Visited red Ridge receptions for a friend's wedding. It was really beautiful. I liked their outdoor service area. It has a great backdrop. We attended a wedding in August and it was pretty hot outside because as a guest, you have to stay seated for a bit for the whole ceremony, but that is a seasonal thing. There was an outdoor patio appetizer set up area to mingle for a little bit, and then we moved indoors to be seated for dinner and the reception I thought the venue was perfect. The only big tip that I would have liked to have received before attending was to try to come with an SUV or four-wheel-drive because the incline to get up to the location is pretty steep!! My husband and I had our wedding here just a few weeks ago. Everything was amazing. Chris and Bethany were so responsive and helpful with any/all questions. They even noticed I paid a vendor for something they supplied and was able to reimburse me some money, which was much appreciated! Anna, our day of coordinator provided by Red Ridge, was absolutely fantastic. She was handling things I wouldn't have even thought of. She was kind and team-bride all the way. She was absolutely incredible and I cannot say enough good things about her. Everyone in the wedding party noticed how attentive and helpful she was. The venue itself is in a stunning location. The photos from the evening are just amazing against the beautiful backdrop. Everything was just beautiful, especially because we picked the all-inclusive package which really helped cut down on the extra things I needed to plan as a bride. All of their details were handled with easy to access and manage online forms. The ONLY reason I am not giving 5 stars is due to a very disappointing experience with the DJ provided by the venue. I am trying hard not to fault the venue for this, but it really was pretty heartbreaking for me as the bride. The DJ, a young man who had been with the company several years I was told, played the wrong song as I walked down the aisle. Instead of playing the instrumental version of one of me and my husband 's favorite songs, the DJ played our aisle exit song as I walked down the aisle. The song had words and was upbeat. Although a meaningful song to us as a couple, it was just not the bridal moment I had always dreamt about. It the moment, I just went with it because I didn't want to stop and go back, I just wan't sure what to do, but I really can't stop thinking about how that moment of walking down the aisle that I'e always dreamt of was taken from me by a DJ just not paying enough attention. To make matters just a bit worse, he then played that same song as we exited the ceremony space. I had a few guests mention to me how it was as "interesting choice in ceremony music" and I just had to explain that there had been a mistake. I felt really embarrassed and disappointed. In addition, even though I had hand selected the songs to play at the reception, the DJ somehow loaded up the wrong playlist and the first 4 or 5 songs weren;t ones I had picked. Oldies were played, which was fine I guess ... just not our kind of music. After alerting Anna to the fact that this was not our music the problem was rectified. After reaching out to Chris and Bethany about my frustration and sadness over this issue they were very apologetic and let me know that that DJ would no longer be working for their company. I feel a sense of relief for upcoming brides that will not have to feel the disappointment of having that one special moment ruined, but I also feel a sense of guilt for having that employee lose their position. read more

Wow! Writing a review for Red Ridge Receptions does not do Chris & Bethany, their team and their venue justice. From meeting them the first time we knew this would be the place we wanted to hold our wedding. I highly recommend adding on everything you can with them as it takes off that much more stress than outsourcing it to someone else. Planning - SO responsive and always helpful with ideas. We booked them almost a year in advance and they were in constant contact with us as things were booked, adjusted, etc. I can't thank them enough for the guidance and support they provided us through the process. Even during such a challenging year as COVID, they ALWAYS had a positive attitude and solution worked up. Whenever we were stressed talking to them would ease everything. They also have a great list of contacts they provide you with to help find other services you need on your special day. The Venue - Multiple guests from our wedding day told us this is the BEST venue they have ever been too. The set up is perfect. The flow is perfect. The details are thought out and meaningful. The outdoor area makes it a great space to hold a Texas wedding filled with yard games, space to spread out and beautiful backdrops to take pictures. There is a bridal suite and grooms house that makes the day so much fun for both parties. Day of - From getting ready, to the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception to the exit, everything went perfect. Everyone always says "don't sweat it on the big day something always goes wrong" but because of Chris and Bethany's planning and precision there was nothing that went wrong - not even a hiccup. If there was they handled it because we were never made aware. Everything was a dream. All in all, if your considering Red Ridge Receptions I highly recommend you move forward with them. This venue is quite lovely and well taken care of. I'm giving 3 stars because we signed a contract to have our wedding here. Shortly afterward (about 2 months) we discovered this venue holding 150 couldn't accommodate our guest list. With 11 months left before the wedding. I was told the time had past and she would not be able to book our wedding Labor Day weekend 2020 even though there was about a full year still to book. And she kept 1,000 dollars for that. Extremely disappointed. I get we signed a contract but I surely think there's a true lack of compassion. 11 months out! And she kept 1,000 dollars. They were accommodating to all our requests and any hiccups the day before and the day of the wedding were handled graciously and effortlessly. We had our wedding here about a month ago and it was AWESOME! Beautiful venue, amazing sunsets and the owners were spectacular! Beth and Chris were on top of everything from the get go. However, the best part of booking with RR is Bethany and Chris! I'm embarrassed it's taken me this long to write a WONDERFUL review for Red Ridge Receptions! My son and his now wife got married and had their wedding reception at Red Ridge on April 28, 2019. It was SUCH a pleasure to work with both Chris and Bethany along the way!! They are extremely kind, caring, courteous and helpful. They did an amazing job!!! It was a smaller wedding with around 65 guests, including the bride and groom. It was absolutely perfect!! My husband and I had our wedding at Red Ridge in November and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about the venue and the owners. They were very organized, they provided parking attendants, a DJ, they helped with the schedule, set up, cleanup, and were extremely easy to work with. They helped provide a very relaxing wedding day with no worries about things getting done. The venue is beautiful and didn't require many decorations and they were affordable unlike so many other venues in Austin and the surrounding areas. Literally the only reason I got a yelp account was to express my personal experience I had with Red Ridge , the owners and the staff. They exceeded our exception of what we wanted for our special day. Not only is the venue and view absolutely beautiful, but the entire place is clean and well maintained and really helps to provide a stress free environment for the big day. It ended up raining all evening so the entire staff and owners helped with moving the ceremony indoors and taking away the stress and worry. The bar tender and DJ were amazing as well! Chris and Bethany are true professionals. Our wedding day was perfect and it was because of them. The venue is beautiful being set up high on the ridge and overlooking the country side. The sunset after the ceremony made for beautiful photos. What we liked most about this venue was the total package deal. Everything is included which allowed for stress free planning.
