As other reviewers state, this hotel is the best deal in town! We paid $96 on a Monday night in July. If you are looking for a big spacious room, I'd suggest paying upwards of an additional $100 at one of the fancier chain hotels. Our queen room was clean, comfortable, and quiet and provided a good night's sleep and shower in the morning. Granted, I would have like another pillow or two in the bed. Many restaurants within walking distance and staff was friendly. They have a hot tub although we did not test it out. Laundry machines and ice onsite. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you are simply looking for a place to sleep. read more

I'm not usually one to complain especially about businesses or someone's livelihood but I honestly feel like this is not only warranted but possibly a helpful review for the people of red stone inn, there's definitely some problems and room for improvement.... We rolled into Moab Today looking for a place to camp and unfortunately went to three places before giving up as none of them accepted pets. I ran across the red stone inn and discovered that they did in fact have "pet" rooms. When we got to our room it was about as big as a matchbox with pine walls and stone floors which not only feel dirty but quite frankly insult me. I prefer not to sleep in a stone kennel like filth because I have animals with me. I feel like if a place is going to be "pet friendly" it needs to accommodate people with pets. Just because we have pets with us doesn't mean we brought some ankle biting, rat shit dog That is going to piss on the floors and stink up the joint. There are responsible pet owners out there.... Next. The hotel advertises that the rooms have a kitchenette which in my language means it should have a stove top, microwave and refrigerator. It doesn't. Refrigerator and microwave. With ONE grill for an entire motel and two picnic tables set up in a common area. Ok, we can work with this. We intended to cook our dinner tonight and that is what we will do. But wait! What's this?! A group of about thirty hogging the entire area not even using the grill and low and behold have DINNER reservations at some other place! They're just there to socialize, clog up the area and drink really bad booze until they have to leave!! We went over and started cooking regardless but I think it's really rude and badly planned on the managements part. If you're going to have outdoor grill spots that are first come first serve at least have the common decency to 1. Have more than one! And 2. If you don't have more than one don't except large groups!!! We actually sat on the curb like hobos eating our dinner because we couldn't sit at one of the two picnic tables! Worst part is the people in the groups werent even staying at the hotel. They were staying across the street at the "sister" hotel. Rude. Rude. Rude. What ever happened to common decency? read more

Not good experience. Room smelled of disinfect - hot tub room not pleasant - lighting very dim - no breakfast included in price - extremely slow internet. Toilet seat broken - bathroom fan clattered. Would not stay here again. read more

Stayed here the last weekend in August for a quick get-a-way. The rooms were a bit dated and the beds were a little small, but it was quiet and they had wifi. Very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. The hotel is right in town centrally located, which is convenient. For the price per night it was a decent place to stay in Moab. read more

Stayed for 2 nights rather than camping out ( the wifey wasn't feeing rugged) quiet little inn, comfortable and close to everything in Moab ! Great little hotel in the center of town. Easy walk to anywhere you might want to go. The park is only about 4 miles away. Great staff. Rooms were modest but clean and had everything you need. Price was an additional factor. Look here before going to one of the bigger places. read more

I'm not sure what the standard for a 'cheap' motel in Moab is, but this hotel seems to not have a high one. Rooms are tiny - so for 2 people with any gear bikes etc there is essentially no room (think no more than 4-5 ft from bed to wall at any point in room - and that's only part if it). Also utility carpet/doormats as area rugs in room. Maybe this makes sense for some visitors but not for me. 1 extra pillow in room only too for a double. This is a clean version of living in your mom's basement. Kind of. read more

It's cheap price is exactly what you pay for. The blankets were dirty and have stains. The pictures provided and advertisements paint a different picture then what the room actually is. My advise is pay an extra few $$ and stay somewhere clean and respectable. read more

Small rooms and no breakfast but amazing for the price! In my mind there are two types of non-chain hotels. There are the kind that are too bad for the chains and there are the local nice hotels that save you the overhead of a chain. This is latter and is definitely better than many chain hotels. The room was filled with nice touches such as artwork in the bathroom and a book to read on the table. The microwave and refrigerator in the little kitchenette were unexpected for the $45 + tax price. Beds were comfortable and the heater got the room very toasty though the controls were confusing at first. The room included enough towels for four people (usually I end up asking) and had an extra blanket. The room was small, the TV was small and even the ironing board was half size. But in a location like Moab you don't spend much time in your room. The hot tub, grill and bike wash station were nice touches I didn't expect. The bathroom fan actually was powerful and worked to remove the humidity. Staff were friendly and check-in was quick. read more

I booked this room because I have stayed here before, and really enjoyed it. They have cabin like wood paneling in the rooms, a refrigerator, and they take pets. When booking this room, I specifically asked if they had a pet policy re...unattended pets. I was told that they did not have any restrictions, as I was wanting to bring my dog, and also be able to go hiking and exploring in Moab. However, upon arrival, I was told that they did have a policy against unattended pets. My dog is a very well behaved dog, and has never been a barker. The management is concerned about barking dogs, and apparently everyone says their dog is well behaved and not a barker. For those of us who really do have good pets, this is unfair. I explained to the manager that I had been told at booking that there was no policy against leaving your dog in the room unattended...after all, you have to go to work during the day! Fortunately, they were able to work with me, as I had already made plans for the next day. Overall, if you are passing through, or you don't have your pet with you, then it is a nice place to stay. However, if you are planning to go hiking or do any adventures in Moab, they are not very pet friendly! This has been a very disappointing experience for me, in that I have stayed here before, and not had a problem bringing my dog. My dog is family for me, and we travel together frequently...and she loves it. However, next time I come to Moab, and bring my dog, I will not be staying here! read more

If you are planning to just sleep there I definitely recommend it, nice customer service, pet friendly, everything that's needed is there, even a hot tub. It's just small and it has the wall unit heater so if you need to turn it down or turn it off you gotta get out of bed, there is tile floor so it could be cold. Red Stone Inn isn't gonna take your breath away. But if you're in Moab for luxury, you're probably there for the wrong reason anyway. I was here prior to and after a mountain bike ride in Canyonlands NP. Cheap. Decent location. My room was small and dark. Clean enough. But it was noisy when people walked down the corridor. Staff was phenomenal, especially Holly, who volunteered to help me get to the Canyonlands Airport (18 miles out of town) on her day off when it seemed like all other transportation options were booked. Red Stone is located on the edge of the downtown strip adjacent to a supermarket. read more

A group of us stayed at the Red Stone during a trip to the fabulous Canyonlands National Park - As noted rooms are "cozy" however, they are clean and very reasonably priced. My interactions with the staff were all great especially Cindy who was fantastic. If you want clean, well priced rooms in a good part of town you cannot go wrong here. Clean tidy small rooms perfect for quick visits to Moab and enjoy the national parks (Arches and Canyonland). The rooms come with great amenities such as microwave, kitchenettes with refrigerator sink, TV and high speed internet. After a full day of hikes or bike riding take in their hot tub spa. During summers, the neighboring hotel has a nice outdoor pool where Red Stone Inn can enjoy. My boyfriend and I stayed here over Presidents day weekend while visiting Arches National Park and Canyonlands. We didn't make reservations until about 6 days before arriving. You can make reservations on the website, but I called instead and asked them for last minute deals which was cheaper. I also used my AAA discount. We paid 134 for 3 nights. That was pretty awesome. I did try the hot tub. It was nice, I can only sit in there for 20 minutes before it gets hot, but there was a group of people in there for about an hour. The room was pretty small, but it wasn't a big deal for us, we weren't looking for a luxurious stay, just somewhere to sleep. It was clean. The microwave and refrigerator was very convenient (instant oatmeal with milk and OJ). The bathroom was clean. I only interacted with the staff upon check in and check out, and they were nice enough. It was pertty cold in Moab when we were there, but the room came with a heater (and AC for the summer) which warmed the room up in minutes. Free wifi was a plus! I would totally stay here again. read more

This place was okay as a road trip pit stop but I wouldn't stay there again. Staff was mildly friendly, rooms were extremely tiny and smelled awful. Shower had low water pressure and pool that is included in nightly rate was at a different hotel. Overall this place was meh. I wouldn't waste my money to stay in a more expensive hotel in Moab as Moab just really doesn't have much to offer. Everything about this hotel was just fine. read more

What a great value! I stayed for two nights during January and only paid $45 per night, plus tax. Price beat everyone in town. The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly. They have a mini kitchen, plus plates,etc. The rooms are small, but very, very serviceable and since I was in Moab I only planned on sleeping there anyways. They are a 5 minute walk from grocery stores and the local micro brewery. Love the place. I will stay there again the next time I go. read more

This was a "5 star" establishment in my book. Deborah was amazingly friendly and helpful, and it was so nice to speak with someone who actually seemed to want your business. After calling several hotels to find that they were either full, or outrageously expensive (i.e. $250.00 for a place that would generally be $89.00), Deborah was a welcome change. We were also pleasantly surprised by the hotel itself. Although it is located on Main Street, it felt as if you were staying in a secluded cabin in the mountains. The price was very reasonable, and they did not charge extra for our pet! And, it was within walking distance of restaurants and nightclubs. I would highly recommend Red Stone Inn, and will stay there should I ever have the pleasure of traveling through Moab again. read more

WATCH OUT!!! I GOT RIPPED OFF! I pulled into their advertised "sister property" at Big Horn by accident and the reseravtion clerk couldn't find my reservation and although I asked about the hottub that she called the "sister" property to see if I could use, she did not inquire if my reservation was actually there instead. Since they are owned by the same man, I called and requested a refund. They chose to keep my money for two places even though I only stayed at one. The website is confusing and pretends that these hotels are connected. I think customer service is lacking. They could have checked the reservation at the other location or absorbed some of my loss since their advertising contributed to my confusion. read more
