This store is one of the nicer grocery stores in Yakima. The store is bright, clean, and is well kept. Rosauers tends to focus on customer service as opposed to price. As it generally works, as customer service goes up, prices follow! I'll stop in here occasionally when we need one or two things, but it's pretty pricey if you do all your shopping here. They run "13 hour sales" fairly regularly (1-ish per month) and you can get some solid deals. During one of the recent meat sales, they had some good deals on pork chops - however I found that the "13 hour sale" price was still slightly more than Costco's everyday price....but you don't have to buy it in bulk here, which works better for a lot of people! The meat section is good and the butcher will help you out if you have any questions. In my experience, they have been pretty knowledgeable and have made some good suggestions. They have an awesome assortment of cheese near the deli counter. They've got all sorts, including sheep and goat cheese - if you're interested in mixing it up! The deli has a wide variety of dishes. I've only had a couple of them, but they are fresh. Be weary of the hot deli. I recently had some potato wedges from there and I'm almost certain these were leather based. They were awful, but fortunately I only got a few $'s worth! This is a nice store and you the staff is super friendly. As noted, they cater to customer service. There aren't many places left where you can get paper bags and have a high school worker load your car for you! If you aren't overly price conscious, this is great option for you!

The cheese selection is solid and it looks as if they're continuing to expand the specialty cheeses and meats. Key knowledge - They have Amish Butter! If you've not tried it....it's so good! First off, their sign-up and pick-up is easy and done online through Farmigo. Their CSA subscription is flexible in that you can put a delivery hold and get credit back. Their customer service is very responsive.... and best of all, you get to enjoy the best summer fruits like cherries, plums, peaches, and nectarines! They do a great job informing you what's in the box, and what's going on at the farm and give you notice when the boxes are delivered to your pick-up location. I appreciate the transparency in their communication. This year, for the first time, they partnered with another farm for berries. We jumped on that since my toddler can consume so many berries. However, maybe due to the weather this year, the berries were quite disappointing in sweetness and size. About three weeks in, my husband and I decided we wouldn't get the berry next summer. Well, Collins Family Orchards sent an email shortly after saying they were not of the quality they were expecting and refunded us for the remainder. I appreciate their proactiveness. It made it so I had more confidence in getting the berries again if it is offered next year.

I understand that vendors have to follow COVID restriction guidelines by selecting produce for the customers, but we should be able to trust that quality selections will be made on our behalf. I was buying 1 pound of Rainier cherries today which are $7/lb - not cheap but worth it. Over half of the cherries these two gals selected were spotted, bruised, had those weird little appendages and just looked bad. I couldn't believe it. It left me feeling I couldn't walk away and feel good about this transaction so I was honest and told them these cherries were not good and wanted to exchange for the other cherries which were big, juicy and healthy looking. They were rude and wanted me to take the discards with me since I had *touched* them. Maybe they can't resell them because they've been touched by a customer, but seriously, they shouldn't have been selling those anyway - they were discards to begin with. I will NEVER buy from this vender again and I suggest that you double check the quality before you walk away from the stand.

We were looking for a Christmas tree and as fate would have it trees were available here! Just outside the fruitstand, in the winter time, sets a myriad of potential Christmas trees just hoping for the right person to come along and take them home and bring Yuletide joy to their house! They had a pretty good selection of trees here with sizes from around 4 feet all the way up to 10-12 feet. The prices were solid with six and 7 foot trees right around $40-$50. You pick the tree, they cut off a small piece on the base so you can put it in water when you get home and help you tie it to the top of your car if needed. The gentleman helping us, Ramiro, was very nice and made the whole process very easy. We'll be back for fruit in the spring!
