As some reviewers have mentioned, the prices are a little steep. It says "thrift store" in the name, but thrifty shoppers might be shocked by the numbers on the tags. I'm sure you can find a bargain or two here if you look hard enough. But when I used dinged up Crockpot is priced more than a new one, I wasn't going to stick around long.

What does shoot this place down is that it is unfortunately pretty pricey to shop here. This place has a few dressing rooms and modest restrooms. Rediscovered this spot yesterday on a bike ride into town, and I was reminded that I could spend a lot of time in here. The clerk gave me a friendly greeting, asked if I needed any assistance and I let her know I'd just be browsing around. They did have a pretty good selection, I started in the sale section because I'm cheap (haha). I found several nice tops, that were new with tags, but each of them had a flaw of some sort. I don't hold this against Clothes Mentor, especially considering the fact that this is a consignment store AND that I was mostly looking at clearance items. I guess the part that bothered me a little is that some of the tags would say AS IS on them and some didn't. Maybe not every issue had come to their attention yet. So, just be careful. I found a shirt that was a great price, so decided to get it. When I went to check out the lady working was so bubbly and friendly. I actually enjoyed shopping there and left happy. So, even though Lee's Summit isn't a place I get to often, I wouldn't mind going back sometime in the future.
