I had a great group - 5 seniors from Florida, a cute couple, and then it was ME. We called everyone by their states they were from. Lol! The staff was awesome and very patient with everyone - there were only about 3 people who were experienced at kayaking, so the "safety" person had to ensure to keep the others on track. I thought it was adorable because he had to prevent the seniors from running into the walls. At the end - everyone had such a great time. #bucketlist Would i do this again - YES! He took great photos of each of us and our group. The group was small, which I loved because it never felt rushed. The colorful lights you see as you make your way through the cave are very awesome. Just a heads up, your feet and bottom will get very cold! Definitely wear layers and socks. We went in the summer and were still freezing by the end. Still, it was absolutely one of the best things I've done.

I was surprised it's man-made, flooded limestone mine but it's still definitely worth checking off the bucket list. Just be prepared--it's VERY cold! Very knowledgeable staff and very organized. Definitely recommend you fill out your waivers online ahead of time, gives you more time to look around the gift shop. No formal restrooms on site but the port a potties were clean and there was a handwashing station as well. Dress comfortable as the caves are a bit chilly but not very cold, depends on your tolerance of the cold. Take caution and hold onto your things securely, if it's dropped in the cave waters it's gone. We were told they will not retrieve lost items so bring phone and keys at your own risk. :)

Since the group was small it took us only like 35-40 minutes to finish all 5 zipline routes, with bigger groups would have taken maybe 1.5 hours. It was fun and the guides were really nice and fun, they were still super energetic and excited every time they zipline. I wish there were more zipline routes, or let us do it twice. It cost ~$120, $24 per route, actual ziplining experience was like 30 seconds per route. Yes fun, but very expensive when you consider $ / amount of actual experience.

Many were active and getting to watch snakes move around without fear of them biting me was awesome! There were also turtles and a few alligators, and the snake presentation was interesting. Reading about snake venom research was very educational as well! Great for kids of all ages, especially snake enthusiasts!!

We were in the area on a crappy rainy weekend looking for something to do. We thought we'd take a chance on the Kentucky Reptile Zoo. I was impressed with the diversity of reptiles they had, especially for being so remote. I was also really impressed with the staff. It's obvious to see how much they love their jobs and care about all the animals. We were lucky to have been able to see a venom extraction. It was very interesting and informative, and the seasoned vet performing the extraction was very open and willing to answer questions any of us had. They're doing really great work at the KRZ, with a lovely and passionate staff. I would definitely recommend it!

Took a weekend trip to Red River Gorge and decided to go kayaking one day. Didn't do my research on…read morethe river water levels...so my bad. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because all the employees were super nice and helpful. It'd be more of a 3 honestly. I called Sunday morning and reserved 2 kayaks for my fiancé and I, gave them my name and picked the 1pm time. Got a bit lost and called their office, told them exactly where we were and they gave us clear directions. This probably happens often lol. We ended up being about 20 mins late but parked, paid, checked in and got our life jackets and paddles quickly. Water levels are low. I repeat, water levels are low. They make it clear if this happens...once you get there. So definitely check online! If the levels aren't high enough you don't do the 7-8 miles...you go 2 miles up river and then back. With many areas where you have to get out to carry your kayak over the rocks because it's so shallow. Wear something on your feet that aren't old navy flip flops! It's much easier on the way back. But do your research and be prepared. At the turn around point there were a bunch of people hanging out at the big rock. Maybe too many for us still, but looked like a good time. We both enjoyed it and hope to be back when the levels are higher! Kudos to the friendly staff!

The customer service was terrible when we got back and explained what was wrong. The lady we spoke to said we didnt care if we were not happy. They have 3 people outside. No one inspected the kayaks even though they stated they know they have holes in them. They didnt adjust the paddles and show you how to adjust the seats. I would not recommend it. Poorest kayak trip we have ever been on.

I'm glad I did it…read moreon a weekday since my friend who did the trail 2 days later on Sunday said the trail was packed. Very clearly marked trail and not a lot of elevation changes most of the way except for the area around the arch. Gray's arch is very beautiful, fascinating how features like these are shaped by nature. After the arch area, there is a forested area with streams that is fun. Overall, the trail is not too long, has interesting sights to see and not very strenuous.
