    Fried Asparagus
    Sonia S.

Fruit stand itself is nothing special. They have smoked garlic--which looked and sounded good, but I did not buy. We really stopped here for the deep fried asparagus--which was $12...but super tasty!

    $5.20 for all this fruit.

I was craving some fruit and only had a credit card. This place was absolutely amazing. While prices weren't as low as some of the supermarkets, the quality was definitely better. This will be the place I buy my fruit from in the valley going forward. Great customer service in addition to all the great looking fruits and vegetables.

A great fruit stand if there ever was one! Located in downtown Union gap, these guys are doing some work! The stand has been here for as long as anyone can remember and still does the same quality work today as when they started - now they just know all the farmers and get better deals! The guys here know their stuff and, appropriately, ensure the produce they sell is top notch. The bounty here is impressive. The offerings range from multiple types of tomatoes to more tree fruit than you can shake a stick at and as many veggies as you'd like to sample! The pepper selection is impressive and they've got tons of melons, garlic, corn, onions, and some legit roasted peanuts! Everything is from the valley and these guys only serve up the best stuff. The array of peaches, nectarines, plums and other fruits make for some marvelous viewing and the varieties are ever changing - it's quite legit! A unique item here is the smoked garlic - TRY THE SMOKED GARLIC! I think it may be from a unicorn or perhaps where the proverbial rainbow ends because it's absolute gold. The flavor is amazing and thus far it's elevated everything we've put it in. End of the day, this is a must hit spot where you'll find a cornucopia of fruits, veggies and all things produce! Welcome to Yakima - We grow your food!

We got a summer stone fruit. Local shop, great service and prices. Convent to get to from the interstate.

Used to love this place. Parking situation is terrible now and doesn't seem like a very good selection anymore. Only have thick asparagus.

While it's not a giant market, it encompasses about two city blocks and has Thirty or so vendors. The majority of the vendors are from farms either in Yakima or some of the neighboring communities. When we first attended a few weeks ago, there was an incredible amount of produce available. It ranges from veggies, to berries, to just about any type of fruit you could imagine. The best part however was the fact that there's really not a lot of price difference between here and the stores around. And most farmers markets that we have frequented, there's a significant markup - fortunately that really was not the case here. Aside from the produce, there were a good number of ancillary booths including those specializing in wood carving, a couple cheese makers (YES!), a sausage booth, a few jewelry spots and a number of local organizations advertising to the community- we talked with the master gardeners and they're a fun bunch! The food available here was pretty legit too. A Filipino booth boasts some incredible pork and beef skewers, there's tons of good Mexican food options and a number of other booths rotate through. We're excited to keep seeing what rotates through. In addition to this being a great market, there is incredible potential given the surrounding area. I wouldn't surprise me to see the number of food trucks continue to increase and the non-produce options continue to expand. A+!

My family has been eating these very sausages for as long as I can remember and it's always been a treat. I can honestly say that I have been eating these same sausages my whole entire life. My family doesn't just shop for dinner here, we pack our freezers! My mom will order several pounds the smoked German sausage when she's in town and fly them back home to Texas. Are they the best in the world? Probably not, but being a classic dinner here and there throughout my 40 years on this earth and having grown up in the Yakima Valley makes them the best in my world. The smoked German sausage and spicy German sausage: -Perfect texture -Prefect bite -Amazing flavor -Meaty, juicy, perfect amount of fat! -Consistent quality! Look no further. We were so glad after getting some of their wonderful pepperoni and other fine meats . This is a great little mom and paw type of store. We actually met the grandson. Who was there late on a Saturday and let us in to get our selections. The pepperoni is exceptionally moist compared to some of the others I have had and I'm a bit of a pepperoni connoisseur so I highly recommend this great little store.
