I needed to get it fixed before my vacation ended. I looked on line and saw Red Stone with a few favorable reviews. My husband took my VW here to get new tires put on it. The tires were competitively priced and we're installed relatively quickly. However, 3 of the 4 center caps for my alloys were damaged to the point of having to be replaced. The center portions with the VW logo were cracked on all three, and one had a hole in the plastic surround. We are quite sure they were not damaged before hand because we had just replaced them with new OEM center caps. When we picked the car up we were not notified that the car had been damaged by any of the staff. The only explanation I can come up with for the damage is that a mallet or hammer was used to reinstall the center caps. If you have steel rims this shop would probably be okay. If you have rims you care about you'd be better off finding a more honest and detail oriented shop. read more

During a storm, the road to my home had flooded and I hit a pothole UNDER the water. It popped my tire. Well, I made it home, put on a donut spare the next morning but faced the recently-announced statewide shutdown of all non-essential businesses due to the corona virus. Thank God Red Stone Tire was open! I pulled up and the boys were outside and called me over immediately. Saw the donut, asked if I wanted a set of tires but being out of work with no unemployment yet, I said I only can grab one for one. 15 minutes later, all my worries were gone! These guys treated me like a king, put everything back in my trunk...including undoing my sissor jack and putting it back in the case. It was like it never happened! Pleasant, courteous, professional...and Carl the owner consistently offering support should I find anything afterwards. These guys literally put a huge smile on my face that morning! Great local business to support. Don't drive to Town Fair, stay right in Westerly. They took the time to help me get the perfect wheel/tire combo. Very fast and friendly. When my TPS sensor tripped the next day, they reset the sensor in minutes- in and out. Prices are reasonable, work is carefully done, and it's done in a very acceptable amount of time! One hour into a drive home for a family funeral, my tires blows, completely shreds. I'm disoriented and in an awful mood, so I did a search for a local tire place. Red Stone was closest. They helped me though everything calmly and quickly. They set me up with a tow company and then when I got there, they replaced my tire in about 20 minutes. Was spending weekend in Westerly when I ran over something that caused the tire to go flat. We immediately looked on yelp and found Red Stone Tire and Auto. They were a little busy but, I was told it would only be a few minutes before they could look at my tire. After about 10 minutes they had me pull over to a different area and they proceeded to plug the tire and re balance it. the whole experience took about 1/2 hour. Everybody was friendly and professional Even when I asked the person fixing the tire if he could check the pressure in my other tires he happily did. read more

I have never written a Yelp review but thought these guys deserve it. I was the "pain in the butt" customer that drove his Airstream trailer into their parking lot then jacked up the trialer, took the wheels off and had new tires mounted and balanced. They were kind enough to lend me tools when my tire iron did not fit in the alloy wheels. The mechanic located the perfect metal high pressure valve stem, then brought out his torque wrench and torqued the lug nut down for me. All at a great price. Thanks! Went in for a slow leak I had in my tire that I'd had for a while. Walked in and was in and out in 15 min. Left and went to the gym, then drove home only to get out of my car to hear a loud hissing noise. Immediately went to check the tire to see if something had gone wrong with the repair or something. Nope, but there was a GIANT screw stuck in the tire tread of that same tire that I must have picked up between the gym and my driveway...no chance I got it before then because I would have heard it getting back into the car. What kind of luck is that? Drove straight back to red stone and was once again in and out in 10 minutes. I went to Red Stone last Friday, August 24, 2018 for new tires, being a local small tire shop, I felt like they deserved my business. As soon as I left area for work I heard a loud noise coming from my car. Never heard it before. I called and could not turn around as I had to go to work.. When I called the owner he stated to me I needed to change my tires. I stated I just told you I was in there. "Oh," he says and immediately says it's the wheel bearings. Being it was the weekend I had to go a well known company to check wheel bearings and align and balance my tires because the owner did not have a lift. Red Stone sold me Fuzion Tires and overcharged me for them as well. They refused to replace the tires, come that Monday, claiming the loud sound I heard was a wheel bearing which was checked after they put the tires on. No lift was used or available per the owner. So there was no way for Red Stone to check what 2 other well known companies have already checked by putting my car on a lift and removing the tires. Here it is a week later and my tires are grabbing every ripple in the road and my alignment is off!!! The noise is unbearable! The drive is rough! Feels like I am in a different gear for snow. These tires are not being sold by Bridgestone/Firestone any longer! I could not even get a price for the tires!! And when you research these tires they are $90 not $118!!! Now they do not deserve business from me ever again! I do not recommend this place at all!!!!!!! read more

i recently had 2 tires mounted at redstone and was going to go back with the other 2. the rims already off car and tires to be mounted were not on rims. i had the same work done in march at redstone (all four tires). when i had the tires done in march it cost me $17 a tire. a pretty standard fee for this area. when i went in today i picked up the first two tires and was charged $64 for the mounting on just the 2. i told the owner that i paid the same amount for all four tires back in march. he said not possible. i left in a tiff. then went back in and asked for a reciept because i never recieved one. the owner printed a reciept that said $54. i asked him why he charged me $64 when the reciept said $54 and in march i was only charged $34 for 2 tires? he said its always $54 and thats what he charged me. not at all true. i went and had the other 2 switched at a dealership which everyone knows is more expensive than a regular garage. they only charged me $20 a tire.... just over the $17 any other garage charges. read more
