If we hadn't been tipped off about this place by a local we never would have stopped. So glad we did. While traveling home from a convention we started looking for local cherries. One stop we made was at a place that was out, but they told us about this place. It's right off the highway just north of Yakima. You just see a sign that says "FRUIT ANTIQUES" which in and of itself sets the brain on high alert. But, when you walk in there's fruit, and antiques! Two great things that go great together. We loaded up our basket with Rainier cherries, peaches, onions and horseradish pickles. Then we browsed the antiques for a while. It was a wonderful stop! The employees were super friendly, the store is dog friendly and the amount of items they have in both produce and knickknacks is mind boggling. Do yourself a favor and get off the highway and take a break.

Soup, apples, grapes, pepper jelly, and salsa.

This place is our go-to for everything! Amazing salsa, (pepper patch is our fave) pepper jelly , fresh fruit, soup mixes for a cold winter day, and amazing friendly people.

Always stop by at this place when I'm in the area. Fresh fruit, jam, books and some some very interesting vintage items.

The staff is very friendly and they carry my favorite kind of apples (Opals). Donut peaches were picked fresh the same morning!

Nice stop if traveling between Yakima and Wenatchee. A bit spendy but I love the sauces they sell here.

It's located in an iconic for a building with a giant sign that simply reads "Fruit" - Washington nostalgia at its best! Apparently they are renting the place from the previous owners had lucky for all of us, it gives us a chance to buy more delicious produce and local products a little bit further down on the trail! Located on the way out to Naches, this place has tons of great stuff be at for a bike ride, a barbecue or just grabbing some delicious tree grown treats for at home. The produce that is available here largely mirrors what is down the road a few miles at the main stand near Suntides golf course. When we came in, they had tons of fresh bing and rainier cherries, apricots, peppers, Blueberries and plenty of potatoes and onions. The array of colors on any of the tables is always impressive and make sure thankful to live in a place like this! In addition to fruit, they roast their own peanuts, sell Tillamook ice cream, So local honey, rustic wooden furniture as well as meats from a butcher in Selah and smoked salmon from a small town on the Westside. It all added up to more than we were expecting and gave us a lot of reasons to come back here other than just the tree fruit options. The prices are very reasonable and the gal working here was very friendly. It's the sort of place you stop on your way out and on your way back, and is a good reason to carry a bag or basket on your bike! A great stop no matter what the occasion.

While it's not a giant market, it encompasses about two city blocks and has Thirty or so vendors. The majority of the vendors are from farms either in Yakima or some of the neighboring communities. When we first attended a few weeks ago, there was an incredible amount of produce available. It ranges from veggies, to berries, to just about any type of fruit you could imagine. The best part however was the fact that there's really not a lot of price difference between here and the stores around. And most farmers markets that we have frequented, there's a significant markup - fortunately that really was not the case here. Aside from the produce, there were a good number of ancillary booths including those specializing in wood carving, a couple cheese makers (YES!), a sausage booth, a few jewelry spots and a number of local organizations advertising to the community- we talked with the master gardeners and they're a fun bunch! The food available here was pretty legit too. A Filipino booth boasts some incredible pork and beef skewers, there's tons of good Mexican food options and a number of other booths rotate through. We're excited to keep seeing what rotates through. In addition to this being a great market, there is incredible potential given the surrounding area. I wouldn't surprise me to see the number of food trucks continue to increase and the non-produce options continue to expand. A+!
