Jack is the man! I am starting a firearms training business and needed to purchase several training handguns. Jack understood my needs and guided me towards several quality and price friendly revolvers and semi automatics. He then helped me choose the right rifle for my own personal use. My experience with rifles was limited, so he took his time walking me through the pros and cons of each rifle available. Once I made my selection, he assisted me with customizing it. He then took his time showing me how to operate the rifle and accessories. He even bore sighted the rifle. He has a customer for life!

Great independent shop just minutes from my house. Jack is incredibly knowledgeable and talked my husband and I through his full offerings -- from handguns and rifles to custom cerakote and engraving. I came to get my red dot professionally installed, and he had it done in a matter of minutes. I'm in the market for a shotgun next, and I'll for sure be back. I want to start by saying, What a GREAT experience! I have never had such outstang support from a "Gun Store" in all of my years... Typically they are condescending A__HOLES, that never seem to have the time for you. I remember one in particular, I went in to a ..rners, to take my test for my Safety Certificate, and the old man grading my test (that I missed 2), told me that "I should not be possessing a firearm if I miss ANY of the questions..." You will not find this to be the case at Red Rifle. Jack and Dash answered all of my questions politely and with the respect that a 'good' customer deserves. I HIGHLY recommend these guys if you are in the market to purchase OR even if you have questions about the process. And the dogs Winchester and Leo are great as well! read more

Went into this shop on a whim and it is definitely the best kept secret! Buying a gun in CA can be a bit confusing and complicated, and being a woman it can be pretty intimidating, but the staff made great suggestions and made the purchasing process simple and convenient. A highlight of this store is that the staff is extremely knowledgeable; working with an individual who knows their stuff, made me feel confident in my purchase. I will definitely be back! I was in contact with Jack regarding a Nighthawk Custom 1911 order. He instructed me to email him the details which I did immediately. A few days went by and no response, so I called. Jack said I needed to be "patient" and he'd get to my quote. 3 weeks later I have yet to receive my quote. I figured the opportunity to sell me a $6000+ firearm would make them respond but nope. So do yourself a favor, skip on this place and contact Wanney's Firearms in Lakewood. Wanney's answered all my questions within an hour. read more

Walked in today looking for assistance with an accessory, and the staff was amazing. I had been to two different stores, talking with employees and managers who were rude and not helpful. After searching for local gun stores around me, I believe I found the place for my future purchases. Red Rifle is not like the average gun store Ive been to, it is welcoming and cozy. Unlike the recent gun stores I went to most of the employees are very snobbish when asking questions. Jack is a positive person I can ask questions comfortably. The shop may seem small, but it's used efficiently, and has a lot of personality to it. I would definitely recommend this place for your local firearm and ammo purchases. read more

Posting this review on behalf of my partner - I love supporting small businesses and have made three purchases so far this year with Jack at Red Rifle, including my first AR. His pricing is very fair and he has great knowledge of his products. He made an excellent red-dot sight recommendation for my rifle and really takes the time to help you find exactly what it is you need. In fact, after picking up my rifle the other day, he mentioned that the SIG I've had my eye on was on sale so I jumped on the opportunity to add it to my collection. Our firearms discussions are always informative and educational, as the tone is always conversational and never sales-pitchy. It's easy to see that Jack takes great pride in his work, as evidenced by the other repeat customers I've seen come in and discuss their customizations. He has a good assortment of inventory that any enthusiast would enjoy perusing and it's easy to get caught up discussing various models and accessories. Looking forward to going back to pick up my SIG in the coming weeks. read more

Just took my #1 shop position. Been in LA for years going to all the shops to find the best ones. I have some good go-to shops now after years of trial and error. Decided to try another one and they all just got replaced and passed up by Red Rifle. My top shops list hasn't changed for over 3 years until today. I see in the bad reviews people say they don't like Jack's attitude and that they really like Turners. If anyone speaks highly of Turners they probably failed their first FSC and get yelled at the range by an RO to not look down the barrel of their firearm. Jack is clearly for the 2A cause and you have to place the 2A community and 2A rights over some "attitude" and not run to Walmart (turners.) read more

Went to this shop on a whim, unannounced. I had a Sig Mosquito that just died on me and I needed some help. Jack welcomed me in and was NOT out for money. He gave me some direction & gave me some options (some of which did not benefit his business this time). I ended up calling Sig direct to see if the piece was still under warranty, which I wouldn't have even thought of before coming here (as I am not experienced with the ins and outs of the industry). I'm thankful for the honesty/integrity of this business. I came back later asking if they knew any direction on attaining a CCW and they gave me more info. So far so good I am not done with the process yet so here's what I'm gonna do I'm gonna leave a review hopefully I can leave it up and not change it at all because I have had a wonderful experience I went to a gun show on December 1 and we actually sought to pieces that we purchased And as we wait for the checks to come back I have to say that I saw the same exact piece at another table for $50 less over at the show but I went by the other table 3 times trying to give him a fair chance not one person greeted me not one person said hello not one person even raise their butt or their eyes out of the seat that they were sitting in to see that there was a customer interested in purchasing something right away the total opposite of the experience that I had with RED RIFLE At red rifle I was greeted I was cared for my husband and my two kids had exchanged names with the two men helping us by the time we left and the experience I was so genuine and it made me choose them instead of going back and getting an AR for $50 less And when someone that's not too rich can choose this it's defInately to say something about these folkS. Hopefully the appointment and the pick up goes as smooth as everything so far so good I am definitely going to be one of the gals who is a Ongoing customer of these folks probably for a lifetime read more

Jack and Red Rifle is AMAZING!!! Very trustworthy and knowledgeable. Years and years of experience. Knows his guns. I am a 53-year old semi-retired CPA. Bought my last pistol, Colt 380, 29 years ago in 1989 after I was mugged. Then, did some range shooting with my son a few years back and now into it again. I bought a Sig Sauer P226, Nitron 9mm, CA approved. Jack tested me to get my firearms certificate and while I passed it, he quizzed me on the answers I missed to make sure I knew all of the correct answers. My son and I took a 45 minute gun safety class in the past but I still learned A TON from Jack when I picked up the Sig. I learned the 3 step sequence to make sure a pistol is unloaded, avoiding muzzle swipe, and how to take control of the pistol to make sure you manage it as opposed to it managing you. He also knows all the rules on California guns sales, roster guns, non-roster guns, the rules related to sales to LEO's, etc. Just an awesome, trustworthy guy with a sneaky sense of humor. I probably will not purchase any more firearms (well, I might) but if I do, there is only one place to go for a great selections, good price, and someone you can trust ..... Red Rifle!!! This place is awesome... NOT. It's great if you want Jack's two very large dogs to jump on you and harass you the whole time you are there. He shows little control over a St Bernard and some woolly dog while you're there. I tolerated that until I paid him to remove my flash hider. He left a crush washer on, knowing that they are 1x use only. I asked him if he removed it like her was supposed to and he acted surprised that i wanted the new washer (which came with my muzzle brake) put on my rifle. I told him I didn't like what he was doing and he told me that I will let him speak and not interrupt him again. He lives at his dirty little shop and his knowledge about weapons outside is comfort zone is questionable . Do yourself a favor and find a better gunsmith. read more

I should of came here in the first place !! Went to turners to buy a holosun red dot and they sold me the wrong one because the personal who helped me didn't know what model was needed for my slide, so once I went back to return it for the correct model they didn't have the one I needed. I have now been to Red Rifle Twice and the gentleman working the floor has been nothing but professional and helpful with his services. He does not have the negative attitude normally stereotypical of gun store workers and has been incredibly helpful and friendly with both of my firearms purchases. The store itself is also neat, has a wide variety of both practical and more fun/unique guns, and the two dogs there are just the best and so friendly. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in the South Bay or la area. He also gives solid advice to those with questions. This will definitely be my go to shop. read more

I stumbled across this gem of a gun shop and couldn't be happier. I've dealt with plenty of places that make buying firearms a hassle with poor customer service, but this was the complete opposite. Excellent experience working with Jack and Dash. They did a fantastic job in not only navigating me through the rather tedious CA requirements, but in professionally answering any questions that i had regarding the firearm and their gunsmith services. Although it's not obvious walking in, they also have an excellent inventory of parts and accessories. They also worked diligently to get the specific firearm I wanted in these crazy supply choked times. Added bonus: they have the two most chill dogs to hang out with. I brought in my Colt Gold Cup National Match to get a new front sight staked on since the original came off during a shooting session. Covid caused delays and after 3 months I just went back and took the pistol home since it wasn't being worked on. I guess gunsmiths are scarce. I realized I was going to have to repair my 1911. Bought a Strobel front sight staking tool online and staked on a fiber optic front sight myself. Red Rifle taught me the hard way that real independence is being able to do things yourself. 5 stars for giving me a real lesson I'll remember the rest of my life. read more

Had been to a couple gun shops in California (originally from TN) and have had an overall terrible experience. That was up until I came across Jack at Red Rifle. Was shopping for a Glock 19 and got it right from Jack. Hands down the friendliest, honest, and most reasonable dealer I've come across here. Jack is well in tune with his customers and their needs. How many other places will the owner of the store go out of his way to meet you on a Sunday and show you the ins and outs of your firearm. I'm fairly new to this hobby and frankly it's pretty intimidating going to the range your first time not knowing how everything works. Jack really cares about the sport of shooting and wants his clients to know that he pours his heart into his work. Jack at Red Rifle has a small store that provides a FFL service that is free from long lines or waiting times, has prices that are similar to Turner's sales prices...for all of the firearms he sells. If he doesn't have what you want at the time, he can get it usually within a couple of days, as long as it is available to him from his wholesalers. His store is located near the Carson Mall, convenient for me since I am in the South Bay. Jack does private party transfers also. read more

This shop is awesome! I work law enforcement and Jack was very helpful and made it easy to get my off roster firearms. I talked to him a few days in advance and when I showed up to the shop my stuff was already in. Quick in an out. Having the shop by appointment is nice because you don't need to wait in line. Show up and boom you're ready to go. Good inventory and if not in stock he can get what you need very fast. Pricing was very good too! read more

Great place! Bought several guns here for me and boy. The guys at the shop were very knowledgable and helped me figure out what I really wanted. After taking a ton of the owners time talking about all my possibilities he still took some money off my first gun. Worst gun shop EVER. Jack the little punk who works there is a disrespectful POS. These morons did a modification on my AR and when I went to pick it up the collapsable original stock was no where to be found and they acted as if it was my fault? LOL.
