I keep saying "they" because I don't remember the guys name, I think it was Doug, When problems came up he updated and explained what and why but he had prepared us for the possibility that the manifold might be broken. I believe he was fair and honest which is a hard combo to find these days. If you need diesel work and in southern Utah call Southwest Diesel

After calling multiple diesel mechanics and all saying they could take a look at it in a few days I called Southwest Diesel. Darren said they were swamped but he'd take a look at it. As I was waiting in the office to give my information there was already a mechanic working on my rig. He came in and showed me the issue. I was going to need a new air filter and a new fuel filter and they both had to be ordered. I was thinking "great, how long is that going to take?" I kid you not, while the mechanic was removing my old air filter about 10 minutes go by and a pickup truck pulls into the lot and he says "there's your air filter". Maybe another 5 minutes go by and a different truck rolls in and he says there's your fuel filter. Amazing!! I went from thinking I was going to be stuck in St. George for multiple days to problem solved in about an hour. Absolutely top notch service. Super knowledgeable people. They talked me through the whole process and explained what each part did for my engine and what caused the issue. Can't thank and recommend them enough.

The customer service outstanding. Mike, Scott, Mateo, were such a joy throughout my issue with my car. They open at 8:00 AM. I was there at 7:58 AM. I knew in my spirit that they would be busy and I needed to get on the road back to California ASAP. I was greeted by Mike with Good morning, how can we help you with a smile. that made me feel less stressed. I told him and with no hesitation Mike was on the job. Quickly he came and gave me an itemized list of what he was doing. Loved that. Then he was back to working on my car, ordering parts. While he was working, I had the opportunity to have a great conversation with Scott. Who has been in the auto mechanic industry for 17 years. So, I knew that I was in good hands. Scott's customer care and understanding of the customer care issues he definitely addressed them accordingly. I was thoroughly impressed by their professionalism and their willingness to assist each customer that walked through the door. I was in awe and wished that we had mechanics that care for the person and then they handled the car issues. I see why they're one of the best; if not the best in their industry. Thank you Mike, Scott, and Mateo for being so helpful and nice while I was at your establishment . Mikes main priority was to get me safely on the road. And he did. I made it safely back to California. Which was a 5 hour drive. We'd had three different shops take a look at it, and all three misdiagnosed the issue even after we told them we thought it was a bad igniter. I called Indy RV the Monday before Thanksgiving, and Malin told me to bring it by that afternoon and he'd have their service team take a look as soon as they could. When I got there, he took exhaustive notes on everything I told him so the service team would have all the information needed. He didn't try to lecture me on how it probably wasn't the thing I said it was, like everywhere else; he just asked questions and wrote down everything I said. It did indeed turn out to be an igniter issue, and since Dometic would have taken a week or more to ship the replacement part under warranty, Malin coordinated with their parts distributor to have them provide a new igniter with their next delivery, two days later. They were able to squeeze us in for a replacement on Wednesday afternoon, the day before Thanksgiving, and our heater is finally fixed Malin was communicative, understanding, and speedy.
