This Place is Amazing!! Rented my kayaks online. $50 bucks a person is definitely worth it!! Was provided a kayak paddle and life jacket. You watch a short video, then you're dropped off 8 miles up the River. The driver an tour guy was very nice. His son was adorable believe he was 6. It took us 5 hours but we took our time and enjoyed every minute. This is a great place to take In Mother Nature relax and enjoy the ride!! I've read many reviews about the water being low but I checked the weather and forecast before booking!! Red River Gorge was Awesome!!

On of the views from the river.

The best kayaking spot I have been to so far. The staff were some of the most friendly, welcoming, and helpful people I've ever met. The owners and staff treated everyone as if they were old buddies. The campgrounds were great and had tons of room for parking, hammocks, and tents. Also there was a volleyball court in the back. They have firewood available for sale and several fire pits on site. They also had extremely clean potter potties right by the campsite. The water was a little low so we had to get out and push our kayak 3 times but only for a short walk then right back to kayaking. There was also a giant rock surround by 17ft deep water in the last two miles of the trip that had a ton of room to stop, hangout, and jump into the water. Overall a great kayaking route with a lot of great views, amazing staff, and a fantastic atmosphere.

Great times and a friendly staff! Jump rock is a must! This place is easy to find and plenty of places to park. Equipment was newer and well maintained. Highly recommend Red River Adventure!

I felt like Ken Braden prepared my group adequately to feel comfortable on the river although it was the first time for most of us.

YES! We wanted something interesting to do on our annual drive down to our Florida coast vacation…read more We simply added a day and zigged out to Kentucky for a little outdoor adventure. First tip - get there early so you can explore the general area. We had a little time, so we hiked to Balanced Rock for some great views and some photo ops. "Gorge Underground" is an abandoned limestone mine (where they accidentally struck water and flooded it beyond use). Luckily, it's great for a kayaking adventure! Our guides were super nice and very informative. With one in front, and one bringing up the rear, you were free to wander (just a little) versus single-file through a boring tour. The experiences is just really cool. At one point, we ended up in the farthest-in part of the cave, and we all turned off our headlamps. Pitch dark. The guide had some funny stories, but then asked if it was anyone's birthday coming up (it was my son's in a couple days). So we all sang happy birthday to him (but he couldn't be embarrassed - it was dark and nobody knew who he was!). After finishing our 90 minute tour, it was time to dock. My wife and I lagged behind to be the last ones out, giving us probably 10 extra minutes of "taking it all in". One regret is that we didn't plan ahead enough to get the clear kayaks with LED lights. That would have been another layer of "cool". I would recommend to anyone. The water is still as can be, so it's a gentle paddle that anyone can do.

Our family of 7 had a great time doing the deluxe clear bottomed kayak tour. I think the extra $10…read morewas definitely worth it for the lighted kayaks and to see fish swimming underneath. Our guides Josh and Dylan were helpful and knowledgeable. It is COLD down there. I didn't wear socks because I didn't want them to get wet but in retrospect I wish I had. Toes were numb!
