The service was great, the lady that served us was super friendly and welcoming. We decided to get some breakfast, we got 2 eggs with potatoes, and toast! It was an overall nice dining experience :) we would definitely come back again .

Bacon cheeseburger meal and my sister has the French toast with an omelette and some sausage.

I have been visiting this diner for over 15 years and I have to say that they have never changed in a sense of offering good quality meals at a decent price. The service is always very friendly and is a different vibe that you can't get at other restaurants/eateries. I usually get breakfast at this particular diner (french toast) but they do offer a nice dinner menu and i'd recommend their burger and fries (fries are amazing) I know it sounds crazy to recommend such a simple American meal but this is a diner people! Recently I've noticed a severe cut in hours of service and staffing so it does sadden me that this minor Mayfair gem seems to be foundering, give it a chance!

Salmon with a Chablis Lemon butter reduction!!! Salmon was cooked perfectly

But aside from that I've always had a decent meal and very good service. I have only sat at the bar and the bartender (who seems to be the same on all of my visits) is great. She's personable and I never sit without something I need. The food is fine, it's not bad, but it's nothing special (although their tots are pretty good). I usually just get a burger, sometimes they're cooked perfect (I like medium rare) and other times they're very well. Either way they still taste pretty good. I'll continue to come in here, the service makes it worth it. The food is an afterthought but again, not horrible.

The way inside the building is a little odd, with a long ramp that literally wraps halfway around the whole building. However, it leads to an outdoor terrace for very inviting open-air seating. Inside, the restaurant is big, with an open floor-plan, several big-screen TVs, and large-wrap-around bar right in the middle. Very friendly-feeling. On this visit, we had mushroom and Swiss angus burgers. They were amazing and comparatively inexpensive. We're looking forward to returning soon to this Philadelphia gem to sample other menu choices! *A note to the owners: As of this writing, the website is BADLY out of date and its information is misleading. Firstly, I was confused when I drove onto the block and saw another named business at the address. I found on street parking on the side street & called the number advertised across the business. I was advised they were the same business but had a name revision. The entry was toward the rear of the building. There are 2 steps to navigate for those that may have any mobility challenges. The first thing you see is a spacious open area that has several booths along the wall & an opening to the main dining area that houses the beverage area and numerous tables & booths looking out onto the street. There are mounted televisions surrounding the room & music playing in the background. The Servers are professional, pleasantly inviting and friendly. The food smells & tastes heavenly & the combination platters are savory, seasoned to perfection & very plentiful. My combination platters had shrimp, whiting and fries & were so heavy I couldn't believe it. The value was amazing for the amount of food you received. The seafood offerings were great by the pound. This is a place you will want to return for many more days to enjoy over & over.

The staff were super friendly and checked in just enough without being annoying. The food was the best part for sure. Everything tasted fresh and actually well-seasoned, especially the seafood. You can tell it's not just thrown together--it had that real Mediterranean flavor. The portions were good too, I definitely left full. There's also a nice variety on the menu, so it's easy to find something you'll like. Overall, it's a really solid spot. If you're into seafood or just want something different with good flavor, I'd definitely recommend it. I'd go back for sure.

We were looking to try a different restaurant this weekend, and decided to try Seven Seas…read more We started with a yummy roasted eggplant remoulade with tomato. I put it on the fresh pita and it was an excellent starter. We ordered the Caesar Salad - it was very good - fresh, green leafy lettuce - crispy croutons, a sprinkling of grated cheese, and a delicious dressing. Next up, the Crab Bisque. I lived in Maryland for 30 years and had crab bisque many, many times. This was the first crab bisque that wasn't tomato based - it was a brownish, creamy version. It was more like chowder - although when I looked up 'bisque', it most certainly can be creamy. I might have been fine with the 'creamy version', but it lacked any crab flavor and had no crab in it - not one shred. I've never had any fish soup that had no fish in it. I took a few spoonfuls and left it. My partner tried it and came to the same conclusion. The entrees came next - I got the Seared Branzino and my partner got the Shrimp and Scallops. The Seared Branzino was okay - there were bites where I had a very fishy taste - and it was a very small piece of fish. My partner's Shrimp and Scallops came with steamed garlic spinach and mashed potatoes. The Scallops were tender and cooked perfectly - they were in a delicious sauce and had a very nice sear. However, the Shrimp were tough and chewy - we were both very surprised to have one item (scallops) so good, and another (shrimp) on the same plate, that was so bad. The steamed garlic spinach and mashed potatoes were very good. While our Caesar salad, Scallops and side dishes were very good, the rest of the meal was lacking.
