We had passed this place for years. Today we stopped. So glad we did. As soon as we picked up some peach syrup to buy, a guy offered us some peach slices to sample. I was like "YUM TY! After having driven past this small fruit stand so many times, it was time to visit. Everything looked so good but we behaved ourselves, mostly. One of the workers came over with a peach sample and it was just divine. Way to sell it! I ended up with a bag of cherries, which actually was more tart than I liked, but they were perfect for my friend. When I went to pay, the cashier asked when I expected to eat the peaches, because they were sort of hard. He then asked if he could pick out a couple that would be better for eating later that day. Of course! Such service, and yes, they were just perfect later that evening. Love shopping at the local fruit stands! Thanks folks. read more

Stayed near here a couple weeks ago and the barrel ride had been closed due to the tractor having an oil leak problem. Came back through this week and stopped in. My kids were not disappointed and I was even offered to ride in the barrel ride too. read more

Cute fruit stand. I bought peaches, cherries, and apples. The man working was very friendly and offered me several samples.

I get to Red Sky Orchards almost every summer. I go in August becasue it is so hard to find good peaches anywhere on the west side of the mountains. I always know that they will not disappoint. This year I went with a friend and her 5 kids. The kids had such a good time with the saw horse saddled "horses," the hats, the photo ops all over the place and last but not least, the Barrel Train!! Oh my gosh!! The 4 youngest had such a blast on that "train" ride!! And, as always, I was very pleased with all of my produce and loved the Rattling Merlot too. Of course the kids LOVED the honey sticks!! This is a such a great day trip. read more

We decided to stop and buy some fruit & veggies on the way back from Yellowstone National Park and heard this place was good. Not fancy or modern grocery with lights and spraying water. So who cares everything we bought was extra good and so fresh. OMG the multi colored sweet corn was outrageous and so sweet and full of flavor. We also got a watermelon and it too was one of the best I ever had. Yeah forgot the photos again. Worth the trip for canners who want good produce. Good prices on fruit - better than a lot of competitors but early in the day they were sold out of several items and could only buy cases of some items....There were no samples when I was there - so I just took my chance on the peaches (they must have been ok because when I wanted one - my kids had eaten all of them...) read more

I've been to this highway-side (Exit 93 off of I-90, just west of Ellensburg) several times and am always so happy with the quality and the price of produce that we select. Today's purchase was just a handful of peaches (and of course, they were serving up samples), some beautiful ears of corn, and of course, Rainier cherries. The produce here is so good, ripe and worth stopping at. You will find only the local northwest stuff here and is far less busy than the big Thorp building, which last time I went to had a lot of imported produce now. I was also pleasantly surprised they had Montana Flathead cherries here. read more

There is literally no better place to get your fresh fruit unless you go to the actual farm that it comes from. We always try to make a stop when we our on our way over the pass. We got some fantastic peaches & apples here, as well as good corn and potatoes. Samples were provided as we were exploring the different kinds of fruit available, and the staff were quick to provide answers to our questions. Made a special trip to this area for fruit. Was very disappointed with the larger competitor a little to the east. That felt like a circus with bus loads of tourists being dropped off and less focus on THE FRUIT! Red Sky is a REAL farm stand with great fruit/food and exceptionally nice customer service.
