    two bags of coffee
    Callista W.

Before COVID: My first experience with Red Rock Roasters was at a Coffee Expo a few years ago where they were giving a presentation on coffee, different ways of roasting, origins of the coffee, cascara, flavorings, etc. They had so much information about coffee it was great! And the staff member at the presentation was friendly and nice, too. In the next couple of years, I found the same staff member at a Coffee and Chocolate Fest, and thanked her for the presentation. She told me more about their coffee blends, some of which I also sampled and enjoyed. Fast forward a little bit, and I also bought a few bags in the past couple years. One blend I distinctly remember is their Roadrunner Blend, which was naturally sweet and less harsh than many coffees can be (I usually drink coffee black by the way). I also tried their Organic/Fair Trade Peru Swiss Water Decaf, which tasted so good that I really doubt anyone who loves coffee would know it was decaf. After COVID: I've been buying more coffee than usual since COVID took hold (no surprises there I'm sure!). I ordered a few bags from Red Rock Roasters and had a great experience. Their coffee shipped fast, and in minimal packaging. The coffees themselves all taste so unique from different regions of the world. One thing I really like about this company is how transparent they are regarding their products. On some of the coffees, they even have interviews they did with the coffee growers they purchase their coffee from, and their other coffees have plenty of information as well. It's nice that they work so hard to make coffee not just a morning drink, but a way that we can connect with the world as well. I am definitely a fan of this company, and I tell my family and friends about them regularly.

Also, no shade to NM piñon coffee but Red Rock's piñon is way better.

This place definitely falls into the first category. This morning I went with the single origin Guatemala drip, and it was exactly what a solid cup of coffee should be. Smooth, rich, and balanced with a nice chocolate note that hangs around just long enough to make you take another sip. No bitterness. No burnt taste. Just a clean, well-roasted cup that says someone here actually cares about the beans. The shop itself has a personality, which I always appreciate. It's decorated with fishing lures, fish artwork, and sculptures scattered around the place. Naturally this leads to the obvious conclusion: the owner is either an avid fisherman... or coffee roasting is just the side hustle between trout expeditions. Either way, the theme works. The space feels relaxed, creative, and comfortable. The kind of place where you can sit with a cup and not feel rushed out the door. And speaking of doors, while I was there there was a steady flow of customers coming in and out. That's usually the universal coffee signal for yep, this place is doing something right. Bottom line: Great coffee, cool atmosphere, and a shop with enough character to keep things interesting. I'll definitely be back for another cup of that Guatemala.

Very mild chocolate, I believe it is Dutch chocolate if my memory services me not to sweet which I appreciate. It was delightfully well balanced. The coffee itself is very smooth and not bitter, excellent taste! I will be back for sure to try other options there are lots of choices. I should have taken a picture of the menu. There is ample seating both inside and outside, had I not had my toddler with me I would have loved to sit out front but it is right by the road so a no go with a rambunctious little boy... There is additional outside seating to the side and farther from the road too. I look forward to my next trip.

Begrudgingly I went along; not quietly but more "respectfully pissy" i would say. Navigating our large van in the parking lot we still couldn't find the business. I started bitching about the crummy location, poor signage and how I just wanted a cup of quality coffee. That life shouldn't be this hard on a Saturday morning. Where is this coffee roasters shop? Finally: We located and walked into Candlestick... ...and POOOF !!! We meet (and want to marry) Zach! The enthusiasm, passion, knowledge, mission and love this guy has for his craft is amazing. We are so impressed. We decided Zach's wife is soo lucky! Mia M. did a review calling this an "intimate coffee experience" and I agree. When we relocate to Corrales, we will become frequent customers of this business. "Like really good like customers as they say in the valley." Thank you Zach for an exceptional coffee "pour over" experience ... we loved our individual cups of coffee. We support your fair trade mission, and wish you very well in your business. After our Candlestick Visit: My mood improved from a 3/10 scale, to a 10/10 after my visit to Candlestick Roasters ... YMMV of course, but please give it a try :)

I got the bacon breakfast sandwich (which seemed like a popular choice that day) and an iced salted caramel latte (which didn't taste too strongly of coconut). While the sandwich was good and being a native Burqueña, I didn't think that the sambal aioli would be that spicy (as other reviews have stated), but unfortunately came with some horrible side effects to the point that I had to leave work early that day. I did enjoy the Friday French toast special (caramelized banana) and the presentation of it, as well as how pretty my friend's avocado toast looked. . Not sure I'll be back though 2026 #38

One of my biggest gripes is the seating can be rough. Specifically, the high tops are not built for short people. They get really busy too so sometimes you're fighting for seating. The drinks are solid, they have a lot of sweeter options and seasonal flavors. They do have a good selection of food, more than your average coffee shop offers. I've enjoyed the breakfast sandwich a couple times.
